Generation One: Childish Lovers

Chapter 9: Nanu's Surprise Son

Welcome back to the home of Dean and Nanu Magana who are throwing a little house party for their newest family member who was born in China. We'll get into the details of this in a moment but first help yourselves to some hamburgers and key lime pie and a nice glass of nectar that was recently made by their eldest son, Sean.

Meet Nanu's new son from China, Keung whose favorite color is 'spiceberry'. This is his new everyday outfit.

When Nanu returned to China to deliver the keystone to the Dragon's Cave to Abi Yat Sen that she had retrieved on her recent trip to France, there was a big surprise waiting for her. Apparently since Nanu's last visit in Shang Simla, one of the town's local paparazzi and acquaintance, Shen Phua had passed away in her absence and left her with a young boy whom he had adopted and named Nanu as his guardian/mother in the event of his death.

Keung playing chess while Nanu was out looking for some mercury metals so that the relic merchant, Zhang Hua could repair his miniature replica of the 'First Emperor's Tomb'.

This young boy's name is Keung and he was found wandering around the Dragon Springs fishing holes by Shen one day. After sharing his lunch with Keung and gaining his trust, Shen found out that he had just lost his mother to a drowning accident after she had fallen into one of the fishing ponds while trying to catch some dinner for the two of them. Shen couldn't just leave the boy out there by himself so he decided to take him to where he lived in a rooming house just outside the Shang Simla town limits and adopt Keung as his own. At this point of his life, Shen was into his senior years and knew that he didn't have much time left on this earth so while filling out the adoption papers he named Nanu as his future guardian (aka mother). After Shen passed away, his roommates did their best to care for Keung although they were busy most days with various jobs.

Kids grow up fast and here's Keung's teen photo. Since becoming a teenager, Keung has taken quite an interest in the martial arts skill and loves to practice on the training dummy or board breaker in his spare time and is now at level 4 in the skill

After delivering the Dragon Cave keystone to Abi Yat Sen for safekeeping, Nanu tried contacted her son and invited him to hangout with her at the base camp but naturally Keung was a little wary of being with someone who was practically a stranger even though she was now his mother. One of adult household members where Keung lived agreed to visit with Nanu at the lodge and the two of them became friends. After a few phone chats with Keung, he finally agreed to come and meet Nanu and after getting to know her a bit better, Keung agreed to return to Monte Vista with her so that he could get a good education and have a family to call his own.

When Nanu and Keung arrived home in Monte Vista, his new step-father Dean welcomed him with open arms and lots of stories. He even became fast friends with his new step-brother and sister, Sean and Deanna. Apparently Nanu had missed most of Keung's childhood life as he celebrated his teen birthday after only one day in grade school but still managed to pull off a B average. Keung takes after his late Chinese father's neurotic side but is very 'disciplined' and has a 'good' attitude. Since becoming a teenager, Keung is also showing signs of being a 'born salesman'. He will be taking his first trip to France in the near future to interview a local for an assignment his new high school history teacher gave him.

One last photo for now of Keung watching his mother practice on the training dummy after he earned his 'green belt'. Nanu is working hard to master the martial arts skill so that she can return to China to fulfill her destiny of defeating Dong Huo's mummy deep inside the Dragon Cave.

That's the main news for now and hope you all enjoy meeting Keung in the few photos that are included. Dean and Nanu also hope to have some photos of the renovations they've been doing on the house by adding a third floor which will have a large family/hobby area with two future bedrooms and a bathroom for any future family additions.

Wednesday Wonders

Hello Everyone,

Hope you're all having a great day. Here are some pictures from my most recent game play visit with Dean & Nanu Magana in Monte Vista that fit this month's Oc-Tober photo theme which include adventure and food. There will be a separate update introducing Nanu's surprise half-Chinese son by one of Shang Simla's background townies.

First, we have Dean Magana having his own adventure during his 5 day return trip to Shang Simla to deliver some jade gems to the country's special merchant, Abi Yat Sen to use in her side business. A couple of days later, Abi asked Dean to get her some more jade and since he couldn't find any on the countryside, Dean decided to check out the market caverns (above) to see if he could find some down there. Not only did he find the jade that Abi needed, Dean also found the final piece of the Chinese Zodiac Creature collection as shown below which is one of many rewarding moments of any adventure.

