Hello and the warmest of welcomes to all who have decided to tune into this frequency.

I’m Lt. Cyndel or Kyrina to those who are on a first name basis with me. I’m a full-blooded Betazoid and native to the planet of Cyndriel, or what The United Federation of Planets have more popularly coined as Betazed.

As a Junior Lieutenant in Starfleet I predominantly work in the science division as a stellar cartographer and general astronomer.

The study and mapping of celestial phenomena has always been a great love and passion of mine so it seems more like a dream that I’m able to work in this desired field of research everyday.

Being my particular species, working on a starship in close proximity to a large sum of people presents both its blessings and challenges. If you are to interact with me, all that I ask is to keep in mind that I’m a highly sensitive individual. Due to my out of control empathic and telepathic abilities, I can get overwhelmed quite quickly and naturally draw into myself, often retreating to the respite of my private quarters.

I’ve always been uncannily shy and introverted for a Betazoid, however that doesn’t inhibit me in striving to treat all forms and representations of life with the utmost respect, care and kindness.

I’ve also been known to pop in and out at different points in time and in various disclosed parallel timelines. From my accumulated findings I’ve served and/or am currently serving on :

[OOC] Lt. Kyrina Cyndel is my self-insert oc and a reflection of what I would most likely be if I were to exist in this spacefaring world. This blog that she/I run is solely dedicated to all things in the Star Trek Universe. I also occasionally reblog posts that are related to space/astronomy, aliens or have a celestial/sci-fi aesthetic. I’m a super awkward person in real life (much like Kyrina) but feel free to chat if you so desire :)

I was so eager to watch the new Starfleet Academy show, especially since one of the main/semi main characters was advertised as a betazoid. This alien race (which I may be a bit too obsessed with) was due for some much needed love and further expansion of lore and screentime. (At this stage I’m still crossing my fingers that we’ll actually get to see more of the planet than a few measly minutes in one or two episodes way back in TNG.)

Anyway… when episode 2 came round and we got to see Tarima and the Betazoid delegation as a whole, I was greatly disappointed.

Why oh why do supposedly full betazoids not have their signature black irises? The show runners had one job and instead they decided to forgo continuity and strip this empathic and telepathic species of the one external trait that instantly identified and differentiated them from everyone else. In a way, it feels like they’ve been robbed of their identity or even downgraded in status of uniqueness.

Spock Ita Bag Update !!

I tried to include all three Spocks + The Animated Series Spock!! (Also some Kirk too)

I have more keychains on the right side that aren’t showing but those include a voyage home shaker keychain, a Kirk and Spock keychain, and a photocard of Spock!:)

I made all of the button pins and got everything else from various places.
