Luna threw her not-paws in the air, as if being held at gunpoint– making a little squeal as Sumika went off. Gosh darn, did this girl remind her of Boss– all the chewing out and “fool” calling. Being yelled at a lone was hard. Back at home, at least the girl had a few others who she could shift the blame to. Then again, Luna is the leader of– 

Oh right. She was being called annoying. 

Heels together, a playful salute, “Sumi-chan, Sumi-chan! You know me! … Kinda. This kind of situation doesn’t scare Luna! She’s a strong bunny! But …” The bunny girl leaned in, a breath away from Sumika, before pressing a gloved index finger lightly against the taller girl’s nose, and jumping back! 

A boop! 

“Sumi-chan! You shouldn’t yell so much! If Luna had known how pretty you were, Luna wouldn’t have teased you all the time!” Disregarding the Tycoon’s expression, Luna poses, her hands forming a heart. She winks, “You’ll get wrinkles if you scowl!”

It seems like Luna’s trying to give genuine advice. She does want Sumika to cheer up a little. She wants Sumika to relax. But it’s hard trying to make friends without ulterior motives.

“It doesn’t scare you?” Daiki couldn’t help herself but to suddenly interject at Luna’s curious words. Given everyone around them and the varied reactions of either holding their head up high or ultimately falling for the fear of whatever those fast food mascots were capable of, she figured that everyone would at some point get a little nervous. Daiki was certainly nervous, especially now that the hardened woman had made her realize that she did not have her phone on her either.

Scary, considering how useless it would be to anyone besides her since it was an old flip phone. If they were robbing them of items that could get them in contact with whoever was outside of the warehouse, then… well, they were certainly in danger, huh? “Even if it doesn’t scare you, Sumi-ch— er–” The maid’s eyes widened as she then bowed to Sumika apologetically. “E- Excuse me, sorry, sorry, I meant– she still has a point. This isn’t a laughing matter…”

But why Daiki? Out of all people kidnap, why her?

Her brows furrowed together, looking away from the two as she hugged her tablet. “Those… things… the bears, th- they can’t hurt us, right? … They’re bears.”

It seemed impossible to get through to this girl! Just looking at her Sumika could tell her mind was racing a mile-a-minute, which meant she wasn't giving Sumika all of her focus. Rude! She didn't have the chance to reprimand Luna for it though, as she was suddenly caught off guard when the girl bounced right up into her face and left a faint pink blush on Sumika's cheek, along with a booped nose.

How dare-

"What do you mean, tease me-" Sumika started, scowl changing into a suspicious glare, before cutting herself off as they were approached by a third girl. Vaguely familiar.

She seemed to be a person who at least had an understanding of basic manners - which was more than could be said for Luna here - and Sumika 'awarded' this by tilting her head in return to the bow. It was basically a bow back, given their obvious status difference.

"There you go, Miss Luna. This lady understands. Oh, and I'm sure the bears can hurt us, but I doubt they will without any warning. You seem like you're good at keeping your head down, miss, so continue doing so and you'll be fine."

“Waah?! A beautiful girl is yelling about a stolen phone!!” Luna cupped her cheeks, squealing in fake fear, before dissolving into a soft chuckle at her joke– giggle functions were down in the wake of drowsiness. Sure, she just woke up, but honestly, Luna’s been through much worse. 

As dark as the implications were, the girl still found it fairly amusing watching others thrash around in panic and question what was clearly a hostage situation.

She wondered if it was normal to think that. She wondered if the people back at Home thought that too, once upon a time–

The command that sounded like it was meant for a dog, combined with memories of the past had Luna instinctively trotting to Sumika’s heel. Almost as if to cover up the moment of vulnerability she had to herself, Luna held up her hands balled into fists, and cocked her head slightly to the right.

“Wan-wan?” Small tongue out in a blep, her eyes large and innocent– the girl was imitating a damn dog, and she was definitely hoping for Sumika to throw her a bone.

She took the time as the bunny girl was approaching her to properly take a look around, surveying the others. Well, it was definitely a kidnapping if she'd ever seen one...

What a gaudy looking person who responded to her call! Sumika overlooked the girl approaching, not hiding an inch of her disdain from crossing her face. Sumika wasn't even all too bothered with her pantomine of pretending to be some cutesy little lap dog, but that outfit...

"Is there a reason you're making a damned fool out of yourself?" She snaps, throwing her hands up in exasperation.

"Do you think this all is a joke? At least pretend to be a bit perturbed by your circumstances, or else I'll find you suspicious- or worse, annoying."

The ground was dirty - Sumika could feel the layer of dust under her fingers as she pushed herself up to her feet - which meant this couldn’t be Hope’s Peak, surely. Not even if this was some stupid prank. Kidnapped? She had a hard time accepting that as reality when it was talking bears in charge. She must be going mad.

Either way, all she could do was keep her wits about her, stay calm, stay strong and wait it out-

Something buzzed in her inner pocket, and Sumika’s face lit up. As much as it was possible for her to, at least. Her phone! She’d call the cops, the fire department, an über…

Wait.

“This… Isn’t my phone.”

Her phone! With her calender and all her contacts on it! Replaced by this little gimmick that was telling her to… Well, who cares. That was it. Sumika doesn’t take orders. Instead, she turned her fury onto all of the students standing around near her, flourishing and yelling at them.

“Which one of you low-lives stole my phone?! …You! Come here!”

shipping? i am down. im v loosey goosey so you don't need to ask if you're having YOUR character crush (though why on earth would anyone) or flirt. same with if your character primally hates sumika. just go for it. (that said i'm still super excited to talk ABOUT it so hmu!)
