she say fuck
s2, e1: i have no idea whats happening anymore. || rose || re: trial?? execution/? h || closed for fuchsia
Honestly - though she was loathe to admit it - Rose had no idea what was happening anymore.
Staying away from her fellow captives and keeping far away from all the goings on of the hotel had come with the slight drawback of being completely and utterly lost. Her investigation had gotten her nowhere except on Colleenâs bad list, she had proved utterly useless in the trial and said absolutely nothing, and now her entire subunit was dead.
Great. That was really just great.
Something she was also not particularly proud of - she couldnât bring herself to watch the execution. She couldnât. Her eyes snapped shut at the very last moment, and she could only hope that nobody saw her do it.
Canât handle a little blood? Ha.
So, she wasnât exactly in the best mood once free to roam again.
After giving some serious thought as to what her next move should be, Rose decided that rather than retreating to her her room it would be best to explore a bit more, and eventually after a bit of wandering found herself in the changing room. The sudden restrictions on where people could go based on what attribute they had made her a bit curious. Would something change about the room, or was it just for the sake of the murder game? Whatever the reason, she was already wary of those rooms. The entire attribute system confused her a bit still - what was the point of that? Why were these the people she was grouped together with?
In a way she was almost glad that her subunit was gone already - not being a part of a team made things easier. Independence was the best option, clearly.
While looking around the changing room she came across some ice cream in a freezer. Fucking score. Hopefully no alarms would go off when she took it.

s1, e3: thats just the tip of the yikesberg || ch1 || rose || re: Death Occurrence
Staying out of the spotlight, so to speak, was not a strategy that Rose was accustomed to. It was something she could never avoid - but here, it seemed easy. Nobody knew who she was, nobody knew her name, and as long as she kept out of sight, nobody would know her face either. And more than it was easy, after the first dead body to pop up and the things they were told that followed, it seemed necessary. Out of sight, out of mind, and out of the grave - thatâs how Rose needed to stay. So for the most part, she decided it was in her best interest to lay low and avoid her fellow captives as much as she could. It was only the smart thing to do, after all. And she had to admit, she was enjoying the lack of attention.
Fortune, of course, couldnât last anyone forever - and though she was glad it wasnât her sitting dead at a piano, it was still a horrifying and sad sight to see. It shocked her and it frightened her and for a moment she thought she might cry - but then she looked around her, saw a few other people doing just that, and shook the feeling away. She clenched her fists tightly at her sides, willing herself not to let a single tear fall, begging that her expression wouldnât betray her and show how scary the sight of the dead body was. She wouldnât be like that. She wouldnât let herself.Â
âOh. Oh no. ThisâŠdefinitely isnât good.â
She knew him. Barely, yes, but she knew who he was. He was a part of her designated trio, or whatever. She could have known him. She could have spoken to him. Maybe she was supposed to, maybe that was the whole point. Sheâd never know him now.
She took a step closer to the body and opened her mouth as though she was going to say something, though she had no idea what she was supposed to say. She had no final words for him. Or first words? What would they be considered? First or final? Maybe both.
On second thought, she closed her mouth. Maybe it was better to just not have any words for him at all.
She turned rather quickly all of a sudden, worried that if she looked any longer she might really start to look as afraid as she was. There was investigation to be done, after all - no time for fear.
