hereās a nice long list of yuri visual novels
A Rude Awakener [TIB Exploration 1]
Raoulās ears twitched; someone had spoken up in reply not too far from him⦠although he frowned a bit when they said they didnāt know the answer to his question, and that likely nobody did. But then he perked up! Not knowing the answer was an answer too. Another critical element of logical inference and deductive reasoning.
He also had an interesting shirt and scarf too. They were patterned like his, only with the colors reversed! What were the odds of that, he wondered? It was all interesting stuff. Chi had been nice enough to answer his rude question, and now the poor visual novelist had a short brown dude violating his personal space, staring right at him intently.
"ā¦What else you got?" Raoul asked expectantly, quietly appraising the pattern of Chiās neck stubble.
Perhaps that was a mistake.
While it seemed sensible to keep people informed and try and get as much information about the situation as possible - because that's what you did in mysterious situations - he hadn't been expecting the asker to get all up in his grill. The dude did admittedly have choice taste in attire, and he felt a bit better in the knowledge that he wasn't the shortest one present... but was standing that close really necessary? Shit, dude.
"Well." Instinctively, Chi inched back a bit, pointedly trying not to make eye contact with the other's intense gaze. That was... a bit better. Sort of. "Ur, not much that I know other than that, really. Place looks like a shitty art museum, the ladies I spoke to don't remember how they got here, nor do they know anyone here."
He paused a moment in thought, tugging at the ends of his sweater's sleeves as they slipped over his palms again. "I can't say I do either. Mind's been empty as a new project since I woke up." He grinned nervously, glancing back at the other to see if he'd given up his staring ways.
"I don't suppose you know anything about all this, do you?"

A Rude Awakener [TIB Exploration 1]
Raoul Caria was the absolute best. Top of the world. No-one could touch him.
"Is there anyone out there who can hold a candle to me?!" He asked, arms outstretched to the crowd who watched him in awed silence. "Donāt answer all at once, now."
ā¦Then he woke up.
..
A wave of dread washed over him as he opened his eyes and realized heād fallen asleep on the floor; an unpleasant reminder of simpler times when he suffered from anemia (and bedwetting, and hopefully never both at once). It was a mixed relief as he got hold of his senses and concluded his sleep had been an unnatural thing neither his nor his small bodyās fault; this was no more than an awkward surprise.
Another awkward surprise was looking up and around at the garish testaments to mankind all around him, all of which he took in as he stood and shook off his scarf of the floor dirt he couldnāt see but knew beyond a doubt was there. Only when heād taken in every last piece of godawful artwork as far as he could see did he realize there were other kids his age nearby, some of whom looked just as lost as he.
"Hey hey hey!" He barked aloud to everybody and nobody at once. "Whooooo here wants to tell me what the hell is going on?"
This was literally the worst painting that had to exist in history.
Like, even worse than that one painting restoration that made Jesus into a vaguely simian looking creature. The explanation for its presence wasn't exactly clear either... and scratched out in places. Who saw fit to display this, anyway? Shit was basic as all get out.
He took the sudden outcry from another in the room as both an invitation and an excuse to stop examining it.Ā
"I don't think anyone actually knows!" Chi called back, half hoping someone would deny his assumption. He cast a cursory glance around those in the room... or, who remained in it anyway. A large group of the other people had already begun to move on. Only one guy remained collapsed on the floor now, although trying to wake him didn't seem like a great idea.
"From what I've picked up, everyone just sort of woke up here without knowing why. Unless you know anything, I'm afraid you're just as shit outta luck as the rest of us."
(Everyone?) Got Low [Fuyuuko route]
Damn it, why must all of them be so cute? On a scale to 1 to 10, he was a 8.9, obviously her in the lead. Maybe if he was more squirmy then he would get a higher score! But for now, heās stuck with what he got.
