we will be releasing video of tonight’s show, and a full exit interview with both of us, as “those damn things…", on oct 25, what would have been the band’s 2nd anniversary. we love you all so much.
its sucks, because you’d like to think a goodbye is a real thing. but “goodbye" hasn’t happened for us, because neither of us want to cry in front of the other. or, at least, me. i need to not speak for her, but i think, maybe, there’s a caring of what we used to have in there, because she gave her all like i gave my all. and yeah, no, i’m not done. i’ve realized thanks to this that music is something i want to do. and i’m the luckiest motherfucker in the world because i get to keep doing it. but sometimes, you miss the friend you confided in, and told secrets to, and maybe thought was your friend too even though you now realize you were a personality type that could have never been friend with her, because it just doesn’t work, but still. you miss your friend.
i’m going to miss my friend. that’s all. thank you, everyone, for supporting sdr. i’m not going to shamelessly plug my or her new projects right now.
THANK YOU. thank you. from both of us. thank you.

Friends, we've come to the end. At the end of this week we're both going to be working on our own projects, and Silent Drape Runners will be retired. While individually we definitely won't be low-profile (or HOPEFULLY NOT!), we'd love to see you one last time as we are now. Tuesday night we'll be partying at The DL for the last time with our friends WOLVVES and GHOST COP , and celebrating russ's single release as a place both wonderful and strange. thursday 8/1, we perform for the last time. our calling-card show that's managed to take us across the country and given us the ability to see and do things we never thought possible. it's Twin Peaks: The Beginning, the show that brought us together in Oct of 2011, and we hope you can join us at The Bell House in Brooklyn for it. tickets are now on-sale, and we'd like to encourage pre-ordering because this show sells quickly. We love you and we hope you'll come hug/laugh/cry/puke / have some coffee and pie with us this week before these damn things are silent.
The end is nigh. Our final live performance. Twin Peaks: The Beginning. For the last time ever.
8/1 at The Bell House in BK NY. TIx here.
Listen/purchase: DNT CM (w Ghost Cop) by a place both wonderful and strange
boom. it’s my debut single.
russ's debut single as a place both wonderful and strange
AVC: The song seems to have an obviously negative, psychological effect on you. Are you the kind of person who gets a song stuck in his head for days, and that’s where the hatred comes from? DL: Yeah, it got stuck in my head, and it was like having a disease. AVC: Is it the repetitiveness, the lack of any kind of invention, in the song? DL: Yeah, it’s actually a masterpiece in some ways, because it’s so simple, yet even kind of more than catchy. Like I said, it’s like the swine flu or something. Through music, you get the swine flu.

"This became our calling card song, really, and I guess both started and answered the “are they a joke or for serious?” questions (answer: yes. no. yes. maybe. yes. no. what do you think?)"
The complete, collected Silent Drape Runners musical output is now up at Brooklyn Based, including track-by-track commentary from both of us. There's also a chance to win 2 tix to our final live show, aug 1 at the bell house
