Jareth the Goblin King is a portrait doll on Dollshe Pure (70cm), custom by me
Dollshe Craft is my favorite BJD firm. In my opinion, it is the best of all. You can make from the doll everything that comes to your mind and the result will be excellent. Many thanks to the sculptor for this opportunity. ^____^

Those close to me know that I have somehow lost my giant Soom mecha angel carrying bag. All the rest of my bags can only hold 60-65cm dolls, so I couldnât transport my big guys. I looked into replacing the bag from Soom but the shipping was so high. So I found this alternative and I wanted to share so other people can get inexpensive awesome doll bags. This is a Neewer photography bag. It is a whopping 10"x 10"x 35", clocking in at at 90cm long bag, and plenty or width for the broad shoulders. It comes with dividers, but I instead pressed those to the bottom, for extra support, then put a couple flattish doll box pillows in the bottom, though I really just need to make one long pillow, later. As you can see, Nick Fury fits comfortably and he is on the 72cm body. There would be enough room to put a camera at his feet, or a box of accessories, or spare clothes. Then I laid another doll box pillow on him and stacked another doll on top. Still plenty of room, you could probably cram one more. With smaller dolls you could fit a whole army. But then the bag would weigh an epic ton. So, my verdict is, 2 large dolls comfortably with room for accessories. Then the best part is that there are these adjustable straps that go around the top that cinch it snug after itâs been zipped. So any extra space at the top is cinched out and you have a very secure situation. It does have a shoulder strap, but as shown, because of gaps, it folds up the sides. With a hardier bottom, I suppose it wouldnât. But the carrying handles in the middle feel great. There is an outside pouch that is plenty big enough for shoes and your keys.
Another plus is that people will recognize it as a photography bag, so, less weird looks. The bad side is that thieves would assume it had photography stuff in it, so keep your eyes on it in public.
Overall, I have to say that itâs a better bag than the Soom bag, and since I never used the inside straps on the Soom bag, it feels like this one is better suited to my way of using it. The only downside is not using the shoulder strap, but there are ways to get around that too, like holding it more vertical, and the dolls loaded in the same direction, so the dolls are resting on their feet.
Itâs $38 with free shipping if you have Amazon prime.
I still wish I knew what happened to my other bag though.
Maybe my new favorite. Silver Holo with subtle blue-green. I love how it turned out around her eyes. #wol #bjd #seedarts
Finally made myself a logo for my photos :3 YAY! Iâve gotten so much of this done but I still have a ton more to do. I like sharing my WIP stuff with you guys! I still have a lot of refining to do to all the linework on his chest and back that is already painted. Make those lines nice and crisp! 5th Atelier Tutorial: No-Pattern Dolman-Sleeved Cardigan
Haha! I donât know what possessed me to sew tonight, or even document it. But I did anyway, so have a quick and dirty tutorial for a no-pattern dolman-sleeved cardigan (a.k.a. I just experimented and sewn randomly but it turned out better than expected so there XDDD)!
So cute!
5th Atelier Tutorial: No-Pattern Half-Dolman Top
Right! Time to get out of my lazy rut. Do a tutorial! Yes, yes, another dolman, I know. But hey, this oneâs only half-dolman! Someday weâll be free from my dolman craze! XDDD
The idea here is to play on our previous technique. Reduce the bodyâs width (from wrist-to-wrist down to elbow-to-elbow), then extend the armhole trimâs width. As in reaaaaaally extend.
Hopefully this one wonât be too confusing! Have fun with it! âĽ
NOTE: This works best on stretchy fabrics, so if youâre using other types, itâs best to give more allowance to the arms so the hands will fit. ^_^
Thank you for another lovely tutorial!

A never before posted pic of my âbounty hunterâ version of Vince, and a re-share of his first 5 expressions for those new to watching me. This is my last post in the "WIN A VINCE KIT CONTEST" Iâll leave the contest up and running until tomorrow morning around 8am my time (US eastern time) then im going to begin the rather large task of gathering and printing out all the names of all who entered for the drawing.
Remember, Iâll be announcing the winner on the 25th of June (next week)
Thanks to everyone who shared Vince and huge thanks to everyone who liked/shared everything else! :-D I work fairly isolated and its always a BIG morale boots when i see others take an interest in the unusual work i do.
thanks again all! :-)
The âFlash on dollsâ-guide.
Having a cheap camera is no excuse for making bad pictures. You CAN make good pictures with a simple point and click camera too, you donât need a expensive DSLR.
So you want to make a quick picture of your doll(s) in the evening/nighttime and in your room? Donât turn the flash off. The picture will get grainy and yellowish (and probably shaky) - but donât just shot and click.
Hold a mirror in front of the flash - and make sure that its close enough, otherwise youâll get one really light area and lots of dark on your picture.
The mirror will redirect the flashlight and let it bounce of your room walls - which leads to softer light that direct lightning. And voila, better picture! You may need to play a bit around with angles of the mirror - different angles of course lead to different lightning. And of course.. .the closer you are to the wall, the lighter the redirected light. I donât have experience with colored wall or rooms with little to no free wall, you need to test that ;)

Last Unicorn Screening Tour Seattle 2013 Sneak Peek on Flickr.
This lovely story was such an inspiration to me as a kid and I started my own story of Unicorns because of my love of this film. I just had to take little Amalthea with me! A group of friends and I went and saw this screening and got to do a meet/greet, signing, and QA session with the author of the book - Peter S. Beagle! Him and his staff/volunteers were really great. They did a fabulous job at making this a fun organized event! I plan on doing a full review and posting it soon! More pictures and some video snippets to come!
The tourâs info can be found here lastunicorntour.com/ Go! See it!
