My girl Amy recently hit me up to tell me about what she’s been up to since moving to Los Angeles from New York City. I was blown away to find out she actually started her own business in the form of the Beat Cruiser (shown above). To me, this is foodie-meets-music junkie— a super cool food-truck style cruiser that’s actually a mobile music store. Such a cool idea!
From Amy: “Last time I checked in with WATK, I was telling the blog about my position at a music composition and sound design company in NYC. Well, a lot has changed in a little over a year! I decided a job in an office setting wasn’t ideal for me, and I began planning for my own venture. Sparing you all the crazy details in-between, I’m now LA based and the owner of Beat Cruiser.
Beat Cruiser is a mobile music lifestyle store that launched a few short weeks ago. Think food truck, but replace the food with music products and picture a truck that you actually walk into the back of to shop. I really believe that music represents more than just a single hobby or interest, but shapes an entire way of life. Not only do we like to listen to music, but we want to wear, see, touch, and further rep our musical interests. Beat Cruiser rolls up to different markets and events and sells all music-related products ranging from vinyl records, headphones, turntables, books, clothing, accessories, and more. If you’re not LA based, no fear, you can still shop our products online. I love meeting new people and chatting music, so if you’re interested in learning more about Beat Cruiser or even just want to share some cool new bands with me, feel free to reach out at [email protected]. Peace, Love, & Beats!”
If your’e in LA, definitely look out for Amy as she’s cruisin the streets. On my next trip out, I’m looking forward to checking out the shop!