Nanu also had some adventures on her return trip to Egypt to continue her 'Business Abroad' jobs for her new contact, Samir Amin by finding the location of the 'Relic of Life' by hacking into the main computer of the Criminal Headquarters located in a secret underground lair under Samir's home that was apparently built long before the Amin household moved into the house. The photo below shows Nanu beginning her search for the 'Relic of Life' inside the Pyramid of the Sky'. Nanu ran out of travel time while searching for the third relic inside the Great Pyramid so will return at a later date to complete that mission and hopes to find some 'tiberium' gems for the Monte Vista science center.

Generation One: Funke Lunar Living

Chapter Six: More Funke Fun in France

Hello Everyone,

Hope you've all had a great weekend and are staying clear of the cold bug. Here are some photos from my recent visit (game play) with Jason Funke and his daughter, Jasmine that would fit this month's photo theme.

On the adventure side of things, Jason took a trip to China just as the winter season began to settle in Lunar Lakes to continue his quest to find Pangu's Axe for Lin Hua. However he could not complete the opportunity as his contact was no longer available. Now that both Lin & Zhang Hua have passed away as well, Jason will need to wait for someone else in China to have the urge get rid of the boulder at the top of Dragon Springs.

Jasmine gained her first level cooking skill when she made this autumn salad for her dinner.

In the meantime, the current special merchant, Liu Pei found someone to help Jason gain access to the Dragon's Cave who sent him to France to speak to a local there who directed him to search the lower level of the Landgraab Chateau where the key to the Dragon's Cave was hidden. After finding the key, Jason helped Gaston Dutiel gain access to a locked area in his basement and learned how to make nectar under the watchful eye of the nectar merchant, Laurent Durand.

Now for some 'adventure' photos to go with this month's theme. First up is Jason in the cellar of the Landgraab Chateau where he found the Dragon Cave key. Now he'll have to wait until he reaches level 10 of the martial arts skill to be able to use it.

Jasmine accompanied Jason on his trip to France and while her father was looking for the 'Dragon's Cave' key, she went fishing for the perfect frogs, snails, and crawfish. Over the course of their five day trip to France, Jasmine caught a perfect specimen of each type as well as perfect 'red herring'. She now has 10 out of 13 perfect fish in her aquarium back home and now only has three more types of fish to catch to complete her lifetime wish of "Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium'. Jasmine also helped local Jeannine Lambert with preparations for her special dinner by gathering the ingredients she needed which included frogs, steaks, lettuce, crocodiles, and plums for dessert.

Jeannine Lambert was surprised to get the crocodiles she needed for her dinner party so fast but Jasmine happened to have a couple of them in her inventory from her last trip to Egypt.

Guess this has turned into more of an update from Jason and Jasmine who invite you all to join them for a piece of 'meloire' grapes cobbler and a glass of nectar. There's also a healthy 'autumn salad' for those who need to keep the cold and flu germs at bay. Since the photos are ones of adventure and food this update also fits this month's Photo Challenge.

Last but not least is this snowman someone made across the street from Jason's home. Is it an actual alien snowman or a snowman that someone put an alien 'costume' on? Will leave that to our imaginations.

Thursday Terror

Hello Everyone,

Hope that you're all doing well and are staying safe from Hurricane Ian for those who live in that area. Here in Atlantic Canada, we were hit with nasty 'Hurricane Fiona'. Although my area just experienced heavy rain and winds, it hit the rest of the Atlantic provinces the hardest.

I've decided to take a break from writing my Sim stories for awhile but will share photos when events in my game fit the current monthly photo theme. Just a few minutes ago, Dana Darling and Sophie Rodgers (Darling Fairy Tales) just narrowly missed having their house hit by a meteorite although Sophie caught fire while putting out the flames in one of the several fires that started on the lot. Thankfully she made it to the shower in time to put herself out. Dana and Sophie worked together extinguishing the flames and managed to put out all of the fires in their yard and one of the greenhouses just as the firefighters arrived.

Since almost burning to death and nearly being killed by a meteor are pretty scary, I'm sharing these photos for Spooktember and they also fit 'samsims' theme 'Things that Go Bump in the Night'.

Generation One: Crockett Science

Chapter 8: Perfect Frontier Grad

Three cheers go out to Chi Crockett who has just returned home from university after graduating with her Fine Arts degree with a 'Perfect GPA'. Although she didn't see her parents, Jeremiah and Ling in the large audience, she was glad they were able to attend and watch their daughter received the highest honors in her class. Chi invited her boyfriend, Raheem Cyr as well but unfortunately he was unable to due to other commitments back home.

Although the family has gone to bed after a busy day, Chi has left her most recent university pictures in her laptop's photo album for your viewing pleasure. Please make yourselves at home and enjoy a drink from the bar or to some nectar that is located in the nectar racks on the third floor balcony.

