Pico and Silvia|| Cat and mouse
Pico studied her target carefully, waiting for the opportune moment. As soon as the woman turned her head, Pico sprung into action. She slipped past her, looking directly in front of her.
She slipped her hand into the bag, able to locate the purse within a single moment. As soon as her hands were around it, she started to speed off.
The purple haired girl fan as fast as she could, purse in hand and guilty conscious left behind with the woman. Hopefully she had gotten away with it.
She turned her head and gasped, realising that she was being chased. Seems like she really hadn’t. She tried not to panic as she ran.
Suddenly her plot was foiled. She had tumbled over a crooked stone in the street. It was the end of the road, she was caught, ruined, destroyed!
She closed her eyes, ready for the performance of her life. “Go on then! Take it back! Throw me to the dogs!.. I’ll just have to grow hungry, left to die on the streets!”

Silvia didn’t realize what had occurred until a single moment after it had happened. One moment she had been walking, her small blue purse strapped around her shoulder, when suddenly a small, purple haired girl in a pronged witch hat ran by and snatched her wallet straight from the bag!
“H-hey! Thief!” Silvia cried out, her tail flaring out in that moment as she ran after the girl, intent now on getting her money back. There was like, twenty three dollars in there! She needed that money!
The chase continued for barely a minute before the girl squeaked and had tripped over a loose stone in the street. Silvia, afraid of falling to a similar fate, halted her chase and watched as the girl tumbled and fell a few feet away.
Once she was certain that the thief was temporarily stopped, Silvia approached the girl.
“I just want my money back.”
Pico groaned, there was no way that Dolly WOULDN’T find out about this. Unless she could get away, she was going to be in a lot of trouble. She put on the puppy faced look, trying to look as innocent as possible. “But I need it more! I need food!”
She didn’t dare move off of the ground, in case the cat lady tried to follow her. “I’ll die or else!” Her lip quivered as she held the bag to her chest, fake tears welling in her eyes. She was a master at this rouse.
In truth, she needed it for her sister. She wanted to get her something nice, so it wasn’t just Pico that was getting everything. If doing that meant she had to ‘earn’ her money this way, then she’d have to run much faster next time. “Just let me go?”
Silvia stared down at the strange, short jester-suited girl. God….did she have to use that puppy face with such skill!? Darn it…Silvia couldn’t handle the saddened cuteness! Her stare wavered as her ears began to lower; slowly breaking from the tears that welled up in Pico’s eyes.
“F-fine! J-just give me my money back. I’ll buy you something, alright? But don’t expect anything kind from me! You’re still just a thief” Silvia told Pico, and stuck her arm out for Pico to return the stolen bag.
“And you should find other ways to get money. Stealing is the worst, you know?”
Dammit, this had backfired badly. She didn’t need her to buy anything, if she bought anything for her, then she’d know it wasn’t for her. The cat lady would probably end up getting her food.
She’d have to play along for now, and either find some other schmuck to rob or con money out of. She faked a smile, hoping that she wouldn’t guess she was faking it.
“Thank you!” She finally jumped up off of the ground, brushing the dirt from her skirt. “You better buy me food though!” She crossed her arms, somewhat defensive about being told off.
“What else is a 12 year old supposed to do for money though! This is actually the best way!” a smug grin nearly placed itself on her lips, nearly betraying her act. “But that doesn’t matter!” Instead of giving her the purse, she grabbed the black haired woman’s hand, pulling her to the nearest cafe.
The cafe was a tiny place, being an open-air eatery with most of its tables and chairs standing outside beneath a large awning. Silvia was more or less unwillingly lead to the counter, where a large glass container showed the cafe’s assortment of cakes and pastries.
“Anything look good?” Silvia asked the little girl, before glancing up at the three large blackboard menus that had their contents written in chalk. Silvia then took her purse away from Pico, and quickly took out a few bills, and then handed them over.
“Here. Just choose what you want, alright? It’s better that you choose.” Silvia sighed and crossed her arms. Why did she have to get brought into these messes? Helping her own thief out! This cat-girl was just way too kind. Of course, it was in her blood. Her mother was just the same. She was too generous, often letting customers keep tabs instead of actually requiring payments. Nevertheless, they made ends meet.