s1, e2: Merry Christ || prologue || rose || attn: peach
After theâŠgrand show Peachy had witnessed withâŠKermit the frog,,,and staff that had seemed somewhat incompetent, perhaps because of their perceived physical appearance. In short, Peachy had some doubts about the situation, but her own curiosity about the current events prevented her from rebelling, or trying to do anything that would cause trouble for the somewhat incompetent hotel staff.Â
Deciding that she had had enough of the assorted rainbow that scattered the interiors of the building, she took her own peach covered self and walked away. She hadâŠno idea where she was going, or where or when she would be able to see someone else, but she really didnât care. As long as she could find someone else to have the tiniest smidgen of fun with, she figured that it would be fine. Since everyone was snowed in anyways, she figured that she would go and find some sort of prank, pranking tool, or pranking victim. Either of the three would be fine for her, as long as she could give another student a good startle.Â
Deciding on entering random rooms until she found what she desired, she found herselfâŠwandering to the courtyard. She really wasnât looking for anywhere to go, or to check out, so looking around really was just something that she was doing to kill time and find tools. The combination of them both of the activities make everything efficient for the peach colored girl. Taking a few moments to admire the winter scenery, she stared at the courtyard, and after spotting a ratherâŠcute looking lady, Peachy decided it was up to her toâŠscare or startle the other girl.Â
ââŠâ deciding to approach silently, she took great care to make little noise as she approached the other. After listening to what she had to sayâŠPeach moved again, silently. She noted that the otherâs attention was caught by the tree, and so, she made her move. With ready fingers, she began to tickle the otherâs sides, hoping to earn some sort of reaction from the other.Â
âGot-ya~âÂ
Fun fact about Rose: Sheâs extremely ticklish.Â
Follow up fun fact about Rose: She hates being tickled, because sheâs so ticklish.
Itâs these two facts combined that led to the reaction she had to suddenly being tickled from behind, unable to stop herself from laughing despite the fact that she was not happy with the situation at all.
âWh-what the ffff-â She wonât say fuck. âHeck!â
It didnât take long after realizing what was happening for her to move out of the personâs reach, scrambling forward and turning to look at the grinning girl behind her, preparing herself to run if the other tried again and an escape became necessary.Â
She wasnât sure what she was supposed to do with her reaction - she couldnât believe that sheâd laughed, she was unbelievably annoyed with herself for not being able to stop it. Would it be worse after that for her to act like she was fine with it, or to let the girl know that she was angry? For just a split second she showed no emotion at all, then just decided to stick with whatever she went to naturally.
âYou...really shouldnât do that to people, you know. Itâs not polite.â
Because that was the perfect way to go. Great job Rose, remind her whatâs polite. Clearly the wrong way to go, but she could still pull it back. All she had to do was remind herself to smile.
âI mean, Iâm not upset with you or anything! Just, you know. Be cautious. Not everyone likes having their personal space invaded like that. Some people might actually quite dislike it. Some people might be angry with you and hit you or something. And that would be terrible!â
Jesus youâre amazing at talking to people, Rose.

I DID NOT WANT THIS POST TO SPREAD THAT FAR
i know a candy man | rusty | prolo | attn: rose
âGlad yâfollowed me, darlinâ!â
Way to tip that hat, Rusty. Good one. Iâm really tired and I donât want to write narration. Rusty Crouches behind the stairs, waving cheerily at Rose after he finishes tipping his dang hat. Meanwhile, Watson seems confused. I am too, donât worry.
âSoo⊠itâs, like, super duper secret, and thereâs a 60% chance of it working.â
Maybe he doesnât realize that those are not great odds? Either way, he cups one hand around his mouth conspiratorially and leans over to gesture with the other as he explains his Plan.
âWeâre going to steal lots of candy.â
As if to build dramatic effect, he pauses and grins happily at Rose, waiting for her to react⊠and then just continues anyway.
âSee, the way I figure it, that girlâs gonna be like âno, you can only take some candyâ. And thatâs lame! So we should take lots of candy, because thereâs two of us. See? So, do you have more pockets or do I? Because that person can grab candy while the other distracts that girl.â
âUh⊠I should have introduced myself first, right⊠Rusty Nayler, at your service, and this is Watson.â He gestures at the exasperated-looking dog. âYou can call us whatever. And yourself, darlinâ?â
Admittedly, Rose wasnât sure what she was expecting, but it was not a plan to steal candy. Her surprise didnât show, of course - her expression remained mostly calm, still listening, waiting until sheâd taken everything in to really react to it. It wasnât until they had finished completely that she really thought about what was being asked of her.