Chi decide to have some fun before her busy second semester of classes began and fulfilled a dare she received from a recent party to 'find a dumpster and go diving in it.' She found an uncommon butterfly and a rug.

Later that day, Chi was challenged to a game of juice pong by Ludo Vicco who was hosting a party at the campus Fraternity House before the second semester classes began. She managed to keep herself from being arrested this time but one of her roommates at the dorm wasn't so lucky after he ran around streaking for too long.

These next three photos were taken during Chi's class activity this semester. Her musings inspired these sketches below.

After studying hard the afternoon before her finals, Chi enjoyed one last party where Ludo helped her do a keg stand to complete a dare.

After acing her final exams, Chi graduated the next day with top honors and a perfect GPA. In the photo below, Chi is on her way to catch a taxi that would take home to Twinbrook.

Chi would like to thank you all for following her progress at university and hopes you've had as much fun as she did. She now looks forward to spending time with her boyfriend, Raheem Cyr and starting a new career as she continues her quest to becoming an 'Illustrious Author' and hopes to have a family someday, too. The Crockett family looks forward to your next visit as Chang continues his high school journey and Jeremiah hopes to return to China to complete his mission to defeat the mummy of Dong Huo that is located in the depths of the Dragon's Cave.

Generation One: Childish Lovers

Chapter 8: Nanu in France

Good Evening and welcome to another newsletter from the Nanu Magana and her family. It's been a busy week in Monte Vista with various trips to China and France for business and other reasons. Dean and Nanu's daughter, Deanna began grade school as well and is already a straight A student. Their son, Sean attended his first high school prom and is now in romantic relationship with one of his classmates, Tenisha Shepherd. Sean has also decided that his lifetime wish is to be 'Living in the Lap of Luxury'.

Now let's take a look into Dean and Nanu's family album as we check out their most recent adventures.

First, Dean and Nanu would like to wish their daughter, Deanna a very happy birthday. Deanna loves the color 'turquoise' and is friendly but has an 'evil' side to her as she secretly loves to see others in misery. She is also 'never nude' and wears her swimwear in the shower. After singing to her 'special doll', Denny, Deanna has decided that she wants to be a 'Vocal Legend' someday.

At the beginning of the most recent sim week in Monte Vista, Nanu returned to China to finish her previous task of finding a special relic for Zhan Su that was hidden inside the ancient monk Annex of the Resolute Fist located inside the Temple Heaven. Here, Nanu is moving one of the three statues in place in the mirror-image room.

After returning the relic to Zhan, the special merchant Abi Yat Sen sent her to Xi Yuan to get the info needed to find away inside the part of the Dragon's Cave that houses the tomb of Dong Huo. Xi Yuan then directed Nanu to her husband Li Yuan who had knowledge of where the key was. After speaking with Li, Nanu found out the key was somewhere in France and gave her the name of a contact there who could help.

Before beginning her search for the Dragon Cave keystone at the Chateau du Langraab, Nanu found a treasure chest at the very top of the third set of stairs and found the camouflaged floor switch that turned of the electricity traps that she activated when opening the chest.

After finding the keystone, things were a little quiet on the adventure front for a day so Nanu decided to explore the area under the boulders she smashed during her last trip to France. This tomb is known as Tuatha's Garden and has about four levels that eventually exits on the little island located in the middle of the Champs Les Sims river. This is one of the first rooms Nanu explored. She was able to explore most of the second level before returning to camp to rest and after helping Aimee Lefebvre the next day with her mystery, Nanu spent the next two days of her trip exploring the rest of this beautiful hidden garden.

Nanu then returned home and rested for a couple of days before heading to France to find the key to the Dragon's Cave. She spoke with Jules Fournier and Gustave Delven who gave her a key to access the part of the Chateau du Landgraab where she would find the keystone to Dong Huo's tomb one of the cellar rooms. After completing this mission, Nanu also helped Aimee Lefebvre solve the mystery of the disappearance of a young girl at the Chateau by finding some important papers hidden in the late Admiral's study. Before her eight day trip to France ended, Nanu also helped the Dutiel family gain access to the secret garden area in the basement of their home.

In between Nanu's two trips, her son Sean was sent to France by his history teacher to interview a local for a cultural assignment. While he was there, Sean helped the nectar merchant, Jules Fournier by gathering materials needed to improve one of his nectar making machines. Jules then offered some nectar making lessons to Sean who is now on his last task of making a 'very nice' bottle of nectar at home before returning to France at a later date.

