The fact that CM are still trying to pretend Emily Prentiss is straight is crazy to me. LOOK at her. Her hands. Her fucking man spreading. Listen, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…
Then, lesbihonest—it’s probably a fucking duck.
Straight people don’t dress like that. Or talk like that. Or strut like that, miss wonky belt-buckle, miss chewed off nails, miss watch-inside-of-wrist, miss simp for Jennifer ‘it gives me you’ Jareau.
prompt: y/n is garcia’s neighbor and the girls come back from a rather rowdy night of salsa lessons and drinks and forget which apartment is garcia’s.
a/n: another crack drabble from my notes app but i couldn’t decide between jj and emily
“pen where are your keys?” emily spoke around a hiccup. they’d all had waaay too much to drink tonight and it was hitting the older woman as she swayed in the lobby of penelope’s apartment building. salsa dancing always brought out the women’s inner alcoholic and it was a miracle they’d even made it to the apartment building in general.
penelope, ever the excitable drunk, circled the lobby in a conga line of one but stopped next emily with a grin. “in here!” she grinned wiggling her cupcake shaped purse in front of emily’s drooped eyes.
the woman nodded and dug around in the cupcake until she felt the metal of the keys and pulled them free from the bag. “alright ladies, i think we’re ready to tackle the stairs now.”
“the stairs?” jj whined pushing herself up from the wall and toward emily.
“yes the stairs. the elevator is broken,” emily gestured to the metal doors with the paper sign on them. both jj and garcia boo’d loudly and mimed throwing tomatoes at the door. “plus i think we need the physical activity to sober up a bit. move out, soldiers.”
jj rolled her eyes and threw a dorky salute emily’s way before practically pulling herself up the stairs by the railings. garcia following closely behind and emily playing caboose on the train of drunk women. they make it all the way to her floor and pause in the hallway.
“pen did you decorate the entire hall?” jj asked in confusion. the normally empty hall looked like garcia’s home exploded all over every door.
“yeah! we had a neighbor decorating party. so now every door looks like mine.” garcia twirled unsteadily and poked one of the wreath covered doors.
“well which one is yours? it’s usually pretty easy to tell when i’m sober but i’m struggling a bit here.” emily asked as they walked the hall looking at each door.
mid spin garcia stops in front of a door with a potted planter and rainbow doormat and grins, “this one!”
jj furrowed her brows, “i thought you lived on this side facing the street…”
“the street is this way, jayje.” penelope singsonged as she extended her finger to boop her nose. “just get the key on my pink key ring. that’s where i keep my apartment key, so when im like this i can remember.”
emily looked jj wearily and shrugged before fishing out one of the two keys on the pink key ring. “as long as one of us is confident in this decision…” she mumbled before trying the key. when it didn’t turn she gazed up at the blondes in confusion. “um it’s not working.”
“oh oh wait, try to jiggle it. sometimes it gets stuck.”
emily wiggled the key all kinds of ways— unknowingly making quite a bit of noise in the hall. she turned to question garcia to complain when the lock turned in her hand and the door pulled open from the inside. all three women froze in shock and slowly allowed their eyes to pan up over the woman holding the door in her hand.
“hi,” she spoke with a laugh as she took in the hazy drunken cloud that was clearly covering the three agents on her doormat.
“garcia, who’s the hottie in pink?” jj whispered out of the side of her mouth, eyes never leaving her woman.
“jen,” emily groaned swatting the blonde’s hip as she watched the blush cover the woman’s cheeks.
“oh my god, y/n! what are you doing in my apartment?” garcia grinned, ignoring her bickering coworkers to pull her neighbor into a hug. y/n pushed her glasses up her nose and patted garcia’s back affectionately.
“penelope, you live across the hall babe.” y/n chuckled sweetly as she held the technical analyst by her shoulders to look her over. “and it looks like you’ve had quite a bit to drink, huh?”
penelope grinned, “uh huh. are you sure i don’t live here? it’s so pretty.”
