Blue sat around the food court of the mall with her siblings, eating her pizza slice hungrily. She had taken them out today because she wanted to talk to them. She was often very closed off and acted like she didnât want to be bothered, but she truly did love her sisters and brother and she would do anything for them. She sat her pizza slice down and looked around the table slowly. âSo⌠momâs pregnantâŚâ she began.
Siena sat among her siblings and she adjusted the strap to her overalls as she popped a chicken nugget into her mouth. She licked her ketchup stained fingertips and nodded her head âyeahâ she said not knowing where her older sister was going with her statement.
Luca looked to Blue and he bit it slice of pizza hungrily, munching on it he licked his lips cleaning off the tomato sauce that sported it before he bit into the slice again.
Phoenix dug into her pasta, looking at Blue slowly as she licked her lips. She forked another noodle into her mouth before she said, âwhat about it?â
Blue wiped her mouth, looking between everyone as they looked at her. â... so that means we really have to step it up around the house,â she said thoughtfully. âIâve already decided that I am not going to go away for school,â she said to them. âIâm going to take a year off, then go to a community college here in Seattle so Iâm close,â she admitted. âBooty youâre next in line, itâs up to us to pick up the slack for mom and dad, weâve got cars,â she said thoughtfully. âSo, we need to start picking up Phoenix and Luca for them, maybe going to the store and picking up groceries,â she said thinking it over. âJust⌠you know⌠doing what we can to help,â she said looking at Phoenix and Luca.
Siena looked to Blue as she spoke, explaining why she was bringing this up to them. She nodded her head slowly before she looked at Phoenix, she really meant the three of them. This she knew because Luca wasnât capable of doing much of anything, their mother had babied him so until it was bound to stay a baby forever. Licking her lips, she looked back to her older sister and said âokayâ to her âyouâre rightâ the blonde admitted thoughtfully. âWe doâŚâ
Luca continued to eat his food; he didnât have to reply because he knew factually that his sister wasnât talking to him. Everyone did everything for him, why change that now?
Phoenix ate more of her pasta and she nodded taking it all in. âI can start cleaning up more often,â she admitted. âOn Mondayâs Iâll clean the living room and the kitchen and on Fridayâs Iâll vacuum the house, upstairs and downstairs,â she said thoughtfully. âAnd Iâll make it my job to clean the basement once a month, especially after weâve been down there playing and stuffâŚâ
Blue looked at Siena and nodded before she looked at Phoenix with a smile. âThank you Nix,â she said before she looked at Luca, gently bumping her shoulder against his. âLuca you can start cleaning your own room and doing a better job and not leaving your toys all over the house. Also, you donât have to wash anything but just rinse off your dishes and set them aside and one of us will place it in the dishwasher for you,â she said thoughtfully.
Siena looked to Phoenix as she explained what she was going to do to help out. She bit another chicken nugget before she looked at her younger brother, the real spoiled child. She shook her head at him amused as she finished the nugget.
Luca looked to his older sister and scrunched his brows âmom always cleans my roomâ he told her. He bit into his pizza again âI donât like cleaning thoughâ he told all three of them.
Phoenix looked at Blue as she now addressed their brother and she snorted. Luca didnât do anything but mess up the house and watch everyone clean behind him. Eating more of her pasta she shook her head. It was going to be a nightmare trying to get Luca to simply pick up his own slack, let alone someone else's.
Blue shook her head at Luca. âYouâll be 12 this year,â she said to him. âMom isnât going to clean up behind you forever and once the twins come, I assure you she will stop,â she said knowingly. âMom cleaned up after me all the time too then Siena came. Mom cleaned up after Siena then Phoenix cameâŚâ she trailed off. âYou get what Iâm saying. Plus, you want to be a little man right, little men clean up after themselves,â she said to him, rubbing his shoulder.  âYouâre going to need to set a good example for the new babies. Plus...â she trailed off looking around the table at her sisters as she leaned in real close. âI heard that Sunshine likes boys who clean,â she said in a loud whisper.
Luca looked at Blue as he finished his pizza eating everything including his crust and he looked at his other siblings as they watched on. He licked his fingers slowly before he grabbed his napkin and wiped his mouth and hands. At the mention of Sunshine liking clean boys he looked at Blue âreally?â he asked before he looked at all of them.
Blue nodded her head. âReally,â she said looking around at Phoenix and Siena. âI heard it straight from her,â she said, lying to the boy. âWhy do you think she hasnât been around recently?â she asked him softly.
Phoenix nodded along to Blue, seeing how her brother perked up and she knew that she had to play along feeding into the lie.
Siena looked to Luca âno dirty boysâ she chimed, she felt bad whenever they lied to him. But that was the only way to get Luca to actually fall for anything.
Luca looked to his sisters and he nodded his head pulling his lips into his mouth. âOkayâ he said as he grabbed his cup taking a sip from it. âI will cleanâ he told her agreeingly as he moved to his next slice of pizza.
Blue smiled at her sisters as they co-signed her lie and she nodded her head, pressing a kiss to his temple. âNext time I have to car pull and pick her up, Iâll let it slip that youâre now a cleaning man, Iâm sure sheâll be excited,â she said honestly.
Luca looked to his sister again and he nodded his head at her âokayâ he said happily. âI want her excitedâ he told her as he bit down on the pepperoni pizza once more.

