If Elena ends up with Damon I might stop binging TVD after Season 4 the next time.

Just re-watched 3x01 and I just don’t understand. We have the scene where Damon screams at Elena, telling her to stop looking for Stefan, stop hoping he’ll come back, etc etc, and we see her tear up and touch the necklace. Then later on, there’s that beautiful phone call scene between Stefan and Elena.

What I don’t understand is how we are meant to believe that this is the same night where Elena fell in love with Damon. There is absolutely nothing to suggest it. Nothing at all. She was furious with him in that episode when she found out that he had been tracking Stefan without her. #plotholes

Go ahead and continue to re-write Stelena, Julie. Make them out to be platonic, destroy their epic love, pretend it never existed. Your earlier seasons and earlier writing will always suggest otherwise. You will never be able to re-write their love story, not in my eyes, and hopefully not in any true fan of the show’s eyes either.

Why do you ship Stelena when there's Delena? Like Stefan and Elena aren't even epic they're so cliche love at first sight type thing. Delena has an actual story and stuff. They have more chemistry and passion. Damon challenges Elena to explore the darker side of her, to accept it, and Stefan forces her to repress it. And Elena loves damon more cuz she couldn't live without him in season 6 and had to hallucinate him. She cried hysterically when damon died but when stefan died she just said "omg"

OK I need to ask, do you think you’re the first person to come into my inbox to not give me examples backing up your vague declarations of what Damon does for Elena? Like you guys keep telling me that Damon challenges Elena and gets her to accept her dark side but I want examples of when that is and how that gets her to grow as a character and how she is better off because Damon did these things we never actually see her do.

Damon does not challenge Elena, anon, all he ever did was push her to admit she cared about him when she wouldn’t say it and then you guys called that challenging her when it was just Damon ignoring boundaries. When Elena wanted to kill Rebekah in 4x04 Stefan challenged her to be a better person and to think beyond the rage. When Damon force fed Elena his blood in 2x20 Stefan challenged her to be honest about what she wanted her life to be and she admitted to never wanting to be a vampire. Stefan was there to help Elena see through challenging situations like meeting Esther alone in 3x14 or stabbing herself to stake Elijah in 2x15, Stefan helped Elena with her agency while Damon continuously hindered it because Elena’s decisions didn’t matter what mattered was his feelings which continues into season 6 when he lies to her about having the cure.

When did Damon encourage Elena to embrace her darker urges and if he did how did that help her? What did it do for her? Because what happened, anon, is that the show cheaped out on making Elena darker, the fact that she had feelings for Damon was what was supposed to make her dark, her perception on the world and on people didn’t change, she as a person didn’t change except that the show made her sole storyline to be preoccupied with whether or not she was sleeping with Damon. And in season 6 she is simply an airhead devoid of any personality except for when she’s interacting with Stefan.

Finally yes, Elena did cry when Damon died and did absolutely nothing to find him. She gave up. Like how she gave up in season 5 when Bonnie shaded her for not doing anything to get Damon back. Elena always looks to Stefan to mobilize for Damon, she never gets there on her own. With Stefan though she would take on Damon, werewolves, Rebekah, snakes, she would take a break from school, spend an entire summer chasing leads etc. So I will take that over ugly crying any day

Finally why does who I ship matter to you? You got DE, be happy if that’s what you want.

what if steroline and delena get their happy ending but the very last scene is both Stefan and elena living in humble bliss but then they give each other A LOOK and you just KNOW and the whole show ends on that one look like yeah we were soulmates and we'll always love each other even if it didn't work out how we planned