“yeah hun, i’m sure. here why don’t i help y’all get inside and settled for the night?” y/n asked slipping her feet into a pair of slippers by the door and grabbed her keys. she turned to face the two other women leaning on either side of her doorframe. “and maybe i can introduce myself to your friends.” she spoke with a wink before corralling all the agents across the hall and over to penelope’s door. which looked pretty similar to her own.
emily shoved the keys toward y/n clumsily, “you probably need those.”
y/n accepted the key with a laugh and unlocked the door. “thanks hun,” she pushed the door open and held it open for all three women to file in. “welcome to you actual home penelope.” all three agents fell onto the closest flat surface and released various groans and sighs of relief at not being stood upright. “god you guys really got your fill on whatever alcoholic drink you could. i’m gonna go find you guys some water and advil. don’t move— unless you think you’re gonna puke.”
as soon as the woman turned her back to head into the kitchen, jj and emily both sat up to face garcia. “when’d you get a hot neighbor?” jj asked accusatorially.
“yeah! last i heard there was some old mean lady across the hall. you’ve been holding out on us.” emily chided, poking garcia’s shoulder pointedly.
“down you animals, she moved in a couple months ago. we’ve been a bit busy with you know the dark evil cruelest corners of the US. sorry i didn’t find the time to throw in my new neighbor is hot and single and very into women.” garcia rattled off with a shrug.
“well yes, we’ve been busy but sometimes hot neighbors trump serial killers.” jj replied matter of factly causing emily to tilt her head in thought.
“shut up jj.” she deadpanned with a shake of the head.
“hey!” the blonde called with a pout.
before anyone could actually continue the conversation y/n rounded the island with three glasses of water and a palm full of pain killers. “it seems in your inebriated states, you’ve all forgotten how open floor plans work.”
“oh my god, i think she heard us.” garcia whispered [not actually] to the now blushing women next to her.
“what did y’all drink?” y/n asked watching as each woman downed their water and pills.
“something called the green fairy. very good and very effective.” garcia replied.
“that’s for sure.” y/n nodded in understanding before turning her gaze to the other two women. “as flattered as i am ladies, you can come introduce yourselves when you’ve sobered a bit. that’s if any of you remember this tomorrow.”
“i don’t think either of can forget a face like yours.” emily flirted with a smirk, almost seeming completely sober. until a hiccup distracted her.
“we’ll see about that.” y/n laughed before heading to the door. “i trust all of you can at least get yourselves ready bed. i’ll lock you in for the night.”
“thanks y/n!” garcia sang they watched her disappear through the doorway.
“no prob, pen. come get your keys tomorrow! good night ladies.” the three women heard the door lock from the outside and the echo of the other woman’s door closing in the hallway.
“someone remind me to flirt with her tomorrow.” jj spoke, eyes half open but finger pointed to where y/n had been standing last.
“i’ll set a reminder in my phone.” garcia said pulling the phone from her pocket.
| AN; okay so basically, I’ve had really bad writers block recently so go easy on her please
| other than that I hope you enjoy love you bye
You finally emptied the last box of your new apartment, you moved in about 2 weeks ago and had finally got through every box, you still had a few deliveries on Amazon to come through in the next few days but other than that you were mostly finished, so when the door rang you weren't surprised.
But when you opened the door to find no one there you furrowed your brows, you looked down to see a large box with a very small box on top of it, you peered outside your apartment to see who was there but to your avail you found no one
Upon further inspection you read the package "Emily Prentiss" rather than your own name.
You checked the address and looked around to see that the owner was directly opposite you.
You timidly walked up to the door and knocked on it and nobody answered, you checked your watch for it to read 1:37pm you figured that Emily would probably be in work considering it was a Thursday afternoon anyway, you knocked on the door once more and the door opened, a black cat came out first, you caught the cat before he could escape.
"Hi buddy" you bent down and checked to see if there were any name tags, you found out his name was Sergio "Hi Sergio" you smiled.
