i have issues (at San Diego, California)

so... i realize this is a weird thing to post on instagram, but this is what peace of mind looks like to me. in 2012, I came down with a cold that developed into pneumonia and triggered my asthma. while the pneumonia filled my lungs with fluid, the asthma constricted my airways, keeping oxygen from reaching my bloodstream. i didn’t have a rescue inhaler like this because my health insurance had denied it at the time i made the request because i wasn’t showing symptoms. last week, a goldman-sachs investor asked whether curing people was a sustainable business model. let me be the first to tell you it’s a lot more sustainable than letting people die. healthcare is a human right.