Here are a couple of pictures from Sean's trip to France beginning with him asking Colette Bonnet for a special part that Jules Fournier needed to improve his nectar making machine. Below Sean is squishing Cherimola Blan grapes as he learns to make nectar for the first time

Dean took his first trip to China to meet some locals for an upcoming secret international spy mission. While in China, Dean helped Ho Sung Kim by gather the materials he needed to build a special telescope to study the Dragon's Cave at night with and then asked some of the locals to keep their light's off for him that night so that Ho Sung could do his studies.

That's the main news for now. After getting some rest, Nanu plans to deliver Dragon's Cave key to Abi Yat Sen for safekeeping until she's able to complete her mission.

Chapter Six: Funke Fun in France

Welcome back for another visit with Jason Funke and his daughter, Jasmine at their home in Lunar Lakes. Hope you've all brought some warm clothes as winter is just settling in after a busy autumn. Please help yourselves to some hot chocolate and a piece of Jason's homemade pumpkin pie while he loads the photos from his and Jasmine's separate trips to France.

Jason also took a trip to Egypt to finish up the 'Business Abroad' missions for Salah Kamel by finding the 'Relic of Eternity' for her inside the Great Pyramid. After seeing his first mummies in the last room of the tomb, Jason hopes to see more in future trips to the Simhara so that he can fight and defeat at least one of them.

Let's get right into the latest family photos with descriptions and see the fun adventures Jason and his daughter enjoyed during the autumn season in Lunar Lakes.

Jasmine took her first solo trip to France to interview a local for an assignment that was given to her by her history teacher. She chose to interview the local General Merchant, Estelle Fouchier after returning the baseball she lost at the Forgotten Burial Ground. In the photo above, Jasmine is in the middle of helping the relic merchant, Jean-Luc Pivert solve the mystery of the weird noises at the museum on the last day of her trip.

After laying the deceased curator's remains to rest in the Champs Les Sims Cemetery, Jasmine reported that the mystery of the museum noises had been solved. Despite being excited to see Jasmine for her celebrity status, Jean-Luc is really one of the most unhappy locals in the town especially when he has to work at the relic store because of his strong dislike for art.

Shortly after Jasmine returned home from France, Jason returned to Egypt to find the third ancient relic for Salah Kamel. It took most of Jason's five day trip to find the 'Relic of Eternity' in the depths of the Great Pyramid.

After Jason returned home from his trip to Egypt, he and Jasmine enjoyed a fun-filled Spooky Day together. Jasmine began the day by visiting their Langraab Clone neighbors for some 'trick or treats' and was rewarded with a candy bar. She dressed up as a diver.

While Jasmine was 'trick or treating', Jason attended a costume party hosted by his co-worker and friend, Len Sekemoto. He dressed up as a thief while Len wore a zebra costume. Jason left early to join his daughter in the next picture for an apple bobbing contest at the Fall Festival.

Jasmine emerged victorious as having bobbed out the most apples.

After reaching the top of his science career on the last day of the work week, Jason took a trip to France to speak solve a puzzle for one of his friends, Petre Stewart. When he arrived in France, Jason was able to speak with Jeannine Lambert to complete the mission. While he was in France, Jason helped the local Special Merchant, Albert Fourchier with his research into the history of nectar making in Champs Les Sims by retrieving some documents from the Landraab Chateau library room after disarming some floor traps.

Last but not least is a father/daughter photo of Jason training his daughter in the athletic skill as she uses the dance bar.

Generation 2: Darling Fairy Tales

Second Tale: Autumn Adventures

Dana Darling and I, Sophie Rodgers would like to welcome you all back to their home in Lucky Palms for some 'Spooky Day' celebrations. Come dressed in your best costumes and enjoy some great holiday food prepared by Dana. For those of you who are interested here's some fairy dust so that you can join me in my garden fairy house for a fun 'Fairy Tea Party'. Looks like Dana has finished loading our most recent photos on her laptop and is leaving it on the kitchen table so that you can all look at them in between the party games.

First up is this lovely picture of a nice rainbow that Dana and I saw after one of the many rainfalls during this autumn season.

The next two photos are from Dana's trip to France when she delivered one of her books to Berthe Girard who had been wanting to add one of her novels to her collection. While on her five day trip there, Dana helped local Jolene Montague by taking the picture she needed for her passport. Dana also returned Jean-Luc Beaumont's lost baseball that the special merchant had been hanging on to for some reason. Even though she didn't have to, Dana decided to explore the Forgotten Burial Ground tomb anyways since there were no other exciting adventures at the time. Dana hopes to get better missions on her next trip when she delivers a book on the 'History of Nectar' making she found in the caretaker's cottage to Caroline Girard who is the town's special merchant.