"Who are you?" You looked up to see a tall raven haired woman, she looked to be about 10 years older than you and was dressed rather comfortably, she looked down at you, disgust or indignance you weren't sure but you knew it wasn't a look you would ever want to get familiar with.
"I'm sorry" you quickly rose to your feet, even though you were, this woman was still visibly taller than your 5'3 self "I'm Alexandra Lawson, and I'm assuming your Emily Prentiss?" You questioned.
"Hmm" she nodded slightly "why are you at my door?" She shook her head, unsure.
"Oh" you turned your head back at the two parcels outside your door laughing slightly at your mistake of not telling her why yet, "I have two parcels that belong to you" you smiled.
She smiled back slightly "thanks" her lips curved into a very slight smirk as you went back to your apartment to give her the parcels.
"No problem" you tightly smiled.
"I haven't seen you before babe, you just moved in?" She said with a slight hint of deception in her voice.
"Mhmm, yeah I moved in like two weeks ago" you smiled.
"Oh, well. If you ever need someone to show you around here, I would be honoured" she drawled "I know for a fact that when I moved in and I was there for 12 days I would've wanted someone to show me the reigns" she joked.
You laughed until you realised she said "12 days"
"I didn't tell you how many days I had actually been here for" you shifted uncomfortably.
"You did" she lied.
"No...no I said two weeks" you said assuredly.
"No honey you didn't" she said condescendingly that you genuinely believed her for a moment.
"I gotta go, it was nice talking to you Emily" you smiled
"You too Alex" you smiled and she watched you unlock your door, you turned around to see her still there smiling at you, you politely smiled back and fumbled with the key, it was like that you were uncomfortable by her gaze but you craved it at the same time.
Which, realistically was a strange thought because you had only now just met her, but you felt as though you had been known by her for so long.
It had now been 2 more weeks and even though Emily lived opposite you, you still had not seen her, you heard around that she worked in the behavioural analysis unit for the FBI so you figured she was just overly busy.
You had; however, slowly started to feel like you were being stalked, to put it bluntly, it started with that feeling you get when you're tired and you feel like everyone had been watching you, you got a new job in a local but popular cafe so you had regulars and a few odd end people but no one who you deemed dangerous so you just let it go.
Then, there was that one where you were walking home from work at 3am and you felt as though you were being watched, you turned around a few times to see a tall figure with a black hoodie to fit in to the night sky, pulled over their head tightly.
You got home one evening, that same occurrence had happened and all you wanted to do was just go home.
You felt a tap, you flinched and thought that this one was one of your last moments, you ignored it, hoping it was just a bad feeling but there it was again.
You turned around to see Emily Prentiss, relieved you breathlessly chuckled "hi"
"You thought I was a stalker or something?" She teased with her mouth curved into a slight smirk.
You felt as though all the blood was drained from your face, you scoffed and tired to play it off casually as possible "no" you scoffed again "just didn't expect anyone to be there" you both nodded slightly at the same time, she knew you were lying and you were just hoping she didn't have the guts to call you out on it.
"Come in to my house" she challenged "you look like you need some tea to calm your nerves"
You furrowed your brows "I have plans, my brother's coming over tonight, my parents and my nieces are going to be there too, so.. sorry maybe next time" you smiled, it wasn't untrue, your family were supposed to come over for dinner tonight.
"Okay" she nodded "but just remember I know where you live"'
"I'm sorry!?" You scoffed.
"Once I find out if you're lying to me and you are, you will be" she smirked and just walked back to her apartment, you watched in awe until she closed the door.
The first thing you did was call your brother "hey, listen are you and the girls busy tonight?" You asked.
"Uhh..." he paused to check the calendar "no we're not, is everything okay?" He asked worriedly.
"I need you and the girls to come over tonight, I'll explain everything I just need you guys over"
"Alright, we'll be there"
Hours later he and your three nieces turned up at the door "hi guys" you smiled "make yourselves at home whilst I talk to your dad okay?"
