i always start crying when i remember the fact that when john first encountered the flood he was terrified. and despite spartan 2s having repressed emotions, he nearly had a panic attack when the infection form dug into his skin.

which is also why despite being a yumeshipper i do not hate cortana (i don't like the ship tho) !! 😭 she saved john numerous times, without her he would not have survived that.

anyway, i saw a post on tiktok that reminded me he felt this way and i cried for like five minutes straight, my poor baby ☹️ literally the strongest man i know and love, both mentally and physically.

Because whether or not people realize it she is genuinely so much more complex than Michael ever THOUGHT of being, or Mike.

From being as young as a freshly new adult and being mind controlled and manipulated by Glitchtrap. Forced to kill victims trapped behind her own subconscious, and her personality changing and having zero control over her actions.

To being the daughter of a mass murderer who killed only for his personal pleasure and was his favorite even though she never wanted it, and forced upon to continue on the legacy unlike her brother. Stabbed by her Father, and had to lie to Mike because Abby and Mike’s bond reminds her of the constant pain her and Michael will NEVER be able to be like that.

It’s genuinely so sad and I’m so annoyed people don’t want to give her credit where credit is due.