Ava gently knocked on Sienaâs bedroom door, giving the girl a few seconds, before she gently turned the knob, opening the door and poking her head inside. âSiena, sweetheart,â Ava began as she stepped into the room and closed the door behind her, locking it. âI need to discuss something with you,â she said gently, her heart already breaking. This isnât a conversation a mother would ever want to have with her daughter. Her baby girl. However, it had to be done. Moving further into the room, Ava sat down on the edge of Sienaâs large bed and she patted the spot beside her. âCome sit by me,â she offered gently. This was going to be hard.
Siena sat in her room on the bed and she played with her IPad, scribbling with her Apple Pen as she took notes. She had so much work to catch up on from school considering sheâd done nothing since the incident with Jessie. Hearing her mother, she looked up as she walked into the room and sat on the bed âheyâ she replied to her quietly. She pulled her hood off her head brushing her hands through her low-cut hair. As she instructed to come sit by her, Siena nodded at Ava and moved next to her mother sitting her IPad aside. âWhatâs wrong?â she asked her.
Ava watched as Siena gathered herself and moved to sit beside her as she asked, and she let out a breath. God, she didnât want to have to do this. Her eyes watered slightly as she turned to face her daughter a bit more, one of her legs hiking up on the bed as she took Sienaâs hands into her own. âSweetheart, I need you to tell me start to finish everything that you remember about that night. From the time that you left this house until the endâŚâ she said quietly, hating to have to make Siena relive this thing that Ava knew, Siena wanted so badly to forget.
As her mother looked at her, she took in her appearance and she dropped her head. As she spoke she closed her eyes for a moment before she opened them back up. âI went to Jessieâs house for dinner with his parentsâ she began. She knew what this was about sheâd heard her parents had been to the school several times. âHe picked me up and I told you guys where I was going,â she reminded me. âWe ate dinner like we had several times beforeâ she said picking at the sheets beneath them. âWe had some fancy chicken dishes and glasses of wine. His parents always served wine and encouraged us to drink with themâ she sighed. âI started feeling tired, I donât know how to explain itâ she said her chest tightening. âI told Jessie '' she said as a tear fell against her hand, she continued to fidget with the sheets. Siena sniffled gently before she said âhe told me that I should lay down a little and I told him okayâ she said. âHe helped me upstairs to his bedroom and his parents stayed downstairsâŚâ she replied.
Ava rested there, holding Sienaâs hand in her own as she began to retell the story. Listening quietly, Ava nodded along slowly as Siena broke it down, giving her details. In all this time, she had never known that the Holmes had been offering her underaged daughter alcohol, even if it was just wine. As a mother, she would never offer someone else's child alcohol without first consulting their parents. She just didnât understand what type of household they ran; clearly a dysfunctional one. As Siena began to sniffle, Ava pulled the girl close, almost into her lap as she wrapped her daughter up in her arms. âWhat else do you remember?â she asked softly, rubbing Sienaâs back and side tenderly as she held back her own tears.
Siena clung to her mother, wrapping her arms around her thick frame and laying her head on the woman. âI donât mommaâ she said releasing a shaky breath. âI just remember him kissing all over me and me asking him what he was doingâ she told her. âThe lights were off and he asked me could we have sexâ she told her. âI donât even remember what I told him, but I had to tell him yes mommaâ she said. She wouldnât admit it she couldnât it hurt too much to think of the boy having taken what he had no permission of. âHe started taking my clothes off, I wanted to text Blue but I didnât know where my phone wasâ she confessed. âHe got on top me and I just laid thereâ she shrugged. âI didnât know what to do and what he was doing hurt. But I didnât say anythingâ she shook her head at herself. âI asked him to stop or be gentle but he put his hand over my mouthâ she said for the first time.
Holding Siena tightly in her arms, Ava let out a shaky breath along with her. Closing her eyes, Ava listened to Siena as she struggled to explain what happened next and how she and Jessie ended up having sex that night. As Siena told her that he had placed his hand over her mouth, she thought about the video that she had seen and she nodded slowly. Opening her eyes, she blinked slowly, a tear rolling down her cheek as she held Siena close. She rocked them from side to side and stayed quiet for a while as she gathered herself and her thoughts. She was positive that as a parent, this would be the hardest thing that she would ever have to do. âI have something that you need to see,â she whispered gently as she shifted slightly, reaching into the pocket of her sweatpants to pull out her phone. With a tap of her finger, she unlocked the device that was already pulled up to the video. She had managed to pull the video from phone records, after she explained the situation to their lawyers and the phone company obliged. She had already watched the heart wrenching video, alongside her husband, and now she had to show her daughter, what really happened that night. She handed her daughter the phone and kissed her temple gently. âYou can press play whenever youâre ready,â she said, sniffling hard. As soon as Siena pressed play, she was going to see her own naked body from Jessieâs point-of-view as he laughed and taunted her roofied-aided mind. She would see him, playing with her body and even slapping her around a little before he finally set his phone up at the perfect angle to capture everything as he defiled her body as she tried to get him to stop and ask for help as he covered her mouth and even choked her a little as he took his time and took advantage of her.
As her mother finally opened her mouth to speak, Siena wiped a few tears and nodded at the woman. What could she have to show her, she felt she had already seen and heard the worst that she could. As she pulled out her phone and handed it to her Siena grabbed it, head still leaning against her mother. âWhatâs this?â she asked her, she could see the bases of what the video was before she even pressed it and it made her mind run and her heart pump. She pressed play her motherâs words falling on deaf ears as she watched the video closely, it was her and Jessie. That was her naked body that the boy had taken advantage of in the worst way, she didnât remember all of this. She didnât remember a phone or him recording her or even him holding her down as she tried to get up and move away. Sheâd blacked out what she could remember and her mind stored the rest some place else in her drugged up state. Her mouth parted but words didnât leave them as she let out a loud cry, a flood of tears drowning her as she gripped the phone in her hand. She turned her head burying it in her motherâs face as her body shook in her arms.