They all chorused an okay and just did their own thing.
"Something is going on with my neighbour" You sighed.
"Seriously Al? You brought us all here because you think your neighbour is a little sketch?" He laughed.
"It's not like that" you explained the situation and he agreed to staying.
"And it's like, she's in my thoughts" you sighed.
"Okay now you're just being paranoid" he shook his head.
You both looked over at my youngest niece who was playing with one of your cats.
"I'm not, it's like if I even so much as think about her she's just here" you ran your hands through your hair.
A knock at the door made you sigh, your oldest niece got to the door first thinking it was your parents, excited for her grandparents to appear at the door she bolted for it.
"Hi mom" you smiled, opening the door.
"That's not grandma" Brie noted as Emily looked at you, you turned around to give your brother a stern "do you please believe me now" and he agreed.
"Hi honey, I'm Emily, I was just wondering if I could steal your auntie for a few seconds" she cooed, as Brie timidly hid behind your legs.
"Is everything okay, Emily?" You faked a smile, showing your best to not act scared.
"Hmm" she smiled "um" she cleared her throat by a cough "I could actually use your help with something, I'm doing some redecorating and I need to move my bookcase and it's a two-man job and I figured you said if there's anything you need" she suggested.
"Alex" your brother warned.
"Look, we were just about to have food maybe if you haven't found somebody by tomorrow then I'll help you okay?" you smiled politely and shut the door.
She slammed the door back with her palm to keep it open "no" she demanded, once she realised her tone she quickly changed it "I need help now because... I'm painting"
You sighed, running your hands through your hair "okay, Brie honey, stay with daddy" you turned to look at your bother "I'll be back, there's stuff in the cupboard to make for the kids, if they don't like anything there's money on the table for takeout" you smiled before following Emily.
"After you" she smirked as you walked through hesitantly.
"It's lovely... your home" you gawked, it looked bigger than yours for some reason, the way she did it out was so lovely, and so her, she locked the door and you flinched a little bit, but figuring she worked in the BAU you thought it was just routine.
"Can I get you a drink first?" She smiled.
That's when you became aware of how hot her apartment was, you took off your cardigan and draped it over her couch "mhmm a water, please" you smiled.
"Here you go" she smiled as she handed you the glass.
"Thanks" you took a sip, and then another one, and then another one until you finished the glass, you went to stand up but instantly found yourself to become more dizzy, the last thing you remember before passing out was an incandescent white glow before total darkness.
You woke up with a pounding headache, sunlight shone through the curtains, it felt like the worst hangover in the world, you realised that you were in someone else's bed, you looked around to see that you weren't lying on any pillows and had a thin blanket.
"Such a pretty sleeper" a woman's voice cooed, you recognised it slightly, you still hadn't fully opened your eyes yet, she was standing on the left side of the bed, when you didn't say anything, she waited for you to turn into the middle of the bed, you layed down flat and looked up at her; that's when you recognised her.
You sat up, thrashing against the bed as you found yourself unable to move, you stared at her in disbelief and sadness as she made her way around the bed slowly, watching your every single move, like she was a wild animal stalking its prey.
"Please no" you cried, your arm was attached to an old handcuff so tight that it was digging in to your arm "please just let me go" you grunted.
"That will only make it hurt more" she gently reprimanded.
"Did I do something to you?" You exhaled breathlessly.
"No, not exactly" she thought, she walked back to sit in her arm chair that she dragged to the edge of the bed, facing directly opposite you.
"What are you doing?" You cried.
She checked her watch "waiting" she replied.
"Waiting? For what?" Your breath ragged from panting and sobbing.
"Alex? Baby?" You heard the front door open and close, Emily lifted up your phone and the keys, indicating that she text your girlfriend and that she opened the door "hi I'm here, I got here as soon as I could, I know you said it was an emergency-" Emily stood up and walked away.
"Where are you going?" You harshly demanded through a whisper.
"To tell her to go away" she smirked.
