Can you imagine a world where Freida was adopted and raised as a noble by Henrik (said adoption and life as a noble being funded by her grandfather probably) rather than in a contract with him? Even if just for the hilariously destructive dynamic that would have been “Uncle Damuel” and his bold-as-brass, profit-savvy niece (who, at least as of P1, had more mana than him). Commoner background working against her or not, she’s definitely got the scheming required for success.

Tilda->19 years, female. daughter of Freida, adoptive sister/best friend to Bain. a free-spirit, and resident of a village that has recently come under attack by Orcs in The Southlands. for as long as she can remember, she has yearned to find her father, even if that means learning he is not the man she's dreamed of since she was young. it is a discovery that her mother has been trying to prevent, knowing that her daughter may not react well to the truth.

Bain->22 years, male. orphaned at 12 years, adopted son of Freida, and brother/best friend to Tilda. a fighter through and through, he will stop at nothing to avenge his village, its people, and their home. a man who makes a living acting first, and asking questions later, he offers his allegiance to no one save for the two who took him in after his parents' death.

Freida->40 years, female. mother to Tilda, adoptive mother to Bain. a healer, and close friend to Bronwyn and Arondir, she looks after the injured refugees from her destroyed village as best she can. a task that is rendered more difficult than she planned with the disappearance of her daughter, and the reckless desire for vengeance she finds in Bain.
