Away (Part 1)
“We gotta getchu a nurse to keep watch over you. You can’t be out the hospital right now man.”
Duan pled his case to Dro, who was on the jet waiting for @pierce-xo. He wanted to fly them both away from all the bullshit. Back to his old stomping grounds in New Orleans, Louisiana. He went to Xavier University and even pledged there. His frats already hooked up a nice hideaway spot for him so nobody would know his whereabouts. If he had booked an hotel, Papz would be everywhere. He wanted this private time alone with her, but also had to take care of himself too.
“Don’t worry,” Dro sighed, “I have that all taken care of. I’ll have a nurse and doctor on go in case.” Once Dro saw Pierce appear, he told Duan his goodbyes and not to tell anyone where he was. Duan agreed and they both hung up.
Dro grabbed his cane and limped over to the doors of the jet. “Before you complain about me not being in the hospital, just come up here first and give me a kiss. I miss you and got damnit, I love your crazy ass.”
Pierce was trying to understand what was going on. A car showed up at her place and the driver told her to pack her things. She had a feeling that it was Dro’s doing but had no proof. She would just go with it and if she ended up dead, oh well. The driver ended up pulling up on a tarmac next to a jet. She got out and walked up as she saw Dro standing there. She was shocked to say the least. Running up the steps of the jet, she carefully hugged him and kissed him deeply. “I love you too, but we gotta get you back to a hospital.”
Pierce couldn’t believe her eyes. She didn’t think that this would happen. She was trying to piece it all together. Ivory said that Dro was hers... so what happened? And what about the restraining order? Pierce didn’t wanna end up in court.
“Why are we on a jet? Come on. You need to get back to where they can watch you. You’re not 100% yet.”
To shut her up again, he smirked and kissed her deeply. He didn’t know how much he missed her until he felt empty. Like something was missing when he woke up. When he saw Ivory, he was in a haze. Everything was hazy for him. Even though he spent time comforting her, in the back of his mind he was wondering where it all was coming from after she didn’t see him in the hospital at all. For all she could have known, he could have been dead. He felt if he wasn’t awake, she’d still be gone. Pierce however, she was there from sun up to sun down. He definitely felt and heard her presence there. He felt his sister there, and yea, he also felt Versace. He would have to talk to her when the time came. Everyone was there but Ivory.
“I’m not going back to the hospital. We are going to fly to New Orleans, clear our heads, and just have our time to ourself. Nobody is about to take that away from me. You owe me this...Come with me.”
He looked at her, “I have nurses and doctors on stand by. I swear.”
Pierce stared him in the eyes and she believed him. She didn't know why, but she did. She felt like this time was different. She hoped it was different. She just shook her head okay.
"What about your family? You know your sister is gonna blow my phone up asking questions."
As she walked further onto the plane, she held on tight to Dro's other hand. It's like she didn't want to let him go.
“My family will be okay. Trust. I will call my sister when we get there and let her know that I’m fine.” Dro assured her. When she started walking upward, it relieved him. She agreed and by the looks of it, she didn’t want to let him go. “Pierce, I’m okay, I promise. I’m hurtin a little, but nothin I can’t handle.”
He kissed her hand, and hoped she’d relax and know that he will be alright.
Once the two got on board, the pilot made sure they were comfortable and then they took off.
Later on during the flight, Dro laid down of course, as his on board nurse hooked his IV back in so that he would get the proper medicine he needed to take the pain away. Pierce was by his side.
“As far as Ivory go...I don’t know. Before I got stabbed, she was here and then when I was in the hospital the first time I heard or felt her was yesterday. She hasn’t been there. Like I said before, I only felt you there. I appreciate you for that, given our recent history.”