"Cross country, yup!" She was almost beaming at herself, like some sort of highly obsessive fan. Hearing him calling her impressive was, well, really exhilarating! But she must stay calm, she mustnāt scare this cutie away! "Well, there are races during fall and winter. The international competitions are the ones I compete in, the tracks aboutā¦hmmā¦8 kilometers? I enjoy the 12 kilometer ones the most thoughā¦.āAhh, sorry! I talk a lot!"Ā
Rubbing the back of her head, she sighed at her big mouth and long words. She couldnāt help it! Talking, wait no, boastingĀ about her sport is kinda her favorite thing to do for praise.
"Ehhh, I would break them butā¦we donāt know the consequences of that. Rather not break them, hahhhhhā¦" She breathed out uncomfortably, not liking the idea of getting in trouble in a place she hardly knew, as well as looking like someone who actually knew what to do.
In the way most things involving personal fitness went, that... went completely over his head.
Not wanting to look too much like an idiot, he employed the longstanding tradition of smiling and occasionally nodding, occasionally making a point to look impressed (which wasn't too hard, thankfully). Thankfully, as she was trailing off, he took the cue that she was winding down and made a point to shake his head, attempting to be polite. "You're all right! Everyone has things they're passionate about." He offered her a grin.
God knows he probably would have gone on a lot longer than she had.
He gave a small, knowing nod. "I'd rather see what's on them before we break them." He mused, rolling his shoulders in a light shrug as he took a closer look at some of the paintings, squinting. Maybe they had cameras in the eyes, or... something. Like they did in spy movies. "Y'know, in case whoever set them up would show on them. That'd be nice to know."
((what? who drew this, not me, nope uhhh runs away))
(Everyone?) Got Low [ Kikyo route]
"Oh, I understand that," she smiled. Even though she wasnāt an artist herself, the only people that treated her kindly back home were artists and she remembered how often they would complain about not being able to draw the other eye, and things like that. She really admired them, though, even if they all thought their work was crap (she always disagreed, though).
As Chi glanced at the other students, Kikyo followed suit. She absently noted that not everyone was up yet, but the majority seemed to be wandering around aimlessly. They all seemed confused, and that worried Kikyo a lot. Did nobody know what was going on?
She snapped back to attention when Chi spoke again. āYeahā¦ā She glanced around again, āIt doesnāt seem like anyoneās very comfortable here, so Iām guessing theyāre as lost as we are, but itās worth a shot at least!ā
He was a little relieved that she didn't react poorly- modelesque as she was, 'art' didn't always associate itself well in the minds of everyone. Well, at least not in the way ''respectable'' sorts of things such as the sciences did. He returned the grin, albeit his own was a bit lopsided.
"Well, lost or not, we might get closer to the full plot here, at least. It'd make it easier to decide the best option." Yes, the more he thought about it, the more he liked it- although before he could say anything more, the distinct sound of... crying? Was someone crying? ... Already?
Kikyo apparently had chosen her first interviewee. He considered calling after her to tell him if she'd received any important information, although he... admittedly didn't want to get involved in the waterworks situation. He wasn't very good with crying girls. Stretching, he headed off a bit into the opposite direction, ready to carry out his mission... well, until accidentally nudging into another girl on his way. It seemed getting around here would be harder than anticipated.
- - ROUTE END. //
(Everyone?) Got Low [Fuyuuko route]
The girl gave a sheepish smile, feeling happy that he took her compliment to heart. āWell, I really love seeing you happy! Itāsā¦super adorable your face and all! I wanna kiss it all overā¦ā Whoops! Did that accidentally fall out her mouth? Well, maybe it was planned out from the begging, but hehe, thatās a secret right?!
"Hm? Well, I am kinda used to uncomfortable things! I am a cross country runner, the best actually. Rain and snow, I always run." She shrugged, laughing softly at herself. A bit too much information, but he had to trust her. Her whole life story is being told right here and now basically! Enjoy it, man!