As Siena pressed play on the video, Ava dropped her head, closing her eyes as she rested her forehead against Sienaâs temple, not wanting to see it again, but the sounds were enough. As Siena let out a ear piercing cry, Ava held the girl even tighter. Sienaâs thin frame shook in her arms, she cradled her daughter close. She stayed quiet, just letting Siena process what she had just seen as she too cried. Tears spilled from behind her closed eyelids as she gripped into Siena for dear life and she held Siena together, squeezing her so tightly to keep the girl from breaking all together. She had to grab each piece of her daughter as she broke in her arms and place it right back gently. âIâm so sorry,â Ava finally spoke out, her voice crackling. âI am so sorry Siena,â she whispered into her ear, hugging her close. âI am so sorry I wasnât here to protect you,â she whispered out. âBaby girlâŚâ Ava said gently as she carefully pulled away from Siena and placed her hand on her shoulders to steady her. With her other hand, she gently lifted Sienaâs chin and gazed into her wet eyes. âYou are not what happened to you,â she said as her own heart shattered in her chest.
Siena couldnât help but to cry harder and harder with each passing moment, heâd stolen her essence and he spread to the world as if she asked him to do it. She loved this boy, sheâd known him since middle school. He was perfect in every way to her and dating him was a dream come true. He started off as her best friend, why would he do this to her? What did she do to him to deserve this? While this was happening, why didnât his parents stop it? As her mother spoke, she continued to sob. Her mother pulled away from her, her body continued to shake slowly as she cried from deep within. âThis hurtsâ she cried out as she dropped her head âhe ripped my heart out of my chestâ she said, barely audible âI want to just dieâ she said.
Ava just about lost it as Siena said that she wanted to die. She let out a sob of her own and pulled Siena close once more. âOh baby girl,â she said sadly. âGod, you donât mean that,â she cried gently, hugging Siena so tightly, that she was sure she would break the girl in half of she squeezed any harder. âWeâre going to make him pay for this,â she whispered softly. âFor what he has done to you and countless other girls,â she said gently, still hugging Siena close. âWeâre pressing charges,â she whispered, âheâs going to pay for what heâs done to you,â she informed Siena as she slowly pulled back once more. âSweetheart,â Ava said with tears, streaming down her cheeks. âI know itâs going to be hard but I need you to testify against him in court, if we have any chance of putting him away,â she said honestly. They already had an uphill battle ahead of them. He was going to be a young white boy on trail for rape of a young black girl, the odds were not in their favor at all but she prayed that with the video, the dna samples, the kit that they did, and with Siena on the stand, they were able to bring justice.
Siena laid against her mother as she pulled her back in for the tightest hug sheâd ever had. No matter what her mother said, that is how she felt deep inside, he left her to feel like a cheap piece of shit. Heâd taken all the best pieces of her when he had done what he did. And even now her mother still couldnât tell her why her, out of all people. As she went on to explain how they were going to press charges and how sheâd have to then open her mouth to tell a crowd of people something she didnât even want to tell her own mother numbed her. She laid her eyes fixed on a wall, oddly enough it was a spot where his picture used to hang. âOkayâ she said brokenly.
Gazing at Sienaâs broken face, Ava sniffled and said, âyou donât have to if you donât want to,â she said quietly as she gazed at her daughter sadly. She pulled her in once more, rocking Siena from side to side as she said, âhe doesnât own you.â She pressed a kiss to her forehead and whispered, âyou can take the power back.â Rubbing her hand over Sienaâs low cut hair, she said, âyou are not a victim,â softly. âyou are a survivor.â
Siena closed her eyes as her mother spoke, she wanted to believe all of that but in her mind she didnât. She allowed more warm tears to fall from her eyes and stain her motherâs shirt as she wrapped her arms around her, gripping on to her from behind. âIâm so tiredâ she breathed to her, she wasnât talking about physical tiredness. Her mind was tired and at this point so was her soul, she didnât know if she could testify, she didnât know what she could do. Her world had darkened, everything around her was dark and cold. She had been looking for some light and some refuge but nothing sufficed. She had been forsaken by her heart, the man she loved, and God. She saw no light at the end of her narrowing tunnel.
At Sienaâs words, Ava nodded slowly and she gave Siena a squeeze before she pulled back slowly. âI know baby,â she said quietly, rubbing Sienaâs back gently as she sniffled. She wished that she could really tell her child that things would get better, but she couldnât. She didnât know. Siena had to journey through this new revelation and all Ava could do as a mother was be there for her and try to hold all of her broken pieces together. She rubbed her hand over Sienaâs low hair once more before she whispered. âLay down and try to take a nap,â she wanted the girl to really just rest her mind. âIâll come and check on you a little later,â she said, knowing that her daughter needed space and time. She pressed a kiss to her forehead once more before she hugged her close once more. She really didnât want to leave Siena alone right now but she knew that she needed to give the girl time to just be alone. Slowly she stood from the bed and said, âIâll tell everyone not to bother you,â she whispered as she moved for the door. Honestly, needing to get away herself before she collapsed in front of her daughter.
