Who gave you that black eye? It's completely swollen shut...
A meme I reblogged somewhere??Â
It wasnât terribly bad, it ached and was a constant pressure on her face. She had tried to hide it as she looked up from her small tome. Give her smallest smile as she waved her hand. Dismissing the question as if it wasnât an important matter. It would heal and that was that. Â
SENTENCES FROM HEARTS OF STONE.
a collection of quotes from the first expansion pack of the witcher 3: wild hunt.
â even after death, you still play the pale imitation. â
â i remain a wreck, my mind tattered. â
â i feel as thoughâŠas though a hot ironâs pierced my chest !! â
â business with you is pure pleasure. â
â you know iâm good at accomplishing the impossible.âÂ
â my heart still bleeds, & horrifying visions plague my every moment. â
â iâve reopened my own wounds. â
â remember, you can always give up. â
â what is it about swords that turns men into utter fools when they see one for the taking ? â
â i truly expected more of you. â
â the flower closes, & i am overcome with sleep. â
â come, now. Â you didnât expect it to be that easy, did you ? â
â i offer a great & true adventure â an experience like no other, the fate of only the chosen few !! â
â where you as dear to him as he seems to have been to you ? â
â you must surrender to your senses. â
â would you wait, sir, for the dribble to subside ? â
â i donât wish to look at your face any longer than i must. â
â not a soul can be trusted. â
â hot damn, boy !! you neednât ask me twice !! â
â today we mix like fire & oil, my love. â
â i wouldnât want to get blood on my damselâs dress. â
â iâll not deny it â i fled. â
â look. Â even your accomplices have turned against you. â
â i wonât decide your fate. â
â what now ? Â off to find another poor fool ? â
â i descend once more into my dream of what was. â
â to gaze again into those eyes, eyes the devil would be proud to have⊠â
â what a mess we made of it all. â
â a team of hellish stallions could not tear me away. â
â iâll get angry, stop talking, & slaughter you all like swine. â
â at least you now know i donât easily lose my head. â
â i give folk what they want, nothing more. â
â most believe evil has always existed, for none remember a time when it did not. â
â that is entirely the fault of their rotten natures. â
â youâre not human; thatâs clear. â
â never could stand to be idle. â
â surrender to spontaneous honesty â nothing more beautiful in human relationships. â
â weâre better off keeping things as they were. â
â i wanted to prevent further bloodshed. â
â we agreed not to keep any secrets from one another. Â we promised. â
â what other spell must i use ? Â iâve tried them all. â
â i donât wish to suffer any longer, but i fear there will be cold & darkness until there is nothing at all. â
â itâs my fault; it was for me. â
â are we wrong to want that ? our intentions are pure. â
â deathâs not come to claw me back. â
â seize the night, seize your chance. â
â the reasoning of these creatures is beyond human understanding. â
â evil, then, is an integral part of our lives. â
The inn was nice and warm. Filled with the smells of meat cooking on the spit, spices, and of course alcohol. The priestess smoothed out her robes before she sat, taking the piece of parchment and setting her quill to the side. Never once did the young Draeneiâ smile waver. The warmth of it reaching her eyes as she hands clasp together on her lap. But the divide was not lost to her. On one side the races of the Alliance sat and on the other the Horde. Only a few sat together in the middle.
Amarna was so kind, even as Urazi gave her a questioning look. Was she sure? The priestess was more than happy to pitch in. Perhaps the tip? Yes, she would do that. Urazi waited patiently as Amarna stuttered. The poor thing was nervous but Urazi found it rather adorable. Taking the quill the priestess thought over her reply carefully. Taking a moment as she scribbled in her neat handwriting..
âYou are very kind, Amarna, I will have whatever you recommended if thatâs alright? Your craftsmanship is lovely and your friend is very lucky, it is quite beautiful. I still prick my fingers when I try.â The writing stopped as she thought about Amarnaâs last question very hard. Her smile lost as she was deep in thought. It was not a difficult answer.
âYes, my mother was a priestess. I wanted to follow her path and honor her. She taught me the basics before her passing.â
After she was satisfied, Urazi passed the note.     Â
Hear my voice⊠Come back to the light.
* question starters
â how could you? â
â where were you? â
â what are you running from? â
â whatâs wrong? â
â do you want a blanket? â
â did you throw a rock through my fucking window? â
â are you even listening? â
â oh, is that the story? â
â are you drunk? â
â are you lost? â
â are you trying to hug me? â
â what are you staring at? â
â is this your idea of a sick joke? â
â do you still care about me? â
â forget something? â
â leaving so soon? â
â will you cut it out? â
â who did this? â
â does it look like iâm laughing? â
â were you singing? â
â is that a bruise? â
â is that blood? â
â are you trying to get us killed? â
â was that an apology? âÂ
â did you hang up on me just now? â
â can we leave? â
â well, did you? â
â you started those rumors? â
â are you in trouble? â

