Kiran (Fire Emblem Heroes) V.S. The Protagonist (Tokyo Afterschool Summoners) (Part 2)
You see, Kiran’s summon requires him to use the Summoning Stone, and even though it’s stupid, he also needs five orbs in order to summon. Now, you might think that this is just a game mechanic, however, it’s actually rooted in canon. In Fire Emblem Engage, when speaking to Emblem Veronica, she states that her ability to summon heroes is not her own, and actually the ability of someone she knew from her world. Additionally, if we treat the “Day in the Life” mini-comics as canon (which really, there’s no reason not to), in one comic (https://fire-emblem-heroes.com/en/manga/part/index.html#part250813), the summoner literally uses orbs to summon. Additionally, he literally says that he had to gather them, implying that they are not things that he just carries on him. This is in contrast to the Protagonist, who’s able to summon any transients that he has a contract with.
Now, say that the summoner has the orbs necessary to summon 10 heroes. Well then, it’s now just down to luck. Canonically, Kiran can summon Heroes in groups, as said in multiple Forging Bonds stories. So say he can summon a group of ten heroes, what group will it be? Will it be full of low power heroes, or city busters? In Forging Bonds: Beyond the Mirror, Zelestia talks more about the specifics about Emblem Veronica’s summon mechanic, which she says to be random. This means that Kiran has no way of controlling which heroes he summons (which I guess was also shown in the Day in the Life comic, but this is more hard proof, coming from the game).
Now, who does the Protagonist have a contract with? I’m an hour into this post, and I don’t feel like doing extra research, but I do know on the top of my head that (if we’re treating Character Quests as canon to the main timeline) the Protagonist has contracts with the Red Oni, Hokeu Kamui, and Ifrit.
Honestly, Kiran has the potential to win the fight. However, it’s only with extreme, and I mean extreme luck, that he pulls through. He has to summon heroes that are either villains, as they generally have the best solo feats. Gods, as... They’re gods (Most Fire Emblem gods have feats that generally scale above most of the Housamo cast (excluding Exceptions)). Or the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE characters, who are just Persona characters with a Fire Emblem paint job (they have universal+ feats, if he summons just one of them, he wins(the probability is lower, though, as there are less characters in its roster (It also may be impossible, as they have technically never been canonically summoned to Askr before, in their paralogue, they showed up by accident through a portal in their world)).
Now, if we’re talking about a fight that’s the Order of Heroes V.S. The Summoners, well. It gets a lot more tricky. Now, when I say the order of heroes, I’m going to exclusively talk about main story heroes like Alfonse, Sharena, Anna, Takumi, Fjorm, Eir, Peony, Reginn, Ash, Seiðr, and Ratatoskr. (Rune is not here due to kinda being evil), and book 1 Heroes (Heroes seen in the Day in the Life series are not considered, as canonically, most of the summoners are different in-between comics). This is (also) because if I included Forging Bonds, the Order of Heroes would be literally all 1000+ characters in Fire Emblem Heroes, and that would be way too many for it to be fair. Also, I will be including ALL the Summoners. So I’m including the likes of Agyo, Gullinbursti, Inaba, Quantum, and Yig along with the original roster.
...Yeah the Summoners low-diff.
Okay, wait, let me explain. Most of the roster for the Order of Heroes are gods or have the power of gods. ...However, power and strength does not matter in this case. You may have noticed that the Summoners get Quantum and Yig, and if you know what they can do, it’s really just... Insanity?
Quantum’s Sacred Artifact can make people just not exist, and Yig can literally manipulate space-time. In addition, his fangs are literally an instant kill (if I’m interpreting it right).
Now, you might think that “Couldn’t Seiðr just go back in time?” and the answer to that is surprisingly simple. No. She was granted extra power by Njörðr and then Nerþuz in order to travel through time, so she would not be able to do it in this scenario.
Additionally, even without Quantum and Yig, Kengo is able to strike with infinite power, beating out most of the Order of Heroes. Additionally, he has experience with swordfighters and is generally said to be pretty good at fighting. So he’d most likely be able to beat most of the Order by himself. Additionally, even if he’s not enough, he will be backed up by his team. You see, in Fire Emblem Heroes, every Book generally seems... Pretty contained. None of the characters really interact with others from outside their book. So they would not be able to work as a cohesive unit like the Summoners. Also, none of the heroes (except maybe Fjorm, but it’s unlikely she would be able to do so) would be able to tank Double Dragon. Also, with Shiro here, he would be able to more easily aim it.
So yeah... Giving him these heroes doesn’t help Kiran. Overall, Kiran, and the Fire Emblem Heroes cast in general, is more limited due to being in a mobile game. Their abilities can only grow over a short Book and Tempest Trial. Additionally, the power level of Housamo is just generally way higher, so there was practically no chance that Kiran came out on top.
But what do you think? I didn’t do any real calculations, so I could be wrong. And I didn’t re-read the tempest trials or chapter 16, so I could be wrong in terms of those as well. So... Do you think that I’m right? Subscribe and comment-