Sienaâs eyes met her motherâs for the first time since her initial entrance into the room. And she blinked slowly at her, her head kind of nodding on its own. âOkayâ she said to her as she hugged her mother back as the woman prepared to leave her in the room alone. As Siena laid down against the bed she pulled her hoodie over her head again and buried herself under her sheets covering her entire body up and hiding it from the world.
Ava looked back at Siena as she pulled her hood back on and buried herself under the sheets and she slowly cut out the light before unlocking the door and stepping out into the hallway. As she did, she ran into Blue, Phoenix, and Luca as she shook her head, wiping under her eyes a little. She looked Blue in her eyes and said to them all, âdonât bother her for the rest of the evening,â she told them as she broke her gaze with Blue and looked at Phoenix and Luca. âI mean it,â she said softly. âI wonât want to see any of you even close to this door,â she said in a soft but stern tone as she tucked her phone away in her pocket before she shooed them all off, her eyes lingering with Blueâs for a moment before the kids dispersed. She stood there for a moment, to make sure no one tried to sneak back to bother Siena before she moved into her own bedroom. She entered, closing and locking the door behind her. She looked at her husband and drug her feet as she walked over to him. As soon as she was close enough, she dropped collapsing into his arms as she sobbed.
Samuel sat on the edge of his bed, his phone in hand as he typed out his message to his counterpart. What he was preparing to do was tricky and risky to say the very least but honestly he needed to do what needed to be done. He had no more time to waste and he licked his lips at that thought. As he saw their bedroom open he sat his phone aside taking his wife in, he was so glad he didnât have to endure what sheâd just endured but he also hated he allowed her to do it alone. As she moved towards him, collapsing into his arms, crying a fresh batch of tears he pressed his lips to her forehead. âI am sorryâ he breathed to her quietly, he gripped onto her thick frame, pulling her closer to his chest if possible. His large hand pressed into her back as he rubbed up and down it âitâs okayâ he told her âitâs going to be okayâ he added his hand moving to her full head of hair as he continued to hold her.
âShe wants to die,â Ava cried out sadly as she hugged her husband, burying her face in his strong chest as she held him as tight as she could. âThe sound that left her body when she watched the video and realized what had happened,â she sobbed out, her body shaking from the power of her tears. She was a trembling mess in her husband's arms. âIâŚâ she stammered slightly, her chin quivering. âWe should have been here,â she cried out. âShe had to sit and endure it all alone and wait for us to get from a stupid vacation,â she sobbed out. âThat boy drugged her and raped her and she has had to sit unknowingly thinking that she somehow agreed to his torment for weeks,â she sobbed. âI⌠as a mother I justâŚâ she let out a harsh breath into his chest, shaking even harder. âBabyâŚâ she cried out. âOur little girlâŚâ she sobbed. âSheâs going to carry this pain for the rest of her lifeâŚâ she said shattering in her husband's arms, feeling like a horrible mother because she wasnât there to protect one of her cubs.
At her words Samuel looked down at Mercedes, had Siena said that out of her own mouth? Samuelâs heart dropped to his feet, what the hell was going on with his family. One thing after the next it was like a force was conspiring against them all. Samuel continued to rub his hand up and down her back tenderly âI know babyâ he said dreadfully, heâd told himself since he found out that he should not have made such a big deal about their vacation. This happened to be all his fault, he knew that, heâd known it for a while. It was eating him upside, every night in fact, as he tried to sleep and played the video over and over in his head. âItâs not your fault, and itâs not hers either Avaâ he said. âI wish we were here too, God knows. But donât beat yourself up over this. We will fix itâ he tried to reason. âSiena is going to be fine, I knowâ he told her, he had been telling himself that, ever since he watched the girl walk up to their dinner table with a bald head. He had to, he had to convince someone. The thought of her never returning to her bubbly and infectious self was too hard of a pill to swallow. âItâs okayâ he told her again sweetly, rocked her gently closing his eyes now. He wouldnât cry, not in front of his wife, that didnât mean he hadnât or he wouldnât. Heâd sat in his office crying for the last few days, he was the man of the house. Leader of the pack and they couldnât see all of his cracks but right now, the weight of his wifeâs tired body and she soaked his shirt was breaking his heart in half.
âI feel like we failed her,â Ava cried out harshly, her fingers gripping the fabric of his shirt tightly. She slowly lifted her head, gazing at her husband, her cheeks were puffy, her eyes were blood-shot red from tears, and her nose was a little red too from crying. âHow do we piece her back together?â she asked him sadly, sniffling hard as tears streamed down her face. âHow do we get our little girl back?â she cried.
At his wifeâs words the thread that was holding Samuel heart together snapped, those were very hard words to hear considering she might have been very true in her statement. At her next questions, he shook his head before he said âI wish I had all the answer baby, but I donât knowâ he told her honestly. âWe just have to be there for her in all of this, we have to continue to protect her and poor all the love that we have to give into herâ he said sensibly. âI am sorry that I let you do that alone, I should have been there, as your backboneâ he told the brown skinned woman. âI am sorry that I let you both down, when I should have been the one to do so much moreâŚâ he told her brokenly.
Ava looked at her husband, her eyes big, wet, and red as he explained to her that he wished he had answers but didnât. She cried softly and when he broke, she hugged him tightly. âSam,â she breathed, dropping her head to his shoulder as she held him now. âNo, donât,â she told him softly, rubbing her hands through his hair. âAs a father you⌠you didnât need to be in there just now,â she said softly. âYou made the right decision,â she told him. âYou gave me the strength that I needed to do it alone,â she told him. âThat was all I needed,â she whispered. âShe was hurt by a man,â she said gently. âShe wouldnât have wanted to say what she did around you,â she cried softly.
