He's wearing a shawl with faux fur lining, black shirt, overalls, and high boots. He has a backpack on under the shawl. The third is Himiko, they have curly hair and freckles. She's holding the staff from their official art, and their hat has small charms hanging off of it. Theres a note pointing to them that just says 'tired'. The fourth is Miu, who has messier hair and tattoos. She's wearing heart shaped goggles with spikes, a cropped jacket, a zip up bodysuit with a heart zipper, the overalls from her beta design, and intense high heeled boots from her beta design. Random canon fact about Kaede:
She knows how to play billiards.
Kaede really isn't the perfect leader the V3 cast thinks she is but she's not this horrible disaster either. There's both good and bad to her and her leadership, and while it's not very good for the group to have a leader that's not up to standard, it's also kinda believable because Kaede is literally just some girl.
She's not a perfect leader or even that good at conversing with people, that's not her talent, she's literally just someone trying to step up in a time of crisis.
I think it would be good if people kept that in mind while criticizing her. It doesn't make the bad she did any less bad, but it's not right to act as though she should have been perfect.
Guys, he only platonically remembered that they held hands when asked whether or not he liked Kaede. It was also because of his platonic feelings towards Kaede that he got defensive when Maki told him that crushing on Kaede was "weird." It's all because he only thought of her in a platonic way you guys!! /j
I don't know why, but I really like the idea that, if Ryoma survived longer, he and Kiibo might become good friends. They would be the only ones, aside from Kokichi, who question the dumb desicions of the cast. Also, Ryoma avoids the cast while Kiibo is ignored by it. Ryoma could teach Kiibo how to act like a real human and how to play tennis while Kiibo's kind nature could pull Ryoma out of his depression. I know this would be really unlikely due to them having almost no canon interactions.
Idk if Kiibo would be able to pull Ryoma out of depression... one of the big things for Ryoma is that you have to be persistent with him to get him to actually open up abt what's bothering him aside from Being Alive and Kiibo doesn't seem like the type to meddle... and while I love him I think Kiibo is average when it comes to kindness?? He's not a ray of sunshine like Ibuki or anything. Idk I'm not really seeing it...
Honestly, I think Rantaro would be a better match to help out Kiibo with being more human than Ryoma. Rantaro is helpful by nature, doesn't distrust Kiibo and even talks him up to Kaede, and as someone who's been around the globe he could offer a very broadened perspective of humanity and culture- maybe not as much as Kork, but still a fair bit. Rantaro also just seems a lot more open to being friends with Kiibo than the rest of the cast besides maybe Kaede/Miu.
As for Ryoma, Kaede is actually a pretty good match since she's both persistent and overly kind so she could theoretically help him (and sorta does in the FTEs they had.) Plus Ryoma could temper her idealism with realism while Kaede tempers his pessimism with optimism. I've tossed around the idea of a ship between them before and it's pretty solid if you like "opposites attract" type ships. Not my otp, but I think it's pretty cute.
The voiceline that played for the second pic was this "hmmmHMMMM" noise that sounds like she was pouting.
She's been seduced by his confidence but she's still in the lead!
Investigation blush count:
Shuichi – 7
Kaede – 2
[Part 1] [Part 2]
The other day you said that Kaede wasn't a social butterfly, pissed off the cast a lot and was bullied at school... Can you tell us more about that? I never heard something like that before.
I was mostly talking about what happened during the Despair Road and how some of the cast didn't appreciate her meddling in their business in their FTEs.
Like imagine some random stranger coming up to you to explain your own problems to you, telling you how you should fix them and how you've been handling your life wrong. Kaede's not a therapist and they didn't ask for help, so it's not really surprising that they get annoyed.
Eventually, through the power of protagonist rights and martyrdom, the cast does grow to appreciate her help, but the fact remains that they didn't like how she, a stranger they literally just met, prodded at their problems with no tact whatsoever and tried to tell them what to do to fix them despite not knowing the context.
The bullying that I mentioned is mostly a reference to her being called "piano freak" and being out down for her passion.
