god that hand holding scene in the last scene of atypical still gets me every time. theres just something so scary and wonderful about it, like this is what young gay onscreen relationships should look like, innocent, budding adolescence where the stakes are low and theyre working through their feelings but they’re willing to take a risk with each other because something just feels like it’s clicked inside FUCK ME UP

hot take: elsa gardner’s character is one of the best written characters i’ve ever seen. all of her flaws & mistakes are so extremely human and realistic. she’s done bad shit but she loves and lives for her family. the show, just like with all main characters, does such a good job of laying out her thought process and emotions and the actions that follow. unlike a lot of parents, unlike doug (who i also love don’t get me wrong) for a very long time, she’s TRYING and i don’t believe she will ever stop trying because she loves her kids so damn much. in conclusion, stop giving so much hate to a suburban mom who’s had to give up a large part of her life to ensure the well being of those closest to her