Her eyes then glanced around the room, unsure what to say about this ācameraā situation. On one hand, she really like the idea for an unstated and useless reason, but then on the other she couldnāt possibly show it! āAhā¦ā Her voice faded off, clenching her fists. Thank you Chi for eavesdropping! āI really dislikeā¦being watched. I hate it a ton..yāknow?ā
Temporarily distracted from his search, Chi opened his mouth to reply, although promptly closed it, feeling the warmth in his cheeks moving closer to his ears. She wanted... She... ah. She was very free-there we go-with her compliments; he was reminded of his dear Tomoda-Chis, a bit. Not that he minded, the attention was very nice, and her desires were all very natural, although the last time he'd received a description of what another would have liked to do with him, it had rapidly become quite a bit more... graphic. He'd worn an extra belt and blushed freely at any mention of marshmallow creme for at least three months after.Ā
He was thankful for the change in topic. "Cr-Cross country..?" He paused, attempting to remember what that was. That was... distance running, right? He couldn't imagine walking more than a mile or so, let alone running that and then some. "Even in bad weather? That's... really impressive, actually." She certainly seemed to have the legs for it, not that he had been looking beyond a passing glance. He blinked. "... How does one become the best, though?" Was there races? Probably. He'd never been too big on sports.
Although he supposed that could wait. His attentions passed over a video camera that seemed to belligerently eyeing them in plain sight, and he frowned, squinting at it. Someone else pointed out another on the other side of the room; what... was this, exactly? "You and me both. Although I'm not sure what we can do about it..." Ā
(Everyone?) Got Low [ Kikyo route]
Kikyo hadnāt noticed his lack of focus - she was too busy making sure she didnāt get too overbearing. She kept rambling on, only stopping when he replied to her.
"What do you mean, youāre used to awkward anatomy?" After asking, she mentally cringed. That was way too rude, but she didnāt mean to be! Really! She just wasnāt rude what he meant. But it was too late now. Hoping to cover her bluff, she continued talking.
"I wonder why weāre all here. Everyone seems so different, so itās not like we would have been together before we all arrived here. This is just way too weird to be realā¦" She trailed off to look around again.
Did that kid have a motorcycle helmet? Was that a cat? She tried her best not to judge them, since everyone had their own likes and dislikes, and she canāt blame them for it, butā¦She still found some of these people to be even stranger than herself.
"Oh! Uh, I'm an artist." Chi replied sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck. Well, HE considered his work art, at least- video games were a mix of many, so they should have especially counted. "And... well, before you can adapt your own style, you have to learn the basics or it'll look awkward. You see a lot of weird looking stuff while you're learning."Ā
He was rather proud about how professional that sounded. Explaining his process was a far more difficult thing- it was more... well, better compared to a series of happy accidents than anything else. Which also was a good phrase to describe their surrounding company, apparently. Although a fair number remained out cold on the hard ground, more and more of them were beginning to awaken now.
"I'm kind of confused about that too. Although even if we do have something in common, this doesn't really seem like a place we'd just... knock out, you know?" Well, maybe some of them might, but to his knowledge, he hadn't exactly had a history of fainting. Perhaps he'd collapsed and it did a number of his short term memory, but for something similar to happen to potentially... one, two... NINETEEN other people?Ā
There was something distinctly off here, and he didn't like it. He looked back to Kikyo, concerned. "You think we should ask around? I don't know about you, but I'm rubbish at these Twilight Zone mindgamey things."Ā
(Everyone?) Got Low [Fuyuuko route]
Waving her hand in the air, she gave a chuckle. Her memory of Japan wasnāt much, really. It was almost like here in America, except a bit more smoggy (though she does admit it is smoggy here as well), and just a bit more architectural?
All she remembered is eating watermelons in the summer with her mom while walking around, but it wasnāt really much. Sometimes they would even go to the beach and play around in the sand, but other than that, it was a boring life indeed.
"Hm?" Her thought bubble popped, and she blinked several times before finally speaking once again. "Of course! I really love it a whole ton! Itās pretty neat, if I do say myself! You are really cool!ā Showering people with compliments will help her win some points, yes yes.
