I’m finally done with this film. I may have mentioned that I submitted to the MICA animation festival and I’m sad to say I was declined. (though I’m not surprised) No one can see how hard you worked, how many hours you slaved over something, how difficult it was to meet a deadline, etc. They can only see your finished product. My finished product looks like a glorified slideshow despite the 200+ hours I poured into it. There are a lot of things I should have done differently. I should have made a shorter film, I should have used a simpler idea. That way I could have focused on quality and clarity rather than just finishing it by any means necessary. Because of my poor judgement, my other finals are going to suffer. I feel like this film was all for nothing, but it wasn’t. it was GOOD that I made this mistake now and not senior year. And my film isn’t worthless, even though it didn’t get accepted to a festival and regardless of the grade it gets. I still intend to use it in my webcomic when I finally get around to it, and then it will have plenty of context. In the end I’m sad but I know it was for the better that it ended up like this.

I FINISHED MY THESIS and I will upload the whole thing once I can get it up on youtube I submitted to my school’s film festival. Im nervous about it, but the festival is next friday

compilation of things I did this week. I have 7 scenes left and Im praying that I make it for Wednesday I had to cut out a lot of things that I would prefer to be animated, but I would rather have full color than rough animation. This story is supposed to be kind of emotional, and suddenly seeing rough animation in the middle of all these fully rendered scenes would pull people out of it. OH YEAH side note: my Intuos just gave up on me entirely. I have to finish all my finals on my decade old Bamboo. The universe has not been kind to me this week.

I ONLY HAVE 20 SECONDS (8 scenes) LEFT TO DO!!!!