"No" you sobbed "no no no no" you thrashed against the bed.
"Quiet" she harshly spoke "she'll hear you"
Emily left the door open in her room on purpose, for you to hear the conversation.
"Hi" your girlfriend says "I'm Jennifer Jareau-"
"I know who you are JJ, I see you on the news like every week-" Emily sighed.
"Right-" JJ's voice quietened "well, my girlfriend lives here and she text me to tell me that it was an emergency"
"Oh she did?" Emily fiend a thought of sadness and confusion "she must've given you the wrong address darl, she lives in that one over there number 384 not 390" you saw her point to your apartment "sorry must've been the confusion, cause she has just moved in" she said like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Yeah" JJ agreed, leaving to go to your apartment
"Ooh, she just left to get some groceries, she'll be back later so come back later" she said "come back soon, be careful and be safe and be careful and be safe" she repeated, your eyes become heavy
"What?" You said out loud "what is she saying, I don't understand" you sighed out loud your head hit the mattress as she walked back in to the room, she softly cupped your cheek and then let it go just as fast.
"Drink" she demanded holding up a glass of water.
You propped yourself up on your elbows "when did you get that?" You sighed.
"Doesn't matter, you need to drink"
You nodded as she lifted the glass to your mouth, holding the cup up herself as you couldn't do it.
"Thank you" you smiled, realising just how parched you truly were.
"I'm going to unlock the handcuffs to show you something, but you have to promise me that you won't run off okay?" Emily cooed with deception.
You looked down at your blood soaked wrist, you nodded profusely
"I won't I won't" you begged "I just need to get this cleaned up" you breathlessly spoke.
"I'll do it" Emily offered.
"Okay" you said hesitantly, that being the nicest thing she had ever done for you since she had met you.
True to her word, she cleaned you up and put a bandage on you.
"I did something for you, now you follow me" she offered.
You didn't say anything, you just followed her, she stopped at a room, right at the back of her apartment, she took out keys from her pocket and unlocked the door, she went in first and sat down at a tattered old wooden desk, you walked in, stupidly shutting the door behind you, you heard it click and you saw Emily's phone vibrate on the table at the same time, you peered over to see that it was a notification to let her know that the door had been locked from the inside and the only way that either of you could leave was her fingerprint.
You took in a shuddered breath as you took in your surroundings, the walls and the floors were just covered in pictures of you.
"Sit" Emily gestured to the empty chair opposite her, her elbows rested on the dark oak desk waiting for you to do as she said.
You shook your head, standing still in the middle of the room looking right at her.
"No?" She stood up slowly and circled the desk, she walked up to you and stopped at arms length, she sucked her teeth and tilted her head, you turned away at her stare, a photo of you and JJ on the wall in your direction, Emily doing the same
Mustering every piece of courage you had in you, you talked back, you looked directly at her, she was still staring at that photo of you and JJ "no" you said adamantly.
"No?" Her response was harsh and mean as she whipped her head around to face you.
You nodded weakly at her stare, her eyes burning in to you.
"I know you Alex and I know how weak you are"
You scoffed "you know nothing about me Emily"
"Don't I?" She circled you twice, taking slow strides, stopping directly behind you, her hands on your shoulders and her breath in your ear "look around you babygirl, I know everything" she whispered.
You kept your eyes forward, you didn't dare look at her once, you tried your best to not show any fear in front of her.
"That's not true, you don't know everything" you retaliated.
"Okay let's see" she challenged "you love scary movies, the exorcist is your favourite right? Halloween too? You have two cats and three nieces, your cats are called Woody and Buzz, so original" she scoffed and you shook your head "your nieces however, they're Brie, Chloe, and Andrea, they're cute" she teased, pointing to a picture of them altogether
"Don't you dare hurt them" you warned.
"I wouldn't dream of it" she laughed.
"What I am interested though, is the relationship between you and JJ" she pried.
"She's my girlfriend, you know she's my girlfriend"
"Lose the attitude" she rolled her eyes.