Samuel held his wife by her waist gently, he closed his eyes as she spoke, and he nodded. âI just wish I could make this all go away for everyone Ava and I canâtâ he said his eyes watering. âYou donât need all of this stress on you right nowâ he said âand sheâs just a kid, she should be out making memories and be in school preparing for her future⌠but now we canât even get her out of that roomâ he sighed. âIâm just sorry baby, I canât say it enough. I am so sorryâ he told her.
Ava squeezed her husband tightly, sniffling hard, trying to suck up her tears to no avail. âIâm fine,â she whispered to him, despite the fact that she had a heachache and was feeling a bit dizzy. She put it off on all her crying, but it was her blood pressure being through the roof. âWeâre going to make this better for her,â Ava told him with a small cry as she pulled away slightly, wiping her own tears before she wiped his cheeks as well. âWeâre going to pull her through this and kind her justice,â she cried softly, blinking slightly as she slurred her words a bit. âSheâs going to be okay, weâre going to be okay, weâre going to make this right,â she said as she laid her head back on his chest, letting out a harsh breath as her eyes closed.
I had a wonderful day today! The party was awesome. My friends loved it. Thanks for letting Jazlyn sleep over tonight! I promise weâre going to go to bed at a reasonable hour for school tomorrow. I canât believe Iâm half of 30. This is wild.Â

Blue had enough. She was so sick of hearing people whisper and talk about her sister. At first, she had no idea what was going on but as the rumors spread more and more, she learned very quickly that Jessie had played her little sister and she was pissed. Livid actually and that was about a week ago. She had spent a week sitting on her hands because it was her senior year and she had a lot riding on graduating and moving away with Ariel for college. She couldnât mess this up, however, upon talking to her mother, she knew that she had to. Her mother had given her permission to go in and she was ready, suspension or not, she was hyped up as she stood in the hallway near her locker, her long wavy hair already pulled back into a ponytail as she looked up and down the hallway, waiting to see Jessie. He was known to frequent that hallway, she assumed that he had a class or two on it, so she was just waiting.
Jessie rounded the corner smoothly, her hadnât a care in the World as he stuck his hands into the pocket of his uniform cardigan. He moved down the hallway towards his next class, goofing off with a couple of his pals as he combed his hands through his dark hair.
Blue watched as Jessie turned the corner and she cracked her knuckles as she pushed people out of her way, stalking towards him. âJessie!â she called out as she stood in the middle of the hallway. âI gotta talk to you,â she said loudly, her tongue rolling over her lips.
Jessie shook his head at his friend before he heard his name booming through the hallway, he looked up and saw Sienaâs oldest sister, Blue. He stopped in his tracks and looked to his friends as they all continued to scatter leaving him their alone. He continued to walk no less still heading for his class, he knew what this was about, and he wasnât going to engage.
Blue looked Jessie dead in his eyes as his friends scattered. âIâm talking to you,â she said with a grunt. âYou had a whole lot to say before, why you so quiet now?â she asked him as he called himself walking past her and she turned, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and slamming him into the lockers, her arm pressed up against his throat. âBoy Iâll⌠owh!â she huffed out. She was beyond pissed as her face turned red.
Jessie heard Blue but he chose to ignore the aggressive girl as she taunted him in front of other kids. As she grabbed him and slammed him against the locker, he flinches a bit. âI donât know what you are talking about girlâ he said easily.
Blue immediately drew back and punched Jessie in the mouth at his lie. âShut your lying mouth!â she grunted out. âYou know exactly what you did you bastard,â she sneered as she hit him again, this time in the eye. âYouâre going to man up and apologize to my sister,â she huffed out as she slammed her hand down against the lockers beside his head.
Jessie hissed as the older girl punched him in the mouth, licking his lips he felt and tasted some blood pooling there and he looked to her wildly before she landed another one. Jessie covered his eyes crying out âare you nuts?â he asked her seriously. âIâm not apologizing for shitâ the boy said easily to her.
âOh yes you are!â Blue said as she grabbed by his collar, lifting him up and letting him dangle. âYouâre going to fucking tell her that youâre sorry and that youâre an ass!â she yelled out before she dropped him to the floor and leaned over him, punching him in his mouth once more. âMy sister is good and decent, and you fucking ruined her you pig,â she grunted out.
Jessie looked to the girl with somewhat wide eyes as she lifted him from his feet. Falling to the floor Jessie attempted to get away from Blue with no luck, his parents always told him not to hit a girl. But each punch she landed only made he more and more upset as he swung his balled fist at her âleave me the fuck alone Blue!â he commanded. Jessie tried to use his feet to kick the tall girl as she stood over him.
Blue snarled at the boy. âTell her your sorry!â Blue commanded back of him, grabbing his foot as he tried to kick her. âYouâre a bitch!â she grunted. âA pussy ass boy!â she huffed out as she kicked him in his side, creasing her crisp white sneakers in the process. âA predator!â she huffed out kicking him again. âYou motherfucker!â she grunted, prepared to kick him in the face when a faculty member snatched her back.
Jessie wasnât much of a fighter to begin with, so he didnât know why he tried. As the girl kicked him, he grunted with each blow, this crazy chick was going to kill him. As she forced to stop, he laid there, his hands up defensively before he dropped them, laying there in agony.
âWhat is going on here!â Mr. Thompson, the eleventh-grade math teacher said sternly. âBlue!â he said as he held her while she kicked and fought against him. âWhat is the meaning of this?!â he asked holding the girl tight so that she couldnât get away.
