Anyone can enter!! Results will be picked based on which one I like the best!! I’ll try to repost entries!

Your design will be featured in the comic if you win! I may slightly change small aspects of it like shapes and colors, but the general design will remain the same. Go nuts guys i cant wait to see your designs!!!!!!!!!

You don’t have to stick to the sprite exactly, but make sure it’s recognizable as her! Shorthair is optional, she can also be longhaired. You can make her tail short or long or medium, whatever you want! I can always edit the sprite afterward. If you want a fun challenge you can try to mix and match traits from tomato soupfur and topazblink’s family!

An adult/adolescent design based on the sprites here is preferred.

OurClan Character Design Contest!

hiii i was really on the fence if i wanted to do one of these or not!! but im being brave... i really need help designing some siblings lol

so my upcoming 5 kit litter has been drawn here before, but im having a lot of trouble being happy with a design for 3 of the babies. the other 2 im pretty satisfied with, but these guys. they are making things difficult!

^Hawthornfog: male, short fur, confident, very clever^

^Jasmineflame: female, short fur, cunning, masterful storyteller^

^Lilypond: male, short fur, strict, masterful storyteller^

ALSO. their mom's name is Tarantula, if that helps with ideas or anything at all lol

1st place: Your design will be made official! you will be credited upon their first in comic appearance, and on their toyhouse profile! Also a fullbody drawing of one of your characters!

2nd place: Fullbody drawing of one of your characters and a big thank you!

3rd place: a bust drawing of one of your characters and a big thank you!

have fun with the designs! try to keep them recognizable, but you can shift colors a bit or whatever u need to do (looks at Lily's weirdly yellow ""white"" patches.)

you are allowed to and encouraged to change eye colors a bit if you want! my speech bubbles are based on eye color so the more different eye colors i have, the better

PLEASE MAKE SURE THEIR POWER IS RELATED TO THEIR NAME IN SOME WAY. THIS IS CRUCIAL TO DESIGNING AN OURCLAN DESIGN LOL. The power can be based off their prefix OR suffix!

The power should not drastically alter their body. typically the powers are more of addition to the cat, not a complete warping of their body, if that makes sense. they should be unmistakably a cat, first and foremost

Please, please try and keep the design relatively simple, for my sanity, lol <3

Do YOU 🫵 want to design some kitties for GrackleClan? As promised, in honor of reaching uh. a lot of followers, here is a design contest for three kits who join in moon 34!!

RULES:

Submit as many designs as you like! Feel free to design all three kits, or just a few.

One winning design for each cat

Be creative! Don't feel limited by what the sprite looks like, whether that be colors/fur length/whatever. Follow your heart

Even though they will be joining as kits, please design an adult version of them!

I would prefer if you use my blue lineart for your designs so I don't have to mess with the colors later. The hex code for it is #2143c8

Please, PLEASE don't give Snowykit those stereotypical blind eyes. You know, the blue with the white pupils. I would love to see some actual conditions that cause blindness represented!!

Last day to submit designs will be SEPTEMBER 5, one month from today

If I don't have a working tablet by then, I'll draw a quick traditional sketch of your character in the meantime lmao

this looks like the ramblings of a madman, but needless to say, these are my Weedspots and Shadowstar kits... i love love !!! i love obsession !!! and i love to see it absolutely SHATTERED by the realities of raising children.... so i took the challenge pretty literally. WHAT IF Weedspots gets everything he wanted? Would it be as wonderful as he pictured? uh.... let's meet them, shall we?

Perfectkit was firstborn. A perfect little copy of Shadowstar - minus the tail !! Perfectkit was quick to mewl her disappointment when their siblings joined them at their mother's belly. As a little one, she liked to throw her weight around. She's a born leader (just like her mother, as Weedspots would say!!) in that she LOVES when other cats listen to her and NO ONE ELSE please. As she grew up, she became a fierce fighter, able to go toe to toe with cats twice her age. She likes winning. A lot. She's a hard cat to read, with a mostly flat expression unless they are feeling something very very strongly. You're most likely to get a smile out of them when they're striking fear into another cat, or causing them pain. They struggle to empathize with others or feel things too strongly. Compassion is far from a strong suit. She's the type of cat who would steal a catch on a full stomach, just to prove she could.

Preciouskit was born next. She looks less like Shadowstar, but she has her eyes. You've never heard a kit cry so loud, or cling to her parents so fiercely! Preciouskit was especially close to Weedspots growing up, absolutely adoring every second of his attention and doing anything to please him or catch his eye. Truthfully though, she'll take anyone's attention, for any reason. She was always the curious one, quick to poke her nose in where it didn't belong. She was also the cruel one, though she never seemed to realize. Where Perfectkit LIKED to be mean, Preciouskit always seemed confused when she was scolded for torturing bugs or playing with her prey before killing it. As she grew up, she got the eye for.... well, any cat who would look at her (and sometimes that wasn't even a requirement). She inherited Weedspots' obsessive tendencies, and has a new crush she'd be willing to kill or die for almost every moon.