No matter where she goes, Dana likes to draw in her sketchbook. Wonder what inspiration she's getting in one of the local inn's bathroom

Back home, both Dana and Sophie enjoyed a fun Spooky Day outing to the festival where Dana won the apple bobbing contest. In the photo below, Sophie was triumphant in the blueberry pie eating contest and is sporting a blue-stained face. After collecting their prizes, the two BFF's took a greeting card picture together with Sophie still wearing her blueberry pie face.

If you ever need a soundproof place to sleep, Dana recommends their reconstructed sarcophagus or a fairy house, since neither she nor Sophie heard the burglar alarm go off and slept through almost the whole ordeal. Thankfully this nice police officer arrested the would-be thief before he could take anything.

With the winter season coming on, Sophie got herself a new winter outfit to wear outside. Dana is waiting until the first snowfall to get her winter clothes out.

Dana ended the autumn season by carving one of the pumpkins she picked at the festival.

This almost wraps things up for our visit, it's time for Dana and I (Sophie) to head to bed for the night. We leave you with our postcard picture from the Fall Festival. Have a great weekend.

Sims 3: Wild Darlings

Wild Semester

Hello and welcome back to the Henry Hall dormitory where Korbin is living for his two semesters at university. Korbin just finished his three midterm exams and passed them with flying colors. Here are a few photos of Korbin's activities in his first semester of studying Fine Arts.

First up is this beautiful shot of the sun setting just before the rising of the full moon in the middle of the week.

Generation Two: Silver Wealth

Chapter Four: Family Time Wealth

Greetings from the pirate town of Barnacle Bay where Andrew and Jessica just spent another quiet week at home with their little family. They hope you're all having a great week with family and friends as the memories made with them is what really matter in the long run.

Just a quick update with some photos to share with you of the most recent Sim week in the Bell family. Andrew and Jessica have some exciting news to share with you first as they have just welcomed their second child into the world, a son whom they named Bartholomew. Little Bartholomew is now a cute toddler who shows signs of being a genius but is a little 'neurotic' like his uncle Jessie. Their daughter, Andria is doing well in school but spends most of her time indoors since she's like her mother and hates being outside.

Other than work and welcoming a new family member, work has been fairly mundane for both Andrew and Jessica, although she had most of it off for maternity reasons. Throughout the week, Dr Andrew held both a vaccination and free health clinic at two of the town's graveyards. Guess this is to remind the locals that they will end up in one of these two place if their health is not taken care of. Jessica managed to master the handiness skill and just needs to reach level 10 of her logic skill to complete her 'Tinkerer' lifetime wish.

Last but not least, here are a couple photos of Dr. Andrew Bell in action. Here he's giving a 'horse-sized' pill to his friend who suddenly had some nausea.

Generation Two: Business Bells

Week 4: French Business

Jessie and Abbie Bell welcome you all back for another quick visit as they share with you their recent adventures and accomplishments. Please join them in a belated birthday dinner for Jessie and their daughter, Josie. There's Jessie's favorite 'falafel', autumn salad and birthday cake on the buffet table, so help yourselves. Party games include a golf swing challenge and instead of 'Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Donkey, there's a dart board downstairs to see who can get their dart closest to the middle after being spun around. No blindfolds though as we don't want anyone becoming the 'dartboard'.

Meet Jessie and Abbie's daughter, Josie who is now already for school. This is her 'formal' outfit. If you haven't guessed her favorite color is 'orange' and she's become quite the 'perfectionist' and likes to see all the beds made. Her father has been too busy traveling and working to get his new clothes but should have a new outfit to show next time.

In other family news, Robbie has attended his first high school prom at the Hidden Springs High School and is now in a 'romantic interest' relationship with one of his classmates, Carlotta Shue. During his spare time this week, Robbie was able to find time to go fishing and catch a few lizards for his 'zoologist' lifetime wish. Lizards seem to be Robbie's favorite critter since he most often wishes to catch them for his collection. He now has five little critters out of the twenty required to complete his lifetime wish although one of them got loose and is hiding somewhere around the house. After celebrating her childhood birthday, Josie is now in grade school and is already one of the top students in her class.

This is Robbie who went fishing after doing his homework one day. His favorite color is 'pink'.