Making some sort of whimpering sound, she shrugged and twirled around one of her braids. āThe paintings areā¦nice. I would take some home. It would fit well in my collection.ā Laughing nervously, there was an awkward silence, before she spoke once again. āAh! Iād rather not take the lead. Maybe just lay back, yeahā¦Laying backā¦.ā
Ah... She wasn't listening, was she? That was a little disappointing, he'd been starting to-- wait. She was speaking...
It took a moment for the words that came out of her mouth to register as something with meaning, although the solution he'd come to put an admittedly stupid grin on his face.Ā A lady within his age range... thought he was really cool. He felt a little surge of triumph bubble through his chest. Ha!Ā Better go back to the wikipedia and do some more research,Ā VNchan user aobatan69, because your little theory was just proved fucking WRONG.
"Kehe, I'd been thinking it was a little too old school... but I'm happy to know I can still make it work." He tried to sound suave, although the offhanded compliment caused him to sound a bit too cheery for that. "Thank you!"
Ah. She'd apparently liked the paintings for... some reason. He'd considered apologizing, though he doubted it'd be sincere enough to mean anything. Besides, there were greater things to consider here... things that she'd apparently wanted no part in.Ā
He chuckled a bit. "I don't blame you. Although I can't imagine the floor is real comfy for extended periods."
Or maybe she was used to sleeping upon cold, hard surfaces... which would be intense, although a bit unfortunate. He considered if he shouldn't have joined her, although the passing mention of video cameras from another conversation caught his attention enough to bring him back to the present issue. "... And we might be being watched." He left off there a moment and took a few steps around, investigating the surrounding artwork for these phantom 'cameras'.
Were... they on some weird reality television show? Although he'd thought there was more to them than just dumping a bunch of people in a room and letting them go nuts...
(Everyone?) Got Low [Fuyuuko route]
Giving a quick nod, she rubbed the side of her head, her eyes averting to the ground. āYeah, itās Japanese. Fuyuuko Honpo! I moved over here when I was little so yeah.ā At least he wasnāt like one of those Japanophiles. Those were the absolute worse! But that wasnāt important, what was important is what this guy had to say for himself!
"Chi, Chiā¦." She clicked her tongue as if in thought before finally looking at him straight on happily. "Chi! A nice, suitable name."
Butā¦yeah, where were they actually? She never really thought of it, nor really cared about it. Itās better than sleeping at home. āHm? Me? I have no clue actuallyā¦ā Her voice softened, biting her lower lip. āBut we arenāt dead, are we? I guess thatās okayā¦ā
Chi smiled, tipping his hat a bit. "Well, it's certainly a pleasure to meet you, Fuyuuko!"
Pity she hadn't had the opportunity to remain there. Ah, the tales he'd heard! He would have loved to know what it was like to get lost in the winding streets of Shibuya, or explore the rural areas of the many prefectures... And the history! And the language! Perhaps it was because he spent so much time watching things about it, but Japan seemed like something out of a fairytale most of the time- some fictional realm of higher perfection he dared not suggest exist. But he wouldn't tell her that- perhaps she might have understood his passions, though this was not quite the atmosphere for it.
"Y-You think so?" Chi seemed genuinely surprised by the notion- his pseudonym was... fitting? How? Did people named 'Chi' fit his description? Although he'd yet to meet anyone who bore his name... Although he'd assumed they'd look less like him. Maybe she recognized he was swag as hell, it was hard to say; but it was a nice thought all the same.
"Ah? Dead?!" He admittedly entertained the notion, although soon rejected it on account of the lack of both heat and demonic entities crawling the area. "...No, I guess not...Although I'm pretty sure most of these paintings are satanic, for what it's worth." Or, they at least gave off some pretty shitty vibes beyond merely what was pictured. Grams probably would have suggested exorcising them, no doubt. "But if you don't know, and I don't know, then who's running this shtick, is the question." Investigation seemed to be in order!