Rose was not a thief. Sheâd never stolen anything in her life, sheâd never even come close. Sheâd never even played a character who stole something, at least not simply for the sake of it and out of wanting to like it sounded the way Rusty was proposing. She wasnât even entirely sure she wanted to help steal something, but...this didnât sound like it was too big of a deal. Just some candy, right?Â
Besides. How would it sound if she refused?
âIâm glad that I followed too!â
Oh boy.
â60 percent...that sounds like a good enough chance to try it. Whatâs the worst that could happen anyways, right?â
Cue laugh track. Probably the worst thing possible to say. This was starting to remind her of a role sheâd had once...
âIâm guessing that youâve got more pockets, since my dress has exactly zero. Itâll be me on distraction, and you on candy-grabbing then? I think Iâve got an idea of how to distract her.â
âYou can count on me! Nice to meet the both of you - Iâm Rose. Officially Madame Rose, I guess, but I think just Rose works fine.â
get up and go ! â„ white â„ re: game start, rose
Their conversation was starting to veer towards the more concerning elements of their situation, but White still seemed to be remaining upbeat despite it all. At least she wasnât blindly smiling through it all though, her expression becoming one of thought as prompted by Roseâs words. A little exaggerated perhaps, given how the girl tapped a finger off her chin a few times in what was clearly meant to be a gesture of thought, but she did seem to be genuinely trying.
âMmmm⊠maaaaaybe it does? I donât know! Youâre the only person Iâve spoken to here, so maybe others were going to Hopeâs Peak too! Or maybe itâs just- maybe itâs just incredible coincidence that we spoke to each other first! Ohhh⊠thereâs probably some kind of term for that if so. Iâm not sure how any of that would make us end up somewhere like this though!â
With a light giggle and a shrug White appeared to be done pondering that particular topic for the time being, becoming much more concerned with eagerly waiting to see if Rose would fulfill her request- and she did! Like a delighted child White gave a few small claps despite everything she held or had tucked under her arm, her hands remaining clasped together as best as possible after the third.Â
âMs. White! Oooooo! Thatâs what you said, right? Iâm saying it right? Iâll need to have a perfect introduction, see- I canât mess up on my own name! Wait, wait, does âMsâ mean Iâve been married off or not? Whoâs the lucky person? Oh- no matter! White! Thereâs probably a lot of meaning to that colour that Iâm forgetting right now. Iâm sure that itâs all good though! Hee hee!âÂ
Someone got excited over even the smallest things, huh? That was only emphasised by White grinning widely and essentially making a nico-nico-nii hand gesture by her shoulder, holding that for a brief moment before coming back to speaking to Rose with no silly gestures.
"Rose-chan it is then- for now, anyway! Maybe Iâll shake it up a little! Who knows. Oh, Ms. White or White is juuuuust fine by me! I suppose youâre right though, being able to guess peopleâs colours by, well, their colours! Though I guess youâre right again- we canât guess much more if some of these titles are fancy! Ahh⊠couldnât I have had a fancier one..?â
The way Whiteâs tone trailed off seriously threatened that the girl was going to suddenly become rather dejected, pink eyes becoming a little downcast and the corners of her smile wavering. But then the excitement of the situation seemed to sweep her up again and the girl bounced back, humming briefly to herself as she snapped up her purse and tucked the invitation inside without another glance at its words- before looking up over it at Rose, flashing a stable smile once again.
âDo you want some bubblegum? Iâve plenty! Oh- and itâs pink too! Itâll go with, well. You! Hee hee!â
A coincidence? Rose figured that was a reasonable conclusion to come to as well. It was, after all, only the two of them with ties to the school that she knew of. Maybe a coincidence was all that it was.
âMaybe...perhaps youâre right. Could all just be an incredible coincidence - fate, maybe is the word that youâre looking for? Destiny? Call it what you will, itâs all kind of the same thing. Either way, I guess maybe Iâm just jumping to conclusions a little to quickly.â
Well, she wasnât entirely sure about that. But she didnât think that this was the right time (or person) for her to argue her point.
