Chapter 18 - When No One Else Is Listening

Leaping through the trees, the pack leaves behind a trail of imprints in the snow. It’s exhilarating to be with them. Jumping over fallen trees and streams. The land isn’t quite as untamed as it was when Klaus was a young man, but he can pretend. When they run across a herd of elk, the rest stop to assess while the smaller group Klaus had turned first hang back.

Tyler breaks from the group in an all-out run. A ridiculous first attempt to take down one of the beasts in a flailing motion. But Ray and Sawyer are close behind to help cover his blunder. Bird falls into stride next to Klaus to nip at their heels with the rest of the hybrids who grew up without a pack.

His jaws snap a thigh bone in half and his head is tilted to the sky to let the marrow seep onto his tongue when sirens wail inside his head. Dread and terror. He searches for the source with a deep inhale and takes in the acrid stench of fear. And Elena. He scans the pack and finds Ray staring at him. As concerned as a wolf can look with blood dripping from his muzzle.

Without a second thought, they race back to the cabin.

Just for funsies, what would Elejah's siliest, but long standing fight be?

For example: they fight over what kinds of birds are in their yard

They fight over who cooks dinner all the time

I feel like that's it very hard to choose because I can think of many silly fights they would have so I'm just gonna name 1 or 2 of them😅

I can 100% imagine a fight about elijahs suits with elena trying so hard to get him or wear anything other than suits OR music taste elena would most probably mock his music taste and they fight about which kind of music is better with elena 100% winning at the end with her adorable puppy eyes