âHeâs a pig!â Blue huffed out before she looked to Mr. Thompson. âHe hurt my sister!â she said angrily. âThen he started spreading lies and rumors, I couldnât take it anymore!â she grunted, sneering towards Jessie.
Jessie shifted, trying to pull himself up off the ground and her cradled his side as he did so. âSheâs crazy!â he said pointing to Blue, his lip still bleeding from when she punched him in his mouth.
Mr. Thompson looked between the two kids and he huffed out. âBoth of you, to the office!â he said shaking his head. He hated high schoolers. âBlue you go that way,â he said pointing in the other direction, âand Iâm going to call Nancy to make sure both of you find your way there,â he said with a small growl as he ushered Blue off in the direction away from Jessie.

Blue approached Sienaâs bedroom slowly as she iced her fist from the fight that had taken place earlier that day. Blue had known for a while what had happened but because Siena never came to her, she never said anything, but she guessed now the cat was out of the bag after sheâd literally squared up with Jessie. Sighing, she knocked on the door, wincing slightly as she did. âHey booty, can I come in?â
Siena laid in her bed, pushed all the way back against the wall as she laid there with a hood over her head and her body buried under mounds of cover. As her sister knocked on her door, using her pet name she sighed heavily âsureâ she called to her in the dark gloomy room.
As Siena gave her the go-ahead, Blue slowly opened the door and crept into the dark room. As the door closed behind her, she flicked on the light, squinting for a few seconds before her eyes adjusted and she walked over, sitting on the edge of the bed as she turned to her sister. âIâm sorry,â she began.
Siena watched her sister walk in and she partially covered her face as she turned the light on. She didnât know when the last time she had done that was, she barely ate, did no homework, and only made it her business to shower and brush her teeth these days. âFor?â she said in a low voice as she peered at her from under her hood.
âEmbarrassing you even more today,â Blue said as she climbed further onto the bed, kicking her slides off her feet as she did. âThat wasnât my intentions, but I couldnât let him walk about like fucking King Tut any longer,â she admitted.
At her sistersâ words Siena closed her eyes for a bit before she opened them saying ânothing is more embarrassing than him using me for my body BlueâŚâ she breathed out.
Blue frowned and slid closer to her sister, wrapping Siena up in her arms. She stroked Sienaâs hair gently and said, âIâm sorry booty.â She hugged Siena close to her. âI wish I could have protected you from that, from himâŚâ she said softly.
As her sister leaned in close to her, hugging her slightly she let a tear roll down her cheek slowly. She sniffled before she said âitâs not your faultâ quietly. âI should not have been so stupidâ Siena said.
âYou werenât stupid,â Blue said quietly. âYou were in loveâŚâ she whispered, rubbing her sisterâs shoulder lovingly. âWeâve all been there,â she said quietly, trying to reassure her sister.
Siena blinked a few times before she sighed âlove is stupidâ she said bitterly. âNo one will ever want me nowâŚâ
âOh Booty,â Blue sighed out. âThatâs so not true,â she said as she gently pulled the covers down to uncover her sisters face. âYouâve got people on your side Booty,â she said gently. âAnd youâll love again,â she said, hugging her tightly. âYour heart is so big,â she said softly, âplease donât let this idiot harden your heart.â
Siena rubbed her wet eyes again, some days she really felt her sister hated being a part of their family, hated having to associate with them. But moments like this reminded her of all the good that comes from having an older sister. Her words made her cry harder and she sniffled hard as she hugged her sister back.
Blue hugged Siena back as she cried, and she rubbed soothing circles into her back. âYouâre so special,â she told her little sister. âSo, so special and your light shines so bright, please, please, please donât even dim it for anyone,â she said into her Sienaâs shoulder as she held her.
Siena sniffled again at her sisterâs words, and she nodded her head at her. âOkayâ she said in a shaky voice, not sure if she fully believed her much like she hadnât with her mother but again just a little better she felt.
Blue pulled back slowly and she held Siena by her shoulders. âYou gotta be you again sis,â she said gently. âHe might have taken a piece of you, but it was only a fraction,â she said gently. âYouâre still in there somewhere and I need you to dig deep and find that girl,â she said before she laughed softly. âI need my snot nosed, rapping, goofy ass sister back,â she said lovingly. âThereâs only room in this house for one grungy ass piece of trash,â she said with a smile, ragging on herself, âand Iâm not giving up my spot because then Iâll have to wear dresses and comb my hair,â she said playfully.
At Blueâs words Siena smiled a bit at that, her sister was right about this somewhat. She was sure her parents and everyone else hated seeing her like this, even though she couldnât help how she felt deep down inside. âI knowâ she said wiping a few more tears and she sat up and when she did, she wrapped her arms around Blue tightly. âThank youâ she breathed âfor kicking his assâ she told her lovingly.
Blue chuckled softly and said, âyouâre welcome,â as she hugged her sister back just as tightly. âYou know these boys canât touch this,â she said with a laugh as she pulled back, gesturing to her long, gangly frame. âI tower over most of them,â she said, âso height advantage,â she said with a smirk. âAnd Jessie shat his pants, Iâm sure of it.â
At Blueâs words Siena dipped her head, smiling to herself a bit before she looked back up.
Blue smirked. âI got him good too, bloodied his mouth, blacked his eye,â she told her sister honestly. âHe hurt my baby sister, I hurt him,â she said raising her bruised fist to her lips and blowing on it. âFloat like a butterfly, string like a bee.â
Siena covered her mouth as she chuckled to herself, itâs what he deserved after all heâd done. Thinking about the beating her sister gave him, only made her a tad bit happier on the inside. âThe mighty Blueâ she breathed with a smirk.