Jessie had a busy week in his business career but the hard work has paid off and he is now 'Chairman of the Board' with one promotion to go to reach the top. So far, Jessie's midlife is going well since he's already completed and surpassed his lifetime goal of becoming CEO of a Mega Corporation'. The old saying, 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again,' prove true for Jessie as it took him several attempts to finally create a 'great' bottle of nectar to complete the lessons Yves Bernard, who is France's nectar merchant was giving. After delivering the nectar to Yves, Jessie helped the Special merchant, Gustave Delven with his research into the disappearance of a young woman by finding some hidden documents at the Landgraab Chateau. He is now in the midst of helping Aimee Lefebvre prepare a big dinner and after resting for a few days, has to travel to Egypt to catch a couple of crocodiles for her.

Here are a couple of pictures from Jessie's time exploring the second part of the Landgraab Chateau. He also found out that flushing the toilet in the second floor bathroom disables the hallway traps. (Not matter how long one plays a game there is always something new to learn)

Last but not least, Jessie would like to congratulate his lovely wife, Abbie for reaching the top of the celebrity and now has her five stars. Although Abbie is famous, she prefers to work at the grocery store and tend to her garden especially now that she's a master gardener.

Jessie had some free time in between adventures, so he decided to explore the 'Smuggler's Cavern' part of the Forgotten Burial Ground.

Generation 2: Frontier Aquarium

Week 4: Frontier Success

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back to another quick visit with Eliseo and Jemina Gary who are enjoying a nice quiet weekend after a busy week of dreams coming true, travels, prom night, and a couple of birthdays.

Jemina got some new outfits for her birthday including this everyday one.

This is Jemina's 'perfect' jellyfish that completed her lifetime wish.

First please Eliseo as he wishes a very Happy Birthday to his lovely wife, Jemina who has reached her midlife years. Although she's experiencing a crisis that is associated with these mid years, Jemina is extremely happy after completing her lifetime wish of owning the 'Perfect Aquarium' after catching a 'perfect' quality jellyfish to finish off her collection. Now Jemina can sell the remaining fish she catches to advance in her career as an angler.

Jemiah is now all ready for school.

Birthday wishes also go out to Eliseo and Jemina's youngest son, Jemiah whose name is a variation of Jeremiah who is his grandfather. Despite having the absent-minded and good traits, Jemiah is not so good when it comes to acquiring something he wants by showing signs of having a kleptomaniac sign to him. We'll have to wait and see how many 'things' that are not his that Jemiah comes home from school with. His parents hope that he'll do the right thing and return whatever he takes unless it's dirty dishes.

Eliseo took a return trip to Egypt to continue his 'Business Abroad' adventures with Sekhmet Hawas. Since he had passed away in Eliseo's absence, he had to wait a couple of days before Fatima Amin contacted him to continue his previous task which was to find some flame fruit inside the Pyramid of the Burning Sands. By the time Eliseo delivered the fruit, his trip was almost over so will return at a later date to ask Helmi Hosni about an ancient book that Fatima is interested in.

Poor Elijah had one of those infamous mood swings on the day of his prom. He got in trouble for trying to put a whoopie cushion on one of the chairs in the downstairs hallway twice so his mother put him in a time out. Things got better for him at the prom with his date.

The last big news of the family's fourth week in Sunlit Tides is that there eldest son, Elijah now has a girlfriend. When he was in grade school, Elijah became friends with one of his classmates, Elosie Carnegie who lives with her parents and brother in Sunlit Tides. She became a teenage a couple of days before the high school prom and asked Elijah to be her date. Elijah and Elosie had a great time at the prom together where she kissed him for the first time and asked to be her steady boyfriend to which he agreed.

Meet Elijah's prom date, Elosie Carnegie who according to Elijah is 'excitable' but neurotic and 'can't stand art'. These things don't matter to Elijah as he has since fallen in love with her.

Chapter 7: University Frontiers

Hello everyone and welcome back for another quick visit with Chi Crockett who just finished her first semester at university. She's living in the Malan Hall residence with seven other students including her new plantSim friend, Shea Hollis. Anyways here are some photos from Chi's first semester at university studying Fine Arts. She aced her midterms and is now on the Dean's List.

Some of you have met Professor Madeleine Noetal in Dana Darling's story who was her professor at university and at the time was a werewolf. Apparently she found a cure for that affliction (aka: this game save) and is fully human at this time. Looks like she's teaching her students how to draw a freezer bunny face and butterflies.

Last but not least we have Chi having some fun at Ludo Vicco's 'juice kegger' party. Since Chi didn't want to risk getting arrested this time for streaking, she kept her clothes on.

