Burr’s story will likely be like Lottie’s from Yellowjackets (if you’ve watched that, yk) where it SEEMS supernatural but is more mental instability than anything
Yeah the original thought was going to be them as ghosts, but it ended up just being the deaths in general 😭
Eliza is stuck in the loop until she processes everything up to part 13. She performs the actions of her death like usual, but has the ability to not be stuck in torment mentally. She has to process the fact she died, and her family’s deaths were but pawns.
Philips death was meaner than I let on 😭 like you said, he was used as a pawn, but Burr hadn’t really cared how he passed, just that he passed. Hanging was easiest and “quickest.” After securing the ropes, he left the boy to suffocate on his own. He died alone, an afterthought and a tool.
Washington knew that an assassination (as people assumed it was at first) this early into a nations founding has an incredibly high chance of collapsing the country, but it didn’t. If anything, it helped further its development, he helped further its development. People realized they couldn’t rely on a single person far sooner than if he hadn’t died, and they built a system that they could fall back on much sooner. Washington, though he wishes he could’ve lived longer, is overall happy with the turnout of the country. (The au’s current president is ambiguous - NOT a president we’ve had before, or likely will have) His face, as it usually is after being shot, is INCREDIBLY gorey and scarring to see in person, especially if you’re not expecting it. Washington is well aware of this, and will leave if you seem too scared by him. He’s definitely one of the nicest spirits in this area.
James doesn’t really grasp the fact he’s passed away permanently. Like you said, he thinks taking a life will give him his back; an eye of an eye, if you will. The blunt force inflicted on James made his vision worse, so he assumes anyone stepping foot in his territory is in agreement with Burr to “finish the job,” so he will do everything in his power to not let that happen. Women are hurt less severely, but wounds still require medical attention. Isolation has definitely made his humanity falter, and he wasn’t a great person to begin with. He cannot go past the tree line, but still proceed with extreme caution if in the immediate area.
Lee and seabury don’t hurt anybody. They know how pain feels, and aren’t willing to bring it upon anybody else. They reside inside of the basement they passed in, though they can go within a few feet on the area. They mostly keep to themselves, but occasionally, if enough peace offerings are provided (trinkets, food, songs, poetry, &c.), they may reveal themselves. The sight is not a pretty one, so be very prepared for gore.
They both have limbs broken (Lee moreso) and can contort in inhuman ways due to that. Seabury is more fragile than Lee, due to his mental state being worse overall. He had to watch Lee’s operations before they were performed on him, leading to seabury already being much more vulnerable than Lee was (it’s taken physical manifestation).
Bandages hold seabury’s limbs to his body, and Lee periodically has to redo them. Lee’s limbs (as you said) are very jittery due to their broken state. When movements occur, the grinding of bones can be heard against one another. He doesn’t seem affected by it, so it’s best to not bring it up.
Alexander is able to write a few letters at a time in the dirt, so that’s how he communicates with visitors throughout the day. If a paper is left hanging from the fence post overnight, a longer piece of writing will show. Usually reoccurring visitors pair it with a question, and Alexander will answer it along with other thoughts he’s had recently he hasn’t been able to voice. If not paired with a question, he will rant about something on his mind (usually inconsiderate visitors). No one knows how he manages to acquire ink, nor how he writes with it. If you stay in the area and attempt to watch, the paper will stay blank. Only one paper is written on for a night, and the schedule is unpredictable. There are obviously still some dogs in the area, so Alexander simply hides away if one is present, no matter how small.
