Astrid & Absol - Approachable Angel

"Don't get so glum when you lose - that's a natural part of any challenge. It's what you do afterwards that defines you. Apply yourself more after each defeat and you'll like the results!"

Astrid and her Absol traveling along Kalos Route 7, before her days as an Ace Trainer. Still learning the ropes herself, she's not afraid to impart what she's learned to others while being naturally charming and approachable! She has to be if she wants to call herself an ace one day!

Been in a very rough rut these last four months, but I finally finished something after a few days of hard focus! It's nothing impressive, but I love how this turned out regardless! Astrid's outfit is so cute!

A Dangerous Encounter (Original Design)

I read player feedback on the demo of Carrier Wing Ypsilon [Steam] [Itch.io], and people were saying that the character art didn't suit the game's look, them being too cartoony in comparison to the game. A fine point, which they were absolutely correct about.

I did adjustments to the art so they fit the game's aesthetics slightly better. Next demo will have these updated portraits. It was good to have some outside perspective from people who haven't seen my artstyle before.

New characters drawn with the new, gritty style from a scratch, who will also appear in the next demo.

Super Exit!!

Inspired by Donkey Kong Bananza form. It's a rabbit hole since in all fairness her sister Escape needs a super form now too. Exodus doesn't need one, she's already strong enough as the master of the four (or five) elements.

Here's my art summary for 2025. It seems this year I was able to stick to a more consistant method. I also did more work in my sketch book later in the year, which I rarely find time for posting.