Shadowkit was born last. He was smaller than his sisters, and certainly resembled his mother the least. Was he loved less for that? He wasn't sure, but being named 'Shadow' felt like an apology for his differences - a last ditch attempt to connect him to a family he struggled to fit in to. His parents loved him, but to him, they loved his sisters more. And his sisters loved nothing more than to torment him. Whether it was pummeling him into tears or sending him nose-first into danger, it felt like he could not grow up fast enough to escape them. But as he aged, even though the two of them remained cruel, he couldn't help but wonder if perhaps it was better to stay by their sides. After all, other cats could surely be just as cruel - if not more so!! He keeps to himself, and does not make friends easily. He just does what he's told, and waits for something to change, but he doesn't know what, or if he even wants it.

I am quite proud of these 3.... i was REALLY STUCK at first, but i love where they ended up. they're kind of dumb and silly but it was a REALLY fun couple to think about having a family... i will think about them forever. i'm obsessed. maybe not weedspots obsessed! but obsessed nonetheless. i hope you like them !!! i like them SO MUCH

Design Contest!

Since I have most designs for @rooted-clangen preplanned it means I can't really do any designs contests which people really like. However the same can't be said for Bisonclan!

In moon 3, Seedwatcher will have... 5 whole kittens!! So these kitties will be the subject of the design contest! You can do any of them, be it one or two or all!

Rules: 1. No AI. I am anti-genAI, any use will get you blocked. 2. Digital and traditional is fine! No irl pics or picrews. Bases are also not allowed. 3. You can stylize all you like! Hair, fun shapes- the crew is already non-realistic so have fun. Just stay similar to the og sprites! 4. Please tag it #Bisonclancontest !

I happened to open Tumblr right as the @daisyclan design contest was announced, and had to throw my hat in the ring!

Tried to keep him as animation-friendly / webcomic-friendly as possible LOL, but I have a simplified version as well just in case (whole chest is pale, underbelly doesn't stretch to inner leg, and wing pattern is simple).

I imagine him as a BIG BOY, and I hope he is a good boy 😅

(Not sure if the brown specks on his pelt are part of his design, but I hope so, and if so, I would love to see others implement it too!!)

Still getting used to the new tablet and what better way then a little designing? :3 and how could I resist making an entry to @our-clangen 's design contest!!

I adore this comic and admire this creator so much!! They've made such an enthralling story and cast, the number of pages (and backlog) they've produced makes me want to kick my butt into gear haha

More on Jasmineflame's powers under the readmore!!

I chose to design Jasmineflame, since they were really pretty and the other two designs seemed to have an impressive pool of gorgeous designs already. I tried to keep her design as simple as the other Our-clan cats with a basic pastel gradient.

Jasmineflame's power is the ability to heat up her fur, or 'fire fur' for short! It's relatively simple and no apparent change in appearance which I figured worked well for a background character, but allows for a lot of cunning use to fit her personality.

Heating up her fur can do lots of things

Most obviously cause burns to opponents in battle or prey, or burn and scorch her environment to leave marks for others to follow or drawing pictures for her storytelling

Create light for when in dark environments, at night, or to dazzle prey and opponents with a rapid and bright burn of her fur

Be a warm campfire when it gets cold! Her clanmates will love to cuddle up to her in winter, or she can melt away snow and ice.

Jasmine flowers apparently symbolise love, platonic and romantically, so I thought it'd be cute if she subconsciously began to burn when flustered or blushing, making her cheeks glow white.

The opportunities for fun little quicks are endless but can be picked and chosen depending on what fits the story and what would be too strong for the plot. I figured there's already a fire-breather in the clan, so making someone who can create heat but only with her fur (not eyes, claws, etc) would make a fun limit, while focusing more on other aspects of flames like their ability to light up a room.

Decided to join @our-clangen 's design contest because I need a break from college stuff and this comic lmao

At first I thought his name was Hawthornfrog and wondered how on earth I could make a cat part frog lmaooo 😭😭😭

Anyways his power is constantly creating fog from his white spots! If he gets too spooked or stressed the fog can poof out and create a cloud around him. He can also use the fog to make it harder for prey to spot him and mask his scent slightly

I saw her moms name was Tarantula and my brain cells activated. Her power is creating silk she can set on fire from her claws! Because of this, her claws are much longer then average but also a little weaker than normal because they are hollow.

She can lay silk traps then ignite them from a far if she really wanted :P

Jasmine was the hardest for me to design pelt wise.... such a pretty sprite but ougggg

Lily's tail might be pushing it a bit with drastic alterations but shhh let me design a silly kitty with a flower tail....

Lilys are pretty notorius for being very poisonus to cats so thats what I'm basing his power off of. His tail lily produces a semi-fast acting poison from the pollen thats most effective towards other cats and dogs! He's immune to the poison but needs to be somewhat careful around his clanmates because of this.

I imagine the poison from his lily isn't as extreme as real life lilies, like at most it would make you sick for a while and not make you die an agonizing death 😭
