First of all, Tommy is an Apple user. I WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY CRITICISMS.
He is low-key a grandpa when it comes to social media and texting.
He isn’t a fan of texting.
He is a dry texter rip and it can be super frustrating because he can take forever to reply…if he does reply that is.
He is annoying af. LOL
He’s the type to text like he’s writing a letter asdfghjjkl.
“Dear Y/N, I will be working late tonight. Don’t stay up. Yours sincerely, Thomas Shelby”
Its either that or just a ‘K’ there is no in between. And that’s if he doesn’t leave you on read
Texting Tommy would NOT include using abbreviations..you’ve come to learn this the hard way.
He’d ask every single time what ‘brb’ ‘lol’ ‘lmao’ meant. In the end you give up because he wouldn’t bother to remember them anyway.
You make memes of Tommy and send them to him. But the man doesn’t know you’re clowning him. He thinks this is the Highest Honor ™ there is and actually uses his own meme.
Tommy doesn’t know what a meme is until you use one while texting him.

You try to explain what it is but he still doesn’t get it. He tries to use a meme once or twice for you. Trying to low-key impress you with his ‘meme knowledge’
But he fails hopelessly, using the wrong memes in the wrong context. He never uses them never again after you roast him.
He leaves you on read for a week because of that. Petty!Tommy lmao
Wait until you show him the emoji keyboard.
Its a whole new world and Tommy’s like “What the fuck am I supposed to do with all of this ey?” “What’s the bloody point of most of these small pictures?”
“They’re not pictures, Tommy. They’re emojis.”
Whenever Tommy can’t get his phone to work, he goes to Finn.
The poor boy is his family’s personal I.T Guy.
Tommy has two phones. One for personal use and one for bushiness.
On his personal phone his notifications are always turned off because he is constantly being spammed by the multiple group chats he’s in.
He didn’t even join most of them, besides The Family ™ one. Alfie adds Tommy to every group chat he is part of just to annoy Tommy lol.
All the group chats are muted of course, even the family one but don’t tell them that.
The only time Tommy texts the Family group is to make an announcement.
“Family meeting” and then leaves the chat, not bothering to check the response because he knows they will all be there. They have no choice lmao. You had plans? Too bad. Cancelled.
Tommy is a cocky little shit like that.
Tommy barely replies to anyone, besides you, Alfie and Polly.
No one in the family has his business number except Polly because they would blow up that phone with notifications as well. *side eyes John and Finn*
Twitter:
Tommy does not have any personal social media besides Twitter and Instagram
Tommy also signs his tweets with “T. Shelby” and sometimes when he is really feeling himself “ T. Shelby, OBE”
He probably had all this titles in his bio at one point until Finn stole his phone one day and deleted it because that is obnoxious af.
He only ever uses it to promote his businesses, like his new Gin line.
He occasionally tweets about his interests aka horses. What else does this man like besides working, drinking, horses and smoking lol.
He once posted a picture with his horse Dangerous and that tweet alone got thousands likes within the hour.
Many modelling agencies contact him after that post.
Tommy initially had the employee who runs all the Shelby Company Ltd social media accounts manage his personal twitter until he learned they were pretending to be Tommy to get people’s phone numbers.
They also tweeted a lot of nonsense about Tommy, like him being a model. But with his looks who wouldn’t believe that? lol.
A fair amount of Tommy’s followers are people who follow him just his looks, eagerly awaiting for him to upload another pic of himself asdfghjkl
He does not realise this though and thinks its because of his good ‘business strategy’ lmao
Tommy doesn’t even waste his time with checking or replying to mentions or direct messages; even if its business related.
That’s what the company twitter is for after all.
His DMs are mostly filled with thirsty people wanting his number lol.
Tommy gets tweeted fanart from his followers lol.
The family contantly roast him under all his tweets. Period.
Instagram:
Tommy only has Instagram because in an *Alternate AU* Grace is present and begs him to make one.
This is because Grace, the wannabe influencer, wants to be one of those cute ‘insta couples’ with Tommy lol.
Tommy barely uses insta, he mostly posts pictures of his horses.
And of course he signs his captions off with ‘ T. Shelby OBE’ because Instagram is a Professional Platform ™ according to him lol