Whiteâs joy at having her name read to her told Rose that sheâd done the right thing, but it only confused her more than being asked. Maybe the girl really couldnât read? She still hadnât tried to read it for herself, not that Rose could tell anyways. It was almost a little bit worrying to think, but she didnât worry for long.
âMhm, Ms. White, youâve got it perfect! And âMsâ means youâre unmarried, so thereâs no one yet - that youâre married to, at least. But anyways.â
Narration.
âWell, you know, itâs not like itâs your real name. You could probably change up at least the first part if you wanted and I doubt anyone would notice or mind. Something more like Madame White or even Princess White seems like it would fit you much more, especially with that fancy looking outfit you have.â
And then she was being offered gum. She considered taking it, wondering if it would offend White to have her offer refused, but ultimately decided that it was just gum and it didnât really matter.
âThank you very much for offering, but no thanks! I donât really chew gum.â
get up and go ! â„ white â„ re: game start, rose
To say White had brightened up at just the simple addition of a person to talk to was an understatement. Her pink eyes had noticeable excitement in them, smile obviously genuine and clearly fueled by Roseâs words if not just her sheer presence as it grew bigger and gave White a stronger and stronger expression of a child on Christmas morning. Eventually she spoke, and it was clear that sheâd been dying to from how her words came out in a rush of breath. Someone was clearly the opposite of introverted.Â
(See? Everything was solved someway eventually!)
âNo, no, thatâs perfectly alright! Reaaaaaaally alright! Youâve been very helpful already- thank you, thank you! Owe you!âÂ
She gave the other girl a small salute and a wink, briefly sticking her tongue out of the corner of her mouth. Then her expression became more subdued; perhaps a little exaggeratedly so in comparison to some, but that way nonetheless.
âOhhhh⊠I donât remember any plans like that Iâm afraid..! Meeting over the holidays too⊠I donât know why I would have agreed to that, honestly. All I really remember is- yes! Going to Hopeâs Peak I think! Why would⊠wait, maybe-!â A pause in which White snapped open her purse and rifled around, only to come back up with a frown- and no explanation. âUwaa, empty⊠oh well. I suppose weâll just have to try something else..!âÂ
Realising she was beginning to talk more to herself as she got caught up in words rather than Rose White shook her head a little vigorously, curls bouncing on her shoulders before the girl started twirling one in her free hand in a thoughtful action- and apparently a happier one too, as White brightened up considerably once again.Â
âI suppose youâre right though- Rose!â The otherâs alias was used for the first time with a considerable amount of emphasis followed by a giggle, her free hand raised to briefly cover her mouth in a deliberate action. âHee hee! Hello, Madame! Iâm glad I can greet you properly now! Wait, what do you prefer? Madame? Rose? Maaaadame Rose? Oh, wait. Mine is⊠ahâŠâÂ
She hadnât gotten there just yet.Â
Humming a nameless tune in thought White once again flipped her invitation open after a pause, turning it over in her hand rather quickly so it was more in the style of waving the paper around rather than anything more deliberate and useful- but then she held the back of the invitation up, positioned so all Rose could see was âMs. Whiteâ printed in that large font with the girl herself peeking over the top of the paper. Seemed like sheâd gotten an idea, judging by the visible look on her face.Â
âActually- aaaaaaactually! I wanna hear it first! Oh, oh, will you say it to me?â
Well, someone was managing to find excitement in the little things despite their situation.
Though the more Rose spoke to this girl, the less she knew what to make of her, it was always nice to be called helpful. To hear that now the other owed her, however...she wasnât sure how she felt about that. She didnât need anyone feeling like they owed her anything.
âOh - donât worry about owing me anything, please. Iâm just happy to help.â
But soon enough the topic of conversation was switched to matters far more important, which while they still didnât tell Rose much, seemed like they should be focused on. So she wasnât the only one who didnât remember planning to come here, or the only one who didnât think that she would. And it wasnât only that that the two apparently had in common, which only made the situation stranger...
