Veil of Smoke || Gold || Trial 6.1 [RE: White, Katsuo]
Starting the trial, Gold walked in with a look of determination on his face. He had been looking forward to something like this for quite a while, it seemed. It was almost as if he had stopped caring about the game and murders at hand, and instead turned his undivided attention towards finding the mastermind’s true identity.
“It’s true, the mastermind’s alias couldn’t have had a color in it. Although, at the time I didn’t consider that shades could have also been excluded from that rule…”
He took a small pause before speaking up again.
“Anyway, as I’m sure you all are aware at this point, but as it turns out, this game was just that. A Game. Although it may have seemed like we were all in trouble, none of us were any real trouble all along. An illusion.”
“Thus… We can assume whoever the mastermind is, they never had any intention of killing anyone in the first place. If anything, they probably trapped us all in here because of those cards we all received at the beginning. If they were true, if all of us did commit a crime we couldn’t remember, they likely trapped us in this place to teach us a lesson.”
“As for names… I must admit that all of the names I received for personal identity facts belonged to people who perished. However, considering the nature of this world, and the nature of this trial. It should only be fair if I just…”
Another pause as he reconsidered what he was about to do. Although, he really didn’t have anything to be worried about, right? He already knew that the world they had been living in had secretly been consequence free all along.
“My true name is Ryouma Reizei, and I’ve been hiding my talent this entire time as well. I am truly the Super High School Level Whistleblower.”
That wasn’t so hard, after all.