Generation One: Childish Lovers

Chapter 7: Nanu in Shang Simla

It's the end of another long sim week in Monte Vista where Dean and Nanu Magana and their children are settling down for another night's sleep. Before she goes to bed, Nanu is updating their family legacy blog about their recent adventures another news.

As Nanu types away, she wonders to herself where has the time gone as the Saturday night clock strikes midnight to signal that eight Sim weeks have come and gone since she moved to the Spanish sim town of Monte Vista. "No wonder they say that 'time flies when you're having fun." Now back to the task at hand to update our friends with photos and tales of the most recent events in our family. Dean and our son, Sean who recently celebrated his teen birthday and is looking forward to his prom in a couple of days, also send along their greetings and well wishes to everyone.

Success inside the Temple of Heaven. Nanu finding the famous, Pangu's Axe. Now she just had to find her way safely out and completely explore the rest of the tomb.

Let's begin by wishing young Sean a belated Happy Birthday as he recently grew into a handsome young teenager. After watching how sloppy his father gets (as per his 'slob' trait) when he leaves his dirty clothes on the floor or dirty dishes on the counter, Sean has decided that he likes things 'neat' and tidy and now makes sure that all of the beds are made, laundry picked up and dirty dishes are in the dishwasher along with anything else that needs a good cleaning. Our son hasn't decided what his lifetime goals are, yet but Dean and I know that Sean will succeed in anything he sets his mind to. We also look forward to our daughter, Deanna starting school in a few days and hope that her friendly side overshadows her 'evil' tendencies. Talk about having a dual personality, so it would be advisable to stay on Deanna's nicer side.

Nanu beginning her mission to find the special relic for Lee Yao inside the Hot Springs Cave

During my last day off from work, I returned to China to continue the mission that Lee Yao had given me on my previous trip to find the famous Pangu's Axe that was hidden deep inside the Temple of Heaven. Legend says that with this axe, explorers and break the toughest obstacles like big boulders that sometimes block entrance to caves or treasures. After finding the axe, Lee had me break the boulder he hated the most that was blocking a dive well that was located at the top of the Hot Springs Resort. He also wanted me to explore the tomb there to find a special relic. This involved diving into several dive wells and disarming many fire and steam traps along my journey to the bottom level where I completed my mission. On the bright side, piles of rubble and boulders are no longer a problem for our family members when exploring tombs in China, Egypt or France.

Since it was late at night when, Nanu completed the Hot Springs Cave, she decided to do some late night fishing in one of the ponds at the nearby Dragon Springs. She managed to catch several dragon fish.

During my eight day trip China, Abi Yat Sen contacted me regarding the 'meditation' statue she was building that would help solve the Dragon's Cave mystery was finished and that I needed to do the customary 'Pilgrim's Walk' carrying it to see if indeed I was the quote 'Chosen One' to go inside the Dragon's Cave someday to solve the mystery. After visiting the Scholar's Garden, Temple of Heaven and the top of the Dragon's Cave, I had a chilling vision of an evil mummy deep inside that I would need to defeat someday after becoming a master in the martial arts skill. In the meantime Abi is still trying to figure out away for me to get inside. Besides doing some fishing, I also helped Zhan Su recover a special relic from the Monk Retreat part of the Temple of Heaven and will return at a later date to complete the next part of the 'In Aid of the Monks' mission.

Nanu just emerged from the dive well inside the ancient Monk section of the Temple of Heaven as she looks for a special relic for Zhan Su.

At the end of his work week, Dean also took a trip to France at the request of his boss. Apparently there have been growing suspicions in the police department's special undercover division that contraband was being smuggled into the country hidden inside bottles of nectar by black market French merchants. He managed to find a secret area in the basement of the French nectary that contained extra bottles of nectar for him to just take. Dean also found one at the bottom of a dive well he found behind the stairs in the nectary. While he was in France, Dean helped drum up some extra business for the local relic shop, asked Alain Lefebvre to take one of the local single ladies out on a date and took a local picture of something new for Gerard Morel.

Dean and I would like to wish you all a happy weekend as I (Nanu) am about to turn out the light for the night. I've saved the best news for last which is that Dean and I have both completed our lifetime wishes. Dean is now an International Super Spy while my 'Perfect Private Aquarium' is now complete with 13 perfect fish of different species are now swimming around in my three home-sized aquariums.

Dean brought Pangu's Axe with him and used it to smash the boulders that hide the entrance to Tuatha's Garden. Someone in the family can explore the tomb on a future trip. He found two valuable cut opal gems under the boulders.