âHopeâs Peak, hmm...? I remember going there too...I wonder if maybe that has anything to do with it...?âÂ
Didnât seem unlikely, knowing what she knew now. Really, she didnât think anything could seem unlikely to her at the moment, she was just eager for any answer. She didnât even notice Whiteâs searching for something in her purse, it was almost like sheâd forgotten that she was kind of in the middle of a conversation. That is, until she was directly addressed again and actually had to respond, at which point she seemed to snap back into focus with a smile on her face.Â
Only for that smile to turn into a brief look of confusion as she was given...a bit of a strange request. Could this girl not read or something? She did mention not getting through the invitation. Rose couldnât decide if she admired the boldness in asking for such a simple task to be done for her or pitied it. Either way, though, it seemed that it had to be done.
âS...Sure! Now that I think about it, I probably could have guessed from your outfit, but...hello Ms. White! I think everyoneâs aliases will be pretty easy to guess, actually, if they have to do with the colors theyâre wearing...though then again, maybe not, since Iâd expect something more simple like Ms. Pink for myself, no need to be all fancy with the Madame Rose.â
âAnd you can call me by both or either, I donât mind! Not like itâs my real name, after all. No need for me to care about how itâs said.â
i know a candy man | rusty | prolo | attn: rose
Following his conversation with Fuchsia and departure from the starting zone, Rusty had spent the next hour or so wandering around, looking for Love Gems. It wasnât anything he was unused to, of course, as he had gone through the inevitable Normie Grinding âą in both Aichuu and Love Live. In fact, he considered this much more fun! With Watson trailing behind him dutifully, he managed to locate a grand total of 5 whole gems on his grand search, the last of which involved a staredown with a picture of a really nasty-looking green-haired person. They really looked like an asshole. Still, Rustyâd gotten a gem from them, so he could leave soon after, and quickly enough he was located⊠at the loveca machine! Ready to spend!
âAlly-oop, prayinâ for good luck!â
Thanks, Rusty, thatâs really gonna help. As the machine stops rattling, he eagerly reaches for his items, pulling outâŠ
# 40 Class Photo! A large class of 30 students standing in rows of ten smiling at the camera on their big day! One lone child in this picture isnât smiling. Their messy black hair obscures their face. But theyâve been positioned on the end of the third row the only non smiling child towers over their classmates.
# 140Â Japanese Horror Game Guide An anthology of all the horror video games made in Japan. Itâs clearly used, based on all the dog-eared pages. The section with the most folded pages, however, is the section dedicated on fan-made games.
# 91Â Elephant Plush Your very own personal pet elephant that you can bring everywhere with you. The patchwork gives it a very homely feeling. It looks much happier in your arms. Could it be your next best friend?
# 122Â Picture of Umi Sonoda A beautiful, printed out picture of an UR Umi card from the game Love Live! A happy waifu makes a happy laifu!
âWah! Umi! And this plush is cute, tooâŠâ
He didnât really know what the other two things were, and wasnât interested in them, either. Theyâre tucked unceremoniously under his arm, the other two things held more gently as he registers the last item.
# 2Â { Rose Tolerance } The owner of the keycard with this skill equipped will gain a higher tolerance to strong smells and messy scenes, allowing them to investigate gorier and gross murders without being ill.
This was weird.
âGory murders? Jeez, at least give a guy some training or something⊠Iâm no private eye! Kyehehe, how useless⊠shoulda gone to someone else.â
Still, he was the recipient, so he simply sighs and puts his keycard away, toting his new loot off to his room.
â â â
With that done, Rusty is off once more, this time with an old-fashioned polaroid camera around his neck and a bag under his arm. Who knew what he was planning to photograph, but he definitely has a location in mind. Maybe heâs going to go use his weird new skill to commit murder?
