I keep thinking about Piano Jax.
When Pomni asked where the “real” Jax was, I interpreted it as an inaccurate observation; that all of the different versions of Jax were just different aspects of his personality.
I still believe that to an extent, but this one — the frightened, trapped, quiet one that only serves as background for the other personas — is the most raw, honest side of Jax; the part of Jax that, had he not let herself succumb to his fear and self-hatred, would have ultimately saved her from abstraction. Even after it was essentially all over, she still tried, offering Pomni a way to reach her as soon as he had the chance.
Jax wanted to reach out, wanted to ask for help, but his ego, dysphoria, internalized misogyny, and self-hatred continued to hold her back until the very end.

I LOVED this episode GOD BLESS YOU ALEX ROCHON his voice acting was AMAZING. Especially with his betrayed “Um-wait!-“ at the end BRO I ALMOST CRIED IT WAS SO GOOD. I love love love what they’ve done with caines character. And I love MY BOY KINGERRRR. Ragathaaaa 😭 butter Jax 💀 So much lore was explained in this episode that I can’t make any proper theories but I am so excited for the final episode in June. I love this show so much and I’m so excited to see its conclusion.
