Chance Encounter - [Closed with the-demon-blade]
How long has it been since the once fabled Demon Blade was sheathed into the pedestal? Months? Years? Centuries? He couldn’t tell. The extent of his awareness only reached to the walls of the room, anything beyond that he was oblivious to. So much to his annoyance, Ghirahim had to wait for anyone to come for him.
He was pulled out of his subconscious sleep when he felt a presence enter the room he was in. …A boy? What was a child doing here? And what good would he be to releasing him? He needed someone of strength, not youth. However. There…was something strange about the child. He reminded Ghirahim of a certain Skyloftian, who would no doubt be dead by now, only smaller and with brighter blonde hair.
It could only be a coincidence. There was no way the child was the same Hero. Or at least….that’s what the Demon Blade had thought till Link dusted off the blood red gem on his crossguard. It flickered a small pulse of light as a reaction to the contact. Even in such a small and young person, he could sense part of the power of the Triforce.
Naturally the only way he was able to figure that out was because of the direct contact with his true form. Should Ghirahim had been in his traveling forms and they touched each other, he would have been known the wiser about the source of power inside the young hero. So here was the pressing issue:
What was the child going to do?
Link frowns at it, dusts it off again. It lights up again, and he beams at it. It looks awfully heavy for a weapon, but it couldn’t be as heavy as Nanna’s pillars. He gently nudges it, tests it for weight.
Oof! It’s heavy! The child frowns at it - He wants to take it home with him. Maybe when he’s big and strong, he can wield it in battle someday! He frowns again, but slowly slides it free, a happy smile when he realizes he can lift it if he holds it that way.
“Pretty...” He giggles, smiles at the sword. It’s slow, carrying the heavy blade out with him, but it’ll be worth it. Link nods to himself, giggles happily.