It becomes clear when he reaches his destinationâ the candy counter, where he stands looking in delight at the variety of sweets available. He even seems to be singing a little song, although itâs mostly made up of him repeating the word âCandy!â over and over at various pitches. After a moment of deliberation, he turns to look down at the dog ever-following him, wagging his finger sternly.
âNow, now, Sonchan, you canât have any of these. Theyâll make you sick! Got it?â
The poor dog gives him an exasperated look, as she always does, and he looks sheepish as if sheâs scolded him.
âDonât look at me like that, okay? I just wanna keep you safe, y'knowâŠâ
As he carries out this elaborate conversation, acting as if Watson is actually responding to him (really, how lonely is the guy that he acts like this is completely normal to do in public), Rusty finally notices that heâs not actually alone at the candy counter. Thankâs, Dude!
With an exclamation of surprise, he stops talking to his dog and turns towards the other personâ a very pretty girl, if he (and Finn) had anything to say about itâ and performs a very elaborate bow. Sadly, he doesnât tip his hat, but maybe thatâs for the best.
âJeez, how rude of me to carry on like you werenât even here, darlinâ. Are you lookinâ to get some candy, too? Thereâs a wide array, huh? Itâs hard to pick⊠hey! Iâve got an idea!â
Oh no.
âYouâve gotta come over here, okay? Donât worry, Iâm not gonna try anythinâ, but weâve gotta be like⊠super secret agents!â
With that, he drops into a surprisingly agile crouch and scurries over to hide behind the edge of the staircase out of Colleenâs line of sight, beckoning Rose to follow him. Why god.
Thereâs still much of the building to explore even on just the first floor, leaving Rose with quite the decision to make - where does it sound most important to look? A study, a loonge, a coat room, a...candy counter? Interesting. Perhaps not the most useful thing around, at least not the most obviously useful, but...Rose couldnât exactly say she didnât want a little bit of candy. There couldnât be any harm in going there at least, just to check it out. And maybe get some candy if nobody was there to look (and judge).Â
Sheâs greeted by two things at the candy counter, one expected, one unexpected. Whatâs expected is, of course, the candy. And, she supposed, Colleen being there was somewhat expected as well, since of course they would need someone to watch over the candy and make sure none was stolen. She considered for a moment if getting candy would be alright since it was only Colleen there, but before she could really make a decision she noticed that it was in fact not only Colleen there - which is where the more unexpected part came in.
Also at the candy counter was a boy talking to a dog.
It was his dog, she presumed, since it was following him around and he was talking to it after all. And maybe it wasnât so strange to talk to a dog. What did she know? Sheâd never been around one for more than a few hours. But still, she couldnât help but think it was a little weird that he was basically trying to carry a conversation with a dog. She didnât really know what to do. Should she say something? Should she just let it happen? Did he even know she was there? Whatâs happening. She just decided to let it happen until he noticed she was there and said something to her instead of the dog. Admittedly, she didnât quite know how to feel about that bow, but she had other things to think about.
âOh, donât worry about it...! And, ah...I donât know, Iâm really just looking around. I wouldnât mind a piece or two, I suppose, but-â
Well it looks like something completely different is happening now.
She tilts her head in confusion and stares at him, unsure whether or not to follow. What could possibly go wrong? Is the last (stupid) thought she has before shrugging and deciding that she could handle whatever might happen, and following his lead. Once she was sitting beside him, hidden out of Colleenâs sight as well, she looked towards him expectantly.