He really hoped he wasn't the man to do it.Ā

(Everyone?) Got Low [Fuyuuko route]
Oh no. The figure heād rolled into with all the grace of performing a spin dash was roused by his actions; now he was going to get it! Oh shit, ohā oh. She didnāt seem nearly as scary as heād been expecting. She looked friendly, actually. Or at least the way she was stretching out her arms seemed reminiscent of a teddy bear.Ā
"Ah geez, Iām really sorry!" Chi managed, attempting to return himself to a calmer state as he fumbled for a proper explanation for his actions. ā¦Although the whole hot mess where heād more or less barreled into her was⦠a little inexcusable, really. He found himself getting nervous again.
"I was just really not expecting⦠and then I⦠shit." Wait. Almost squashed? She had to be at least his height, if not larger⦠Th-Though ladies didnāt like being told they were large, did they? Although he hadnāt seen it applied to height⦠Better safe than sorry. He forced himself to sigh, letting out a bit of the pent up tension on the exhale.
"You arenāt hurt, are you?"
"Hm?" A frisky little guy! He had earned more points! She just wanted to cuddle the cute outta him! Clicking her tounge, she tiled her head, a smile on her face.
"Hey hey, no worries. I canāt really get hurt that easily.ā The girl chuckled, as if it was some sort of inside joke. Hopefully, this will make him less jittery. She almost wanted to pat his head, but thatās a bit too far, right?! You must go nice and slow with these guys!
"Mmm, the nameās Fuyuuko. Donāt make me mad and I will love you, ākay?"
"Fuyuuko? That's... Japanese, isn't it?" Ryou asked, almost sounding a little reverent. That... that was so cool! He vaguely recalled there being a Japanese-based school he'd been eagerly encouraged to attend by his fandom, although... the name presently escaped him.
Not that it mattered, his primary focus should have been finding the reason why they were in this weird gallery. He tried to push that all out of his mind momentarily, however; she'd specifically asked him not to make her mad, after all. Giving her the silent treatment was best avoided.
"Urm, anyways, I'm Chi. I'll try my best not to cause trouble. Keheh." He chuckled lightly as he took a moment to remove his glasses, carefully polishing off the lenses between the slats on a handful of the green fabric bunched uselessly around his waist. It seemed tempting at this point to sit back down and tuck his legs inside the excess space in his sweater, but then his butt would have been cold. That wasn't a solution. The lady might have taken that as treading on her good graces as well... So he'd remain standing.Ā
The Primary Goal reestablished itself in the forefront of his mind, and he found he couldn't keep it from spilling out. "So, Fuyuuko. This might be kind of a weird question, seeing as you just woke up, but..." He replaced his glasses, eyeing her quizzically. "Would you happen to know anything about where we are?"Ā
(Everyone?) Got Low [ Kikyo route]
Kikyo eagerly shook his hand. Probably a bit too eagerly. She mentally cursed herself for that. She had to play it coolā¦these are new people, and first impressions are important!
"Thatās an interesting name!" She commented, hoping it didnāt come off as snarky or sarcastic. As he looked around, she immediately became worried that she had scared him off. Maybe she came on too strong? Oh God, that would be terrible. She didnāt want to freak anyone out yet. Or at all, but that would be inevitable for herā¦
However, her worries subsided as he turned his attention back to her. She laughed a bit at his statement, and nodded in agreement. āYeah, these pieces areā¦really weirdā¦.and not the good weird, like, theyāre justā¦odd.ā She hoped that made sense, since she wasnāt very good at explaining things. After a bit of a pause, she asked āYou wouldnāt happen to know who any of these people are, would youā¦?ā
She... seemed content so far!!! That was a huge success in itself. Sort of. She hoped she didn't notice the way he bit his bottom lip at the comment on his pseudonym. It... was kind of tacky at this point, he wasn't blind to that. But what could he change it to? He honestly had no idea of anything he'd willfully like to stick with that he could also adapt his online fandom to. It was always something, it seemed...