"Or what?" You said sarcastically.
"Babe you're locked in a room with me on the 7th floor, there's nothing that I can't do"
"You're sick" you scoffed, walking backwards trying to get away from Emily, she knew this walked towards you, pushing you backwards with her palm, she slammed you into the wall leaving you winded, you winced doubling down, grabbing on to the bottom of Emily's sleeve as you bent down.
She pulled you up and draped an arm over your collarbone to keep you in place, she leaned over you ripping a photo off the wall right next to your head which made you flinch "so cute" she smirked at your reaction.
"Answer me this pretty" she flipped the photo of the photo "have we ever met before? Easy enough question right?"
You nodded understanding her question "no we've never met before I moved in"
"Okay" she sucked her teeth and tutted "answer the question again, truthfully this time" she scorned "have we ever been in the same room together"
"Those are two completely different questions" that answer served you a heavy punch to the stomach "oh God" you cried out in pain.
"Look at it, Alex, look at the picture" she demanded, lifting up your chin to look at the pictures.
"It's a photo of JJ and Elle? So?" You asked still in pain.
"The background Alex, we are talking in the back" She noted.
"Why is that surprising to you? You worked in the BAU for 11 years, I've been dating JJ for 7 of course im going to show up the BAU once in a while"
"That wasn't the question pretty girl" she smirked
"What was the question again?" You said confused, your brain felt scrambled and you genuinely couldn't remember the question.
"Have we ever met before?" She asked.
"Yeah" you said confused, hoping that answer would satisfy her.
"Good girl" she grinned.
"Please I'm begging you, just let me go" you cried falling to the floor, your head cowering down and as you faced the floor.
"No there's still some unanswered questions I need from you" she tutted.
"Please" you sobbed.
"Answer me" she screamed.
You stood up quickly, crying "why did I leave the BAU?" she continued
"Am I supposed to know?" Your breath heavy.
"....yes" she said coldly.
"Because you outgrew it?" You questioned.
You shut your eyes and flinched preparing for another punch to your stomach.
"Hmm" she sounded satisfied with your answer.
That brief moment where she looked away for a second, you took your chance, you slid carefully over to the door, your back against the wall.
Stopping suddenly when she turned around, if she had noticed that you moved she didn't say anything, she just walked up to you.
"Question three, are you ready?"
You nodded "I know who you are, but tell me Alex, do you know who I am?"
"You're Emily Prentiss, you work for the BAU-"
"Already wrong" she shouted.
"You don't work for the BAU I'm sorry, I remember" you cowered down.
"Tell me what else you know about me"'
"There was some things that JJ said, she said that you were an early riser, but only on weekdays, you hated Wednesdays and you loved Sunday mornings but hated Sunday nights, you like Salted popcorn and-"
"Okay enough" she demanded holding her palm up.
When she turned around you took another opportunity to leave, you slid over and got to the door, you pushed the door back with every force you had completely expecting the door to be locked, but when Emily took out her phone and unlocked the door as she looked at you, the door opened and you fell backwards, your head smacked Emily's wooden panels and you winded yourself.
You sobbed, but flipped over and crawled to the apartment door, Emily watched as she leaned against her office door, smirking to herself at how you were going to handle this current situation.
"The door's locked" a voice came from behind you as you fumbled with the door handle, you banged on the door with your fists.
"Please, please, anybody" you cried.
When you realised nobody was going to come you slid back down, you watched in terror as Emily stalked over to you, you brought your knees up to your chest.
"You didn't answer my last question, but there is an easy way for you to answer it, all you have to do is stand up and sit down on that couch right there.
"Fine"'you sighed in defeat, you let her pick you up and sling you across the room, you landed on the carpet and you pulled yourself up on to the couch and sat down.
"What do I do now?" You asked cautiously, keeping your eyes on the TV in front of you, Emily leaned over the couch to whisper to you.
"Just watch, that's all you have to do" she clicked the remote and a taping come on the screen.