67 Warm hug
Fingers curled around light robes as the Draenei priestess picked up her pace. Hooves echoing on the stone as she made here way to her fellow priestess. It was too long since they last seen each other. Urazi missed the Blood Elf dearly as she wrapped her arms around her. A large smile on her lips. For a few moments the Draenei held the embrace before letting go before uttering a rare spoken word.
âIâve missed you.â

â it is ill to keep a lady waiting. â â under the sea, the birds have scales for feathers. â â this is early to come calling, scarce past dawn. you should be snug in your bed. â â i had bad dreams about the dragons. they were coming to eat me.â â so you see, there is nothing to fear. â â if the gods are good, they will grant us a warm autumn and bountiful harvests, so we might prepare for the winter to come. â â it is always summer under the sea. â â iâll see to your breakfast now. â â they are clever, these birds. â â i should have been told. i should have been woken. â â i have climbed these steps so often i know each one by name. â â look at me! â â in the end words are just wind. â â you could bring him no hope? â â what am i to tell them? what must i do now? â â itâs swords i need, not blessings. â â the night is dark and full of terrors. â â only children fear the dark. â â i need no crown but truth. â â you are too ill and too confused to be of use to me, old man. â â i will not have you kill yourself in my service. â â i fear the bottom of the sea. â â whereâd you get a blade like that? â â go on, take it off him, i dare you. â â hey, you gimme that sword. you donât know how to use it. â â might be i got your attention now. â â hitting them wonât bring him back. â â someone should kill him! â â you look very lovely today, my lady. â â who do you think will win the dayâs honors? â â did you hear? iâm to ride in the tourney today. â â did i tell you, i intend to challenge him to single combat. â â i lose! fetch me some wine. â â what a man sows on his name day, he reaps throughout the year. â â donât be childish. â â weâre children. weâre supposed to be childish. â â iâm glad youâre not dead. â â my lady, i am sorry for your losses. truly, the gods are cruel. â â all sorts of people are calling themselves kings these days. â â iâd guard that tongue of yours, little man. â â what are you doing here? â â it would seem that a welcome is in order. â â a man after my own heart. â â please, do let me be of service, in whatever small way i can. â â how i have yearned for the sound of your sweet voice. â â give me your support and i promise you, we will have ____ freed and returned to us unharmed. â â you have always been cunning. â â you will share all your plans and intentions with me before you act, and you will do nothing without my consent. do you understand? â â you should have been at the feast. there has never been a boar so delicious. they cooked it with mushrooms and apples, and it tasted like triumph. â â i hope he doesnât kill anyone important. â â need an escort? the talk is, the streets are dangerous. â â iâm terrified of my enemies, so i kill them all. â â lawless men are everywhere in this dark time, oh, yes. men with cold steel and colder hearts. â â did you miss me? â â youâll think of me every time you go to bed. then youâll get hard and youâll have no one to help you and youâll never be able to sleep unless you ⊠â â be quiet and kiss me. â

