i fall before the shaheed kaurs of our panth. the women who did the fearless work of raising revolutionaries and BEING revolutionaries. the women who didn’t conform to expectations of femininity. the ones who were mothers and the ones who were not mothers. the ones who fought on the front lines tasting the metal of swords and bullets and the ones who fought the battle of feeding their children radical, revolutionary love while the world around them was falling apart. i honour them. all of them. may they continue to rise and may our brothers humble themselves enough to hear and see and honour them, too.