"She's 24, and she's 5'3, she has brown hair and green eyes, please I'm looking for her everywhere, her name is Alexandra Lawson, everyone who knows her calls her Alex, everyone at the BAU and her brother and her nieces are incredibly distressed by the fact that she's been missing for almost six days now-"
"Six days?" You said out loud to Emily was still leaning over the couch watching your every move.
"-please, Alex, honey, if you're out there, just come back" JJ ended the news report with a sigh.
The tape quickly changed from one outlet to the other it almost shocked you "The main suspect, here, has been stalking Alex Lawson, girlfriend of the FBI's Media Liaison Jennifer Jareau, every night since she moved here to Charlottesville, even attempting to get served by her in the Cafe that she works at-"
"I did have a stalker all this time" you thought out loud.
"-police have now identified this woman -as-are you serious?-'" The man reporting looked up at his boss and he nodded at the same time 'the current woman identified has been the old Unit Chief of the BAU, Emily Prentiss"
"So" Emily Prentiss smirked, you turned around to see her, she looked as smug as ever, your breath shuddered, with sadness or indignation you weren't sure "like the show?" She continued.
"It was you" you breathlessly chuckled "it was you this entire time"'you circled the couch and stalked towards Emily, pushing her back against the wall.
"Surprise" she exclaimed.
"How long?" You asked.
"How long what, baby?"'she cooed.
"Answer the question Emily, how long have you been stalking me for?" You jabbed her in the chest.
"Didn't you watch the... movie" she smirked, pointing backwards with her thumb sticking out feigning confusion.
"It didn't answer a single damn question I had, in fact it only gave me more"'your voice grew louder and louder until eventually you two were screaming at each other.
"Why me Emily, why me?" You sighed hitting her in the chest with your fists.
"Because you are the most fun" she smirked
You took a step back, taking in her words "what?" you whispered.
"Oh come on Alex, don't be stupid" she rolled her eyes "you're the most fun because I knew it would get me on the news... little bit of fame" she drawled
"Yeah well now you got your chance to be on the news so please, please let me go, I swear I won't tell anyone at all" you begged, clinging on to Emily.
"Okay, now you think I'm stupid"
"You're just putting words into my mouth now"
"I know where you live" she seethed.
"I..I'm aware" you stuttered.
There was another knock at the door which startled you both, you and Emily looked at each other before you sprinted to the door, you pounded on the door before Emily slung you away, you landed on your back and propped yourself up on your elbows, you heard JJ on the other side of the door.
"JJ" you screamed,
"Alex? Alex honey?" She peered through the door to see you.
Emily blocked you and you tried everything to push past her, JJ instead let herself in wedging something between the door so it didn't close.
"Jenn-" you started, she pushed you flying back and you landed by JJ's feet, your hands went around her legs to protect you both and for you to ground yourself, you patted around her legs in order to prove to yourself that she really was here and you weren't hallucinating.
"Shh, shhh" JJ cooed
"Jennif-" you tried to speak but no words were coming out of your mouth, as soon as you saw JJ you started sobbing, she helped you to stand up, you turned around in her arms, as you clawed your way up gripping on to every piece of material clothing, you stopped at your tallest, gripping on to her T-shirt so tight that you were convinced you were going to rip it but she didn't say anything, she held you in her arms, you looked up at her with a saddened expression, she held your face by cupping it ever so gently, she pressed a long kiss to your forehead and a few quick ones to your head.
"Oh this is the cutest thing I have ever seen" Emily spoke suddenly which startled you, you quickly turned around in JJ's arms, her arms still around your collarbone.
You saw Emily walking towards you and she stopped right in front of you "she's tough" she pursed her lips together in to a light smirk "real tough" she drawled, JJ and Emily were both visibly taller than you, so they easily had the conversation over your head.
"She is" JJ noted on your behalf
"I could treat her real better than you ever could Jennifer" Emily teased.
"Hmm" JJ smirked knowing that she never could.