âI try, I try,â Blue said as she dusted her shoulders off. She let out a hum before she looked at her sister seriously. âYouâre going to be alright Booty.â
âYeah, I am going to be okayâ Siena told Blue as she looked up at her again.
Blue nodded and placed her hand on her sistersâ shoulder. âIf you ever want to talk, you know where to find me,â she said sweetly as she moved to get off Sienaâs bed, sliding her slides back onto her feet.
I am not doing this to make anything about me, but I wanted to pin a letter to one of my biggest inspirations in the World. I could not imagine having to live a single day without you daddy and if I havenât said it enough I love you more than life itself. Thank you for everything that you do, that you try to do, and wish you could if you canât. Cherishing every moment with you is all I can hope for in life, because at a blink of an eye you could be gone and a life without you is simply no life at all. I feel so sorry for everyone affected by todayâs events, I truly could not imagine, I donât desire to. My dad would go to the ends of the Earth for us though even if he left it at our expense I still wouldnât be able to pull through. I hope Gigi felt comfort in her fatherâs arms, and I hope Kobe felt comfort in hers as they ascended to a high power. Hug your family, love them, cherish them, tell them how much they mean to you, before it's too late. My dad hasnât let us go all day, and my heart is heavy knowing why. đÂ

Ava looked over at Siena as she drove down the street towards the mall and she sighed softly, reaching over with her freehand, placing it on Sienaâs knee. âTalk to me baby girl,â she said softly.
Siena looked out the window and she felt her motherâs hand on her knee, she shrugged âwhat is there to sayâŚâ she asked her mother in return. âItâs just a break up right? No big dealâ she said mocking her motherâs hurtful words, and repeating him back to her.
Ava turned into the parking lot for the mall and she pulled into the first space that she could find, placing the car in park before she turned to her daughter. âNo sweetheart, itâs a big deal,â she said softly. âThis is your first official break up, right?â she asked honestly unsure. Her daughter always had a lot of male friends and attention from boys but Jessie was the only one she ever spoke about.
âYes momâ Siena said looking to her âwhat am I some whore?â she said agitatedly towards her as she opened the car door and climbed out. Boy wasnât there some anger and pain there.
âWhat? Honey, no,â Ava said quickly as she climbed out of the car with her daughter. âSweetheart,â she said as she quickly grabbed her purse out of the backseat and rounded the vehicle. âSiena,â she said grabbing her daughterâs hand and pulling her back gently. âBaby girl,â she said in a soft tone, a frown on her face. She stroked Sienaâs cheek lovingly. âDid you sleep with him?â she asked in a whisper. âYou can tell me, Iâm not upset,â she told her softly.
Pulling her hood up over her head, she stuck her hands into her hoodieâs front pocket and began to walk towards the mall entrance. Siena looked to her mom as she stopped her and whispered a question she didnât expect her to ask. She nodded her head at her âI was going to tell you, I promised you I would but it happened so fast,â she admitted. âAnd now heâs told everybody at school and they think I am a whoreâ she cried softly. âI was stupidâŚâ
Ava nodded slowly as Siena told her the truth and she pulled the young girl into a hug, holding her daughter tightly. âIâm so sorry sweetheart,â she breathed as she rubbed Sienaâs back. Pulling away slowly, she wiped her thumbs across Sienaâs cheeks. âBaby girl, youâre not a whore and youâre not stupid,â she said softly. âYou made a decision and he played on your emotions and itâs his loss because youâre wonderful baby girl,â she whispered. âI wish your first time would have been different but sweetheart youâll have more experiences thatâll be much different, I assure you,â she said gently. âIâll handle Jessie and his lying mouth but baby girl, I need you to know, youâre smart and youâre not a whore for making a decision to express your love through sex,â she whispered.
As her mother hugged close Siena wrapped her arm around the woman and squeezed her tightly as more tears spilled from her. At her words she sniffled nodding her head even as it rested in her motherâs hands. âOkayâ she said brokeningly to her mother as she expressed to her wisely how she felt and that sheâd handle the rumors the boy was spreading.
Ava rubbed her back gently nodding slowly. âBaby girl, I know that this is a bad experience now, but did you at least enjoy your first time?â she asked softly, wanting to know.
Siena looked to her mother âI donât knowâ she told her sadly âI told him certain things didnât feel right and he kept doing it anyway,â she sighed. âI just⌠let himâ she confessed.
Ava frowned softly. âDid he hurt you?â she asked rubbing Sienaâs shoulder tenderly. âDid he force you to sleep with him?â she asked gently, still rubbing Sienaâs shoulder.
âHe didnât force me mom, I told him I wanted toâ Siena said âit hurt a little bitâ she whispered leaning her head on her shoulder.
Ava nodded slowly, happy to hear that this boy hadnât forced himself on her daughter. âThatâs normal,â she admitted to her daughter. âSome people hurt the first time and a few times after as wellâŚâ she said honestly. âItâs a new feeling for your body,â she said gently, as she began to guide the girl towards the mall. âYouâre officially a woman nowâŚâ she said gently, the thought making tears form in her eyes.
As her mother spoke she nodded her head at her, moving to walk towards the mall. âMom donât say thatâ she said at her last words shaking her head she wasnât a woman, a woman wouldâve chosen a better man to have sex with, someone who actually loved her. âIâm just a foolâŚ.â she answered. âA stupid kidâ Siena said.