Eryis saw it in her eyes. The look that so many others gave her. Sheâd gotten used to it but sometimes it was hard to ignore the looks. When her imp brought her the parchment, the warlock took a deep breath and nodded. It looked like the imp was about to say something but the elf waved her hand and dismissed him. Heâd end up back home, probably going to end up snacking on whatever food was in her kitchen.Â
âI understand that,â she began softly. âAnd I canât blame you for it.â Not wanting to exasperate the priestessâs nerves, she didnât move from her spot but kept talking. âI just wanted to come and introduce myself. Iâm Amarnaâs sister. She told me about you. I wanted to say thank you for being so kind to her. She doesnât have very many friends- Iâm sure you noticed that she was painfully shy.âÂ
Eryis took slow steps toward the draenei and held out the parchment to her. âI can assure you that I am nothing like the warlocks that youâve been unfortunate enough to meet in your life.â  Â
A sudden relief washed over Urazi. With a simple gesture the demon was gone. Banished back to the hell it spawned from or away from this place. A slight slump of her shoulders gave away her previous tenseness. The priestess had battled many demons and fought with a handful of warlocks. But never did she linger around them for long. Like a young pup with its tail between its legs running back to itâs mother. But it was her aunt - Avran that she went too. However, her beloved aunt was not here. The priestess nod her head. Her gaze cast downwards until the name Amarna was mention.
Like a snap of fingers the priestess mood changed quickly. A real but still polite smile came to the Draeneiâs lips. The priestess adored Amarna. Even if they met only a handful of times. The young elf was terrible shy just as her sister said. Afraid of almost everything but so talented. Urazi knew she found her calling even if she doubted it.
Without hesitation the priestess took the note back from the warlock. With a gesture like blowing dust off an old tome, the written words vanished. Allowing Urazi to write as she pleased. Scribbling down quickly but still neat penmanship. It lacked the elegance of the letters written before but Urazi was excited. A minute or two went back before the priestess handed the parchment to her.
Reading:Â âThe Light shines in Amarna brightly and I was blessed to have met her. I do enjoy her company very much and I would like to apologize for my aunt Avranâs behalf. I was told that they have met battling a demon. She can be... herself.Â
And I would like to apologize for mine. I judged too soon and allowed my fear to cloud my judgement. It is a pleasure to meet you, Eryis. I am Urazi. But please, there were difficult things in my life as all beings. Time will heal mine as will courage. But I wish not to discuss them.â  Â
âI donât want you to be afraid of meâ ( from Eryis )
The Warlocks presence gave no comfort to the priestess. She was uncomfortable as she gazed at the âthingâ that caused much suffering to her people. It had taken her years for her fear of demons to be manageable. It may be bound but it still made her skin crawl.
Azure eyes glanced over at the Blood elf. A small, polite smile forced on her lips that was perhaps a little forced before she took hold of her enchanted pen and parchment in hand. A single finger was raised to give her a moment as the pen scratched at the paper and paused as she hesitated to give to the âthingâ that held out its hand to give to its master. The priestess made a mental note to burn the parchment later.
The note read:
âI do not trust the demons you summon.âÂ

âThinking you could defeat me. Me! The mistress of all evil!â
âNow, _____, youâre living in the past. This is the 14th century!â
âBesides, we canât. You know our magic doesnât work that way.â
âWhy you⊠you unreasonable, pompous, blustering old windbag!â
âOff he rides, on his noble steed, a valiant figure, straight and tall!â
âBut they say if you dream a thing more than once, itâs sure to come true.â
âWell, Iâm really not supposed to speak to strangers, but weâve met before.â
â______Â doesnât know anything about love, or kindness, or the joy of helping others.â

The sun had set an hour ago but she took in the sight of the floating city at night. The stars seemed closer that you could reach up and touch them. But the priestess knew better. Still she couldnât help but shake her head at the thought as she sat alone. But such musings was interrupted by a glow at the corner of her eye. She turned to look at it to see a floating purple orb weaving about as if searching for something. Â
The priestessâs head was cocked to the side when it seem to have âspottedâ her and drew near. Urazi knew it was magical from the familiar prickle on her skin when her aunt performed magic. After a moment she stood and held out her hand as it hovered over it as a image formed. First it was a swirl of color before it become a familiar face. It was than that she giggled at the image.
âHello.â Her words were silent as she gave a small wave.