Thursday Troubles

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great and trouble free day. The only 'trouble' part of this post is my first Sim photo for the 'Spooktober' from my recent game play visit with Dean & Nanu Magana of my Egyptian Roots household. Will have an update for them later.

I know you were looking for creations but I generally take 'as-it-happens' photos in my game and thought this one would fit. It was taken during Nanu's return trip to China to find Pangu's Axe for Lee Yao so she could get rid of the boulder at the top of Hot Springs Retreat. This zombie paparazzi is pretty 'spooky' looking with his green skin, bulging eyes and distorted facial expression. He's looking to eat Nanu's brains but she's too busy fishing in the ponds at Dragon Springs to pay attention.

Sims 3: Funke Lunar Living

Chapter 5: Funke Teenager

Jason and Jasmine welcome you all back to their home nestled in the moon crater town of Lunar Lakes. Grab yourselves a drink from the bar and enjoy a plate of stir-fry that Jason just cooked in anticipation of your arrival. Jasmine, who is now a lovely young teenager, is loading their most recent picture disc into the VCR so that you and view the photos they took while on a trip together to Egypt along with a few from earlier in the sim week.

Here's a nice father/daughter photo as Jasmine enters a pyramid for the first time with Jason as he begins his search for the Relic of Life inside the Pyramid of the Sky.

This is a not-so-happy photo of Jasmine as she has been put in a timeout for trying to prank the sink while her father was standing right there making breakfast. Maybe Jason should be in a timeout, too, after his 'daredevil' side showed itself when he was playing with the fire pit.

Let's begin by wishing Jasmine a very happy birthday as she grew up into a beautiful teenager who is much loved by her father. Jason is proud that his daughter has ground into a good young lady (except for the odd mood swing). She still loves the outdoors and gets quite excited when catching that 'perfect' fish but is sometimes absent-minded and forgets what she's about to do. Jasmine attended her first prom the day after their trip to Egypt where she was voted 'Prom Queen'. Jason also has some big news in that he has completed his lifetime wish of becoming a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder and has maxed his gardening skills.

Jasmine accompanied her father on a five sim day trip to Egypt where Jason continued the 'Business Abroad' missions for Salah Kamel. While her father was busy on these jobs, Jasmine spent most of her free time fishing and managed to catch twelve mummy fish but only one was of 'nice' quality. She hopes to return another time to catch a 'perfect' one for her aquarium back home. Jasmine had a great trip despite getting into a bit of trouble while having a mood swing for trying to prank the outdoor sink.

Jasmine diving into her first dive well as she follows her father to the next room inside the Pyramid of the Sky. She then had her first night sleeping in a tomb with her father.

During their family trip to Simhara, Jason's first mission was to find an ancient book containing information about three of the country's most valuable relics that Salah was trying to keep safe from falling into the wrong hands. He was able to find this book in the lowest level of the Ancient Library that was hidden under the Madbouli home. Salah then directed Jason to collect some mummitonium that would be needed for a bribe when he infiltrated the local Criminal Headquarters that was located under the home of Samir Amin and his family. Jason also convinced the local food merchant to give him the 'Relic of the Sun' which is the first of the three relics. After delivering the 'bribe', Jason was directed to hack the main computer for the location of the second relic and after two tries, he headed to the Pyramid of the Sky where Jasmine joined her father to help him search for this relic. Jason will return at a later date to deliver the Relic of Life to Salah and hopefully find the third one.

Saved this photo for last of Jasmine trying to charm a snake early in their trip. The snake wasn't that charmed, though as it bit Jasmine's hand instead of coming out.

Thursday Thoughts

Hello Everyone,

Hope that you've all had a great day and best wishes to all those while will be going back to school next or already have. Here are a couple of last pictures for the August 'Into the Woods' theme. These are from yesterday's game with Jason & Jasmine Funke. Will have an update from them a little later.

It seems that Jasmine's imaginary friend, Jackson as been busy setting practical joke traps again. Jason found one in the shower that turned his hair a bright yellow. Better keep your eyes open for tricks from the camp prankster. There haven't any further pranks since Jasmine put her imaginary friend doll back into her inventory when she became a teenager. She was tired of listening to Jackson argue with himself all the time.

What's a camping trip without some fishing? Here's Jasmine fishing in the river while on a trip with her father to Egypt while he continued his 'Business Abroad' adventures for Salah Kamel.

Sometimes pillow fights happen at camps and here's Jason having a fun one with fellow explorer, Sun Young Kim who is from China.