But the focus shifted back to the 'art'. He nodded along with her commentary, squinting a bit. "A lot of the anatomy on these is really skewed. And believe me, I know awkward anatomy." He chuckled, although it escaped his notice that without context, that... likely sounded a little strange. The comment was allowed to die off quietly in the uncomfortable pause, however... which she was kind enough to break. What a woman. He envied her conversational skills, a bit.
"Not a one." He shook his head. "...I don't really know much of anything, really. Can you remember anything at all from the other night?" He asked, rubbing at his chin. The more he tried to think about it, the more... fuzzy the details seemed. It was unsettling, almost. "I'm turning up nothing."
(Everyone?) Got Low [Fuyuuko route]
Ngh⦠Gosh, it was⦠hard. And cold. But⦠smooth? He hadnāt fallen asleep on the keyboard again thenā¦
Chi shifted a bit, although he wasnāt feeling terribly inclined to get up.Ā Cold or not, his brain was buzzing like at least twenty different mosquitoes, and further solving of this mystery would probably require eyes. Dully realizing he didnāt feel even the slightest pinch upon the bridge of his nose, made the effort to extend his arm at least, feeling around the surface for where his spectacles might have gotten to. Hopefully nowhere far; the last time heād left them in the bathroom by accident had him searching around for hours.
Although the midst of groping around for his glasses, his fingers brushed across something⦠distinctly warm. It was kind of a nice contrast from a surface he was steadily coming to terms with as being the floor- maybe it was an electric blanket? Wasnāt very fuzzy, but it felt like some sort of fabricā Jesus Mary Joseph did it just move.
With a surprised squeak, Chi rolled away from the foreign⦠thing, vaguely aware of the soft clatter that came of the action as he skittered with all speed away from one warm lump⦠only to bump into another. āShit!āĀ
His eyes snapped open as he staggered to get up on all fours, panicked and blind, scooting back to try and put as much distance between himself and what he was quickly realizing to be peopleā wait. People?
He was sleeping⦠near people? Damn. His game was swaggy as fuck the other night.
ā¦Well, not that he remembered it. That was almost as disappointing as it was a relief. Much to his fortune, however, he felt the familiar sort of ache of plastic pressing into his hand. Yes! His glasses! Hurriedly, he put them on, not bothering to wipe the smudges as⦠he failed to recognize his floormates⦠any of the⦠one, two, three⦠nineteen of them. Wow. Wooo-ooow.
"What happened last night?" He asked absentmindedly, covering his mouth upon realizing heād been thinking aloud. Er⦠no more of that, then. Heād probably embarrassed himself enough for one⦠whatever time of day it was in this chilly ass hell.
Someoneā¦touched her? Well, not touch exactly, more like bumped into. It was still uncomfortable anyways. A yawn escaped from her mouth, her eyes slowly opening up, only to be burned by the light. Ow! She nearly swore there, but thatās terrible!
Getting up on her knees, she slowly crawled towards the guy who dared to touch her. Huh, cute really but, hmmm. Fuyuuko began to stretch her arms, trying to spark up a conversation with this man (more like child really).
"You shouldā¦" Yawn and change stretching position."āreally be carefulā¦Yāalmost squashed meā¦" She shrugged sheepishly, rubbing her eyes.
Oh no. The figure he'd rolled into with all the grace of performing a spin dash was roused by his actions; now he was going to get it! Oh shit, oh-- oh. She didn't seem nearly as scary as he'd been expecting. She looked friendly, actually. Or at least the way she was stretching out her arms seemed reminiscent of a teddy bear.Ā
"Ah geez, I'm really sorry!" Chi managed, attempting to return himself to a calmer state as he fumbled for a proper explanation for his actions. ...Although the whole hot mess where he'd more or less barreled into her was... a little inexcusable, really. He found himself getting nervous again.
"I was just really not expecting... and then I... shit." Wait. Almost squashed? She had to be at least his height, if not larger... Th-Though ladies didn't like being told they were large, did they? Although he hadn't seen it applied to height... Better safe than sorry. He forced himself to sigh, letting out a bit of the pent up tension on the exhale.
"You aren't hurt, are you?"
