Hello my friends, it’s been a while. This will be a long one I’m sorry. Life got away from me, but it stopped 2 weeks ago. Henry and Moby died. On one of our beach trips, which we have been on hundreds of times before, they found a coconut, which (again) they have done hundreds of times before. The coconut either had aflatoxins or blue green algae on it, and it sent both Hen and Moe into complete liver failure. Over the course of 6 days, and despite the help of multiple vet clinics and 24hr care, they both succumbed to the toxin and I lost them.
I know this page has been a ghost town for the last year, but if by chance any of our beautiful friends still follow us, I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for loving my boys along with me and sharing in their adventures. Henry was 9 years and 9 months old, and some of you have been here that entire time. Moby would be 5 years old tomorrow.
I have been delighted to share my family with you all, and am so incredibly grateful for the friendships, the love, and the help we’ve received. When Harold needed elbow surgery, when Miller needed costly diagnostics for her ears, when Lil Mags needed his dental procedure, so many generous people came through and helped. When I needed a shoulder to cry on after the loss of my beloved Boody, and then my best little blue dog Mil, I was offered hundreds. I was never alone in my grief.
Moby and Henry never stopped adventuring. They never stopped being the centre of my universe, and they never knew a day of boredom. Harold, Budgie, Sprig and Edith are all still well and healthy, but I’m sure they miss their brothers. I will miss them forever.
Because this account started for my darling Henry, it seems fitting to officially close it now that he’s gone. Thank you all again for being here during the greatest adventure of my life. ❤️
