He sighs. “Geez, loosen up will you? You know, if you didn’t react so violently… You could probably just sit back and enjoy the show~” He pries himself off enough to get more breathing space.

"But right now, if anyone other than C-ta and D-ne come in here. This in itself would make many a story. And it wouldn’t even be my fault."

Show? Does he really thinks that this is a show, even with her reaction?

"There is no show to be enjoyed here! Is my life that you’re playing with!"

"And why would someone even come here? No one but the four of us use this place anymore…"

"Oh come off it, B-ko... Honestly don't you find it the least bit entertaining? How those unsuspecting people in our school get frazzled and giddy over something that isn't even true?" He says with a flourish.

"Hm? Well, as they say, 'curiosity killed the cat', yes?"

C-ta goes to bed (“Goodnight…”) and has a dream of A-ya (swinging around the bunny stuffed animal by its ear carelessly). And the occult-fanatics are bonding again (“Occult.” “Occult!!” “Occult!!”), plus E-ki (“Please stop!”).

"Looks like you’re not as ‘helpless’ as that guy always makes you out to be, then, huh. True, your stories are always morbid and involve either death somehow, and people being terrified out of their minds because of it. Some sense of humor you got, buddy, but I can’t say mine’s much better either.”

Kicking a stray pebble off the sidewalk and into the street, D-ne said, “So, until tomorrow, then?”

He shakes his head at her response, there was a small part of him  that appreciated the company of his 'friend' but C-ta treating him like a child does get to his nerves sometimes... "Oh but I do have a sense humor, just a rather dark one. You should be surprised if I suddenly turn sunshine and rainbows." He scoffs.

"It would seem that way. See you then." He nods at her, then walks off to the direction of his house.

Imagine your icon coming home after being gone all day without telling you. You ask what they were doing, and they open their car door, revealing at least 20 cats. they all fall out and scatter, cats endlessly flowing out. They don’t give an explanation, just stare you straight in the eyes as they stroke one of the cats. There are cats everywhere. oh god

"Dried…acorn…That shouldn’t be all that hard to find…That classic rabbit’s foot might work too…" D-ne was, at least, selectively superstitious, when it came to lucky items in general. That old broken mirror had really done a number on her younger self, so lucky and unlucky things had become rather important. She might try some of those when she got back.

"On the outside, though, positive thinking isn’t something that you or I are really good at, right, A-ya?" Might as well mention their ‘common trait’, just for fun. "Mmm…now is as good as a time as any to still head back home, while there’s still light out. Can you find your way back from here? Just asking since we walked around town a bit, although with your phone always in use, I’m sure you could use an app or something."

"It might if you're that interested in ending your streak." He says, taking notice of her slight paranoia over her little shard. He's somehow glad that he isn't like that. How'd he survive his hobby?

"And no it was never something I thought much about. Thinking positively kind of clashes with my like for the occult doesn't it? Since there's barely anything happy or positive about it." He mutters. "Of course I can..." He replies with blank stare. I've gone out enough to figure my own around here. 

[shuuen-kodoku]

"Hm, well I didn’t say that it had to be one of my creations but thanks for the suggestion…” He allows himself a bit of a grin at the idea. 

"Now-" He looks to her hand still clasped around his collar. "Are you going to let go of me anytime soon?"

"That wasn’t a suggestion!"

Ops, B-ko got so distracted that had totally forgotten that she was still holding him by the collar.

Not like she was planning on let him go that easy, after what A-ya just said.

"No, I won’t."

"...And why not?" He deadpans. "You got what you wanted and I'm not immediately going to spread a new rumor." He sighs.

"These masterpieces take preparation you know." He explains.
