Some Minecraft babes.
Hi! I made something cool!
It’s a render of the Skyblock island! I think it looks really nice.
But that’s not all.
I actually made this all by hand.
As it turns out, making isometric renders of Minecraft structures, all while inexperienced and without proper equipment is incredibly, incredibly hard.
I just took a bunch of blocks from the Minecraft Wiki, read some tips in the Minecraft Wiki article on creating isometric renders, and went into it blind.
Look at how nice and aesthetically pleasing this sketch is! Too bad life isn’t always nice and aesthetically pleasing.
Here’s a timelapse of me making the render by hand. Notice how I struggled to orient the chest the right way, and how I struggled to make my signature at the bottom. I even struggled to make the grid that would act as graph paper so that I could place the blocks correctly!
(Sorry, but the timelapse flipped in the middle because I kept on changing the dimensions of the canvas.)
I could only work on my phone, and I have a poor grasp of how isometry works. If you wanted to do this, I’d recommend researching isometry and going into a basic art program with layers such as ibisPaint (the one I used), or if you’re lucky enough to use anything other than a phone, using either of the Wiki-recommended resources: Blender or Blockbench.
While I didn’t know this at the time of making this, this ended up taking a little over a week to complete.
This looks nice in the end, I learned a lot, but unless you’re great at math and mental visualization, you might want to play it safe.
Here’s one final transparent version:
Sorry to bother, but reblogs > likes; you can do both of you’d like