Ava looked to Siena and she blinked her emotional tears away. Her girls were growing up. It was wonderful but she also felt sad about it. Soon her children would be leaving the nest. âYouâre not a fool,â she said softly, her arm around Sienaâs shoulder. âMy first time wasnât the best either and I shouldnât have laid with the boy that I did but sweetheart, you live and you learn,â she explained. âYouâll have more experiences with someone that truly loves and cares for you and itâll be different.â
Siena looked to her mom and she raised her brow at her âdad wasnât your first?â she asked her, never having known of this before.
Looking at Siena, Ava chuckled softly. âNo sweetheart, your father was not my first,â she admitted. âI hadnât even known your father existed on this Earth the first time I had sex,â she explained as she opened the doors to the mall and stepped inside with her daughter, wanting Siena to lead the way. Today was all about her and no matter what it was Ava would do it or buy it for the girl.
âWhoaâ Siena said in response, maybe in her mind she just always thought to herself that her mother wasnât that type of person. But sheâd learned something new today, her mother had done things in her life before she was her mother and she was âhumanâ. âWere you⌠dadâs first?â she asked her next as they just walked.
Ava looked to Siena and she smiled softly. âNo I wasnât, your father had been with other women before he met me as well,â she told Siena truthfully. âYour father and I met in college, we were in our twenties. We had experienced life with and without each other,â she admitted.
Siena looked to her mom and nodded her head, she always thought so differently for whatever reason but she also hadnât asked her parents. Licking her lips, she walked with her mother and said âI feel a little better mom, thank youâ she told her softly.
Ava smiled softly as she gazed at Siena and she pressed a kiss to the girls temple. âIâm glad,â she said honestly. âYouâre welcome sweetheart,â she hugged Siena close once more before she said. âIf you want it, you got it,â gesturing towards the mall before them.
Siena smirked a little finally, Siena wrapped her arm around her mother tightly and hugged her to her side as they walked. âI really have just been wanting a new jacket for the winter,â she said to her.
Smiling sweetly, Ava nodded her head. âWhatever you want sweetheart,â she said to her lovingly. âLead the way,â she said as she gave her daughter another squeeze before it hit her and she looked at her daughter. âHe used a condom right?â
Siena nodded her head at the older woman and she looked to her at her question and she shook her head. âNo I didnâtâ she said with a long pause, knowingly. âBut I went to Maxineâs house and Princess came over. When we talked about I told them and Princess made her chauffer got get a Plan Bâ she breathed.
Ava inhaled a sharp breath at Sienaâs honest answer and she nodded slowly, her heart thudding in her chest. However, as Siena continued to explain, she let out a breath. âOh God,â she said stopping short. âBaby girl, how long after did you take that pill?â she asked needing to know. âHad it been over 72 hours since you had sex with Jessie?â she asked. âWere you Jessie's first?â she asked wanting to know more now, needing to know if she needed to take her baby girl to get tested or not. âDid he cum inside of you?â she asked.
âIt was the next dayâ Siena said to her mother honestly, at her next question she shook her head. âNo I wasnâtâ she added sticking her hand back into her pockets. At her motherâs next question her eyes bulge out of her head âmom!â she squealed out loud âare you kidding right now?â she asked her in shock. âI donât know momâ she said her shoulders reaching her ears as she shrugged them. âI just laid thereâ she said under her breath.
Listening to her daughter, Ava nodded slowly. âOkay,â she said thoughtfully. If she took it the very next day then she was in the clear, if the pill was indeed effective. âOkay, we should go to the doctor as a precaution to make sure he didnât give you anything sweetheart,â she said thoughtfully before her daughter squealed at her and she said, âwhat,â dragging the word out. âOkay, Iâm sorry,â she said gently. âDo you think you might want to start some type of birth control?â she asked her daughter softly. She wouldn't force it upon her, but she did think it would be a good idea.
Siena looked to her mother again as she walked into Forever 21, to find a jacket. âOkayâ she nodded, she knew her mother working in the medical field meant she wanted to dot all Iâs and cross all Tâs, and that didnât bother her at all. At her next suggestion she asked her mother a very serious question âis Blue on birth control?â
Happy that Siena agreed to go get checked out, Ava moved with the girl into the teenage store. âWell⌠honey, Blue is different as you know,â she said gently. âSheâs not at risk of possibly getting pregnant like you or Phoenix, well that we know of. Phoenix has not yet expressed an admiration for boys or girls yet so we donât know, however, you know Blue doesnât like boys⌠she canât get pregnant by another woman, but I did have a conversation with Blue as well and she said that if she ever found herself possibly wanting to be with a man that she would let me know so that we could take the proper precautions,â she explained thoughtfully.
Siena nodded her head at her motherâs words as she looked around slowly, rummaging through a rack of clothes. Licking her lips she sighed, âI guess I should⌠maybeâ she said unsure. âI donât see myself doing that again with anyone else anytime soonâŚ.â to her mother.
Ava nodded slowly, saying, âitâs never expected until it happens,â she said. âLetâs just be safe rather than sorry,â she said rubbing Sienaâs back once more. âIs that okay?â she asked her lovingly.
âYeah, thatâs fine momâ Siena replied as she looked to another rack of clothes searching for a jacket.
Ava looked up to the ceiling mouthing, thank you God. She hugged Siena from behind, giving the girl a loving squeeze. âI love you baby girl.â
âI love you too momâ Siena said truthfully as she picked up a jacket looking it over.