âSo whatâs this mysterious plan? Must be important to require not just secrecy but super secrecy.â
get up and go ! â„ white â„ re: game start, rose
âOh my.â
A very subdued reaction given the situation that the girl now to be known as Ms. White had found herself in. Especially given the girl herself.Â
While of course being something of an active individual White decided not to display that particular trait right away, continuing to lay where she had found herself even as the voices ringing around the room became louder and more involved. It was only at the mention of an invitation of some description that finally perked White up- well, to tell the truth, it was more the implication that someone could have been pilfering, as the frog head boy had put it. Oh gosh. Mama had always told her to be careful-!Â
Alright, letâs sit up then! One, two- good job, nicely done! A smoothing out of her dressâ skirt - oh this was a nice one, thank goodness, at least she would be waking up here with some dignity! - before White began patting her hands around herself, a frown becoming more and more pronounced on her face before being abruptly wiped away as her hands finally closed on a small purse. There we go! A surge of relief. Now. what was this about an invitation?Â
Ah.Â
Unfortunately White didnât quite manage to pass beyond âYou have beenâ before something else was being brought to her attention- oh well! She could deal with this particular scrap of paper later. After doing a small bit of subdued juggling with paper keycard and purse White deemed herself ready to listen again and so she did just that, all the while kicking her legs where she sat like an eager-to-get-going child might.Â
(Snowed in, though?⊠Easily sorted in many a way in time, right? No cause for concern!)
Perhaps she should go back to that invitation now.
It was this that White was frowning at when suddenly another presence made itself known to her; actually directly to her this time- and that alone was enough to remove the frown from her expression again! Snapping her gaze up from the paper a bright smile came to the girlâs face, White instantly jumping to her feet with a clatter of her heels and a giggle, clearly brightened up by both the sudden company and the pun.Â
âHee hee! Good one! I have to to say all that was⊠well, nothing I expected at all, buuuuuut I suppose it had its own charm! Oh! But a pleasure to meet you too- ah-â
Seemed that White had suddenly ground to a halt despite obviously getting into an excited gear, an air of sheepishness clouding her expression with a gloved finger being briefly pressed to her lips like one might to silence someone.Â
ââŠOhhhhh. Iâm not quite sure where to go with that introduction..! Aaaaaaadmittedly, I donât have much idea whatâs going on here- I didnât even make it through this yet, you see! Iâm just going off what I heard!â A brief wave of the invitation she still held, with perhaps a little more enthusiasm than was necessary.  "Ah well. I suppose Iâll get there- eventually! Oh, oh, wait-! Could you maaaaaaaybe help a girl out? It seems like you know your stuff already-!â
Well, Rose, you now have White biting her lip and looking at you more than a little eagerly. Good luck.Â
Well, she couldnât say she wasnât disappointed that of course she had chosen to approach someone who not only didnât know what was going on, but didnât even seem to bother with trying to figure out by reading the information given to them, but no matter. She seemed to be a nice enough girl to converse with for now, and Rose wasnât the type to just ignore someone and walk away as soon as she realized they couldnât help her (unlike a certain dead magician who will go unnamed).
Even more than that, the girl was asking her for help - and how could she turn that offer down? She perked up and tried to stand even straighter up than she already was (though unfortunately not much could be done about the height the other girl had on her).
âOf course, happy to help! According to the invitation, it would appear that weâre in a building called the Tudor Hotel, where weâre supposed to be staying until December 29th to meet a mysterious person called Inspector Pry. I believe weâre to meet with him on the 25th, so weâll be staying here through the holidays, which is odd, but I guess whatâs happening. You wouldnât happen to have any memory of making plans like that, would you?â
Her smile faded just slightly as she continued.
âAh...Iâm afraid that thereâs not much more I can tell you that we both didnât hear already. But weâll find out eventually, right! If this meeting is coming up, I guess itâs only a matter of time...â
âOh! And another thing, I forgot to introduce myself! Apparently weâre supposed to be going under aliases while weâre here instead of our actual names. So, hello! My, uh, ânameâ-â She put air quotes around the word. â- is Madame Rose! Whatâs yours?â

With clearly nothing better to do than explore the strange hotel in which she was apparently confined for god knows how long, it only seemed natural to Rose that thatâs exactly what she would do. If she wasnât going to get answers from the only people who openly seemed to know what was going on, she would just have to go on a hunt for them herself. A hunt which, unfortunately, left her mostly empty handed. But at least it was a nice hotel, right?
