This town was Kaiyou, and a storm soon came.

Welcome to Kaiyou, a sleepy little town by the sea. A certain academy by the name of Hope’s Peak has organized a project to analyze student behaviour and performance when in a relaxing environment, and because of this, twenty lucky students have been selected to participate. However, not all is well, and when they arrive there, they find that the town is not as they envisioned. Dark forces stir, and strange entities seem to be content calling the town their own.

You are one of these students, the hopes of the new generation, selected to participate in such a project. You came in with the intention of enjoying yourself, paying your life back home no care, but instead, you find yourself in the middle of quite the odd situation.

Only two questions remain. Can you figure it out? And will you be able to survive and escape before you do?

Beyond Despair’s Bounds is a submission-based Dangan Ronpa roleplay. Applications close June 7th at 11:59 PM PST, and a roster of 20 will be accepted. So, what will it be? Will you solve the mystery, or will you lose yourself to the mists of the sea?