None one of them were looking so you took your opportunity, you stamped on Emily's foot and kicked her thigh so she would go flying backwards, both JJ and Emily were as shocked as each other, you walked over to Emily who was now on the floor, you put a foot down on to her chest and softly pressed down, once you decided it was enough you knelt down and replaced your foot with your hand, you got real close to her ear and whispered "the BAU are on their way now, it's over Emily, you're going to jail for a long time, it's over"
"How could you possibly know that?" Emily barked with gritted teeth.
"Because Emily" JJ spoke up, I still have my phone on me, and when I go missing for over 40 minutes it sends out an emergency alert"
"You worked in the BAU for how long?" You placed a finger to your chin "oh yeah for 11 years, you of all people should know that" you sighed.
Right on cue, Luke and Tara walked in to Emily's apartment and arrested her, you and JJ watched as they dragged Emily out, until you knew she had left the building you and JJ walked back in to your apartment.
You hadn't seen what you looked like yet, there was a mirror as soon as you walked in to the apartment, JJ stood behind you and hugged you as you finally took in what you looked like and honestly it was a mess.
Your hair was disheveled, your face bloody and bruised, your whole body covered in black and blue bruises, your arm still in that cast, and your clothes practically deteriorated.
You took a deep breath in and just started sobbing, JJ turned you around and you just cried in to her arms and she just let you, you tried your best not to look at her face because every glance just looked like pure heart break and JJ didn't deserve that.
"How does a bath sound baby?" You nodded "sound good?" She double checked.
She sat you on the toilet seat whilst she ran the bath, stroking your thigh one hand and checking the water temperature with the other.
"Stay with me" you whispered and she nodded, she knelt down on the other side and leaned on the edge of the bath.
She was about to reach for your shower gel when you stopped her by lightly grabbing her wrist "yours" the words barely came out as a whisper but she heard, she smiled gently and nodded, now reaching over to grab hers.
She helped you out, and left to go and sit on the bed whilst you got changed, you opened the door to your en-suite and she was sitting on the bed reading a book with her legs flat and crossed at the bottom.
You leaned on the door frame until she looked up and noticed you "hi" she whispered gently setting down the book.
"Hi back" you smiled making your way towards her, crawling up on the bed, she held out her arm and you curled into her side as she draped her arm over yours.
"I love you" she kissed your head.
"Mhmm" you whispered back, you didn't say it back, you both knew that you loved her, if not more than she loved you "what book are you reading?"
"Twilight" she sighed, running her fingers through your damp hair.
"Read me some?" You looked up at her and smiled and she nodded.
She read to you until you fell asleep, she stayed with you, she didn't fall asleep until you did, but she quickly realised that she wasn't going to be able to sleep that night anyway, you curled further into her, your hands around her waist and your head into her chest, your knees on top of her thighs, she was always so impressed that you could sleep in any position.
She kept on reading, you stirred a few times until one thrash was big enough to wake you up and fully startle her.
You flung yourself up and grabbed the fitted sheet, balling it in your palm to ground yourself "hey hey" JJ softly cooed, her arm coming around you to ground you as well, she lowered yourself down on to her, so your head was currently on her chest, your legs were tucked up and your feet were flat against the bed, facing your door.
"I just... nightmare.." you tried to explain what you had just encountered but the words were not coming out right.
A few minutes later when you composed yourself you looked up at JJ, your head still on her chest "I just can't stop thinking what if she just escapes and walks in through those doors and actually... you know..." you cried as you hoped she would understand the words you were trying to get out.
"Okay honey, it's okay, you're okay, i need you to know that as long as I'm here, nobody, not even Emily-especially not Emily-is going to hurt you okay?"
"Okay" you smiled "keep holding me" you begged.
You felt her arms get tighter around yourself as you softly melted in to her embrace.
She kissed your head and read to you without hesitation, your eyes became heavy and you fell asleep in that position.
"I love you" you smiled before sleeping.
"I love you more, always" she smiled stroking your hair.
