Quick sketch of the new best boi, Jala Holso (name subject to change). He’s appearing in New!GBTQ as the guy in charge of security in Afterlife and by extension, Aria’s personal security. He works closely with the commando-dancers. He’s not a Lieutenant or a right hand, more like a scary bodyguard-assistant.

Jala is a really big and intimidating dude, by batarian standards. In his youth he participated in fight clubs on Khar’shan and even served time in a Hegemony prison/labor camp before his freedom was bought by a certain benefactor. I’ll give more details and backstory in the fic, but for now just know that he’s gonna be a real homie.

I made a new vector graphics cover since I now have access to Illustrator and can now emulate basic professionalism. So long, raster. Still messing around with the colors and spacing, but it’s on its way. (And yes, I’m still working on Firebird).

Covers for the future ebook version. The one on the left was a rough, first draft as a placeholder for the pdf. The one on the right was done today and will probably be the finished version unless I have a better idea. 

The current cover uses orange (between red and yellow) and has a handless sunburst clock - a symbol of hope in the face of unknown, impending doom. It poses the question of what we’ll do with our finite time, and who we’ll become. It offers an opportunity for redemption.