For the time being, she was sticking to the first floor, since there seemed to already be a lot of different rooms to explore. The crowd once initially gathered in the lobby had long since dispersed, leaving Rose with plenty of room to go where she pleased with little chance of being interrupted. The most obvious place to go seemed to be into the hall and trying to get through the front door, but it was useless - just as Colleen had said, they were snowed in. At least that much was actually true, and she hadnât just made it up to keep them all inside.Â
Unsure where a good place to really start would be, Rose turned to her keycard for help. She was grateful for the map feature that it provided, and paused right where she was standing to look at it and decide where to go. No place seemed more likely to have some kind of clue than the next, but it didnât seem less likely either - until she spotted an area that was apparently a courtyard. Well, courtyards were outdoors, werenât they? Which meant that if she could access the courtyard, thatâs at least one place she can go thatâs outside. Did it really mean anything? No. But was she going to pretend it was a big important discovery? You guessed it.
When she got to the courtyard, however, she was a bit disappointed to find that there was really nothing more to see than a Christmas tree. She thought how strange it was for her to not only suddenly be at this hotel for some reason, but for her to be here so close to Christmas - surely her family would want her around for the holidays?Â
âWhat the heck is going on hereâŠ?â
She wondered aloud, staring up at the Christmas tree with such rapt attention that she wouldnât have even noticed if someone were to come up behind herâŠ

There were probably worse ways to be woken up than by a strange man wearing a Kermit head.
However, in the situation where she actually was awoken by a strange man wearing a Kermit head, that wasnât exactly the first thought that Rose had. Rather, her first thought was something along the lines of âThis is not my bed, this is not my house, this is not a person that I know"Â followed by a slightly frightened sounding "What the heck?!â that may or may not have been less of a thought, more of a whisper to herself. Unfortunately - or, to her, very fortunately - she quickly became aware of the fact that she was not alone wherever it was she had been sleeping, prompting her to force any worry about the situation that may or may not be rapidly rising right back down where nobody could see it. Within seconds she was sitting up ramrod straight, expression one of only mild confusion as she stared at the strange man (now sans the Kermit head) and listened to him speak.
Listening, however, only brought that mild confusion up to extreme confusion and beyond.Â
She was relieved when the woman came out, as she seemed to be much more likely to give straightforward answers than a man who walked around with a Kermit head on. ButâŠit seemed like even with her there, there really werenât that many answers being given. There were letters, there were keycards, and there was a very last minute addition about âBy the way, weâre all stuck here!â, but there were no answers. Why did she need an alias? Why was she in a hotel to begin with? Who the heck was Inspector Pry?
Rose wasnât just going to chalk it down to her own personal forgetfulness. No way.
She briefly scanned the information given on her keycard, looking over the basics, which she already knew about herself, and eyeing the things that she didnât understand at all - the âattributeâ for example.
âSmile, huhâŠ? Figures.â
But this was no time for her to dwell on that - she had answers to seek out, after all. With her keycard in hand as she cursed her dress for itâs lack of pockets, she stood and surveyed the room to find someone who might be able to provide some kind of information. Any at all. Really, though, it seemed like any of them could - she just had to pick a person and hope that maybe they would have something to offer. Which is exactly what she did, spotting a girl and deciding there âAlright, itâs her then."Â Without a moment of hesitation she headed towards the girl, going right up to her and smiling as though the two of them were already friends.
"Hellooo!â What the heck was that, Rose. âAh. Pleasure to meet you! How about all that, huh? Weird, yeah, but not the most entertaining or informative to listen to. Even with the frog You know, those Colleen and Lucas people, they put on a good show, but it wasnât nearly asâŠâ
ââŠribbiting as I think they might have hoped! Hehe. Not sorry.â
That was the worst pun Iâve ever heard Rose I hate you.
âIn all seriousness though, that stuff was, well, weird, if youâll excuse the erâŠsimpleness of my vocabulary. Wonder what it could all be aboutâŠâ
No way is she going to ask outright if the girl knows anything, though.
