there is now an Autobot version! I really tried my best to make the categories coherent but phew, there sure are a lot of characters doing a lot of things... let me know if I missed anyone/anything / there are any mistakes :)

#i started out going oh i'll just organize by which literal crew they were on #and slowly it dawned on me that half the cast has been Everywhere. but it was too late #so the purpose is more to just name them from your head rather than description shrug

ok wait I knoww I almost put him in, & I know he's a constructicon but he aligns with them postwar and never wears faction insignia... his wiki tags him as a decepticon, but I'm pretty sure that's from the marvel continuity? if you can find anything that says he is an actual decepticon, in name, I will absolutely stick him on there

#the criteria i tried to use was like. their name would be on an internal roster and they have or had a badge #swift is borderline because she joined them after the war but she DID wear a badge. who knows who did her affiliation ceremony though #also generally let me know if I missed anyone because several of them weren't on the wiki's list #notably star/scream? and people like grіmlock and flіp sides

on one hand I'm surprised that slipstream, blackarachnia, nor cyclonus made it on, but I AM delighted to see goryu and my other victory boys on there... altogether fun and very funny

i find it interesting that fanon jazz is often portrayed as a high-energy jokester when i’m not exactly sure where that came from? in g1 he’s quite warm, but also mellow, and the first time we see him iirc he’s speaking quite seriously as a commanding officer. notable that people are willing to incorporate the special operations thing from IDW1* but not also his incredibly stoic, somewhat jaded personality

*i could be wrong about his spec ops role originating here it’s just the most notable one i thought of

#he can be friendly in id/w but he’s not really.. personal? he takes everything very seriously #maybe its a tendancy to amplify the traits of quiet characters so as to more easily tell them apart in fanon #im not sure why it irks me about jazz in particular #i guess he’s not often prominent in canon but he’s popular in fanon? so hes been echo-chambered into a chaos gremlin archetype of sorts #im also just a big fan of his id/w character & wish he was explored more

Do you use a stabilizer when drawing? Orr are you just THAT peak

i do for most brushes!! no shame in that. also for the fact that my tablet gets weird about lines when i zoom out… although, its a matter of personal preference that the stabilizer isnt too strong because you get a lot more control for the same smooth lines if you just try drawing them real fast instead

#asks #i see people asking sometimes whether they should be using stabilizers or not in order to improve #my answer would be geniunely whatever feels comfortable and natural #if you feel like youre fighting the stabilizer then its too strong and if you feel like everything is uncontrollably wobbly then its 2 weak #although smooth lines IS a skill you can build! the trick is to use your entire arm #and not just your wrist #and be fast and confident #undoing a lot is ok and youll need to do so less and less as you get used to it #not necessarily adressed to you anon haha just advice maybe some1 would find helpful #also you get even more control over line thickness if you both use pressure and just go over the lines u want to be thicker #multiple times #and (still assuming this is digital) use your eraser!! the eraser is a lineart tool too #sorry for the tag wall im bored as hell and my flight is delayed
