Yet Another Goth
Sophie's arrival is understood by Simavia Today to have been an autonomous decision made by her mother, Cassandra, much to the surprise of our mysterious Obherlords. This is, of course, a play right out of doting grandmother, Bella Goth's, playbook.
Bella herself had not one, but three autonomous pregnancies which resulted in an additional four children! Forcing her husband, polymath Mortimer Goth, to make extensive alterations to their historic home, Ophelia Vila.
Must be something in the water ... the Villa's plumbing is notoriously dodgy.
Eyewitnesses report that the Pancakes have welcomed both a new child, Robert, and, more worryingly, a Cowplant (Blueberry) into their lives.
Readers will no doubt be aware that this growing Cowplant fad has already claimed the lives of numerous simavians. We worry that our beloved Bob may go one culinary adventure too far ...

Astro's Turf War
Earlier today, a fight erupted in the Scott-Lee home between heir apparent, Astro (teen), and a visitor, Freddie Aguilera (teen). Neither party is thought to be seriously injured, though the Scott-Lee heir definitely lost the bout.
It's not known for certain what lead to this shocking outburst, but witnesses (including Astro's father, Travis) say it looked like a completely unprovoked attack by Astro on Freddie.
Sources close to the instigator claim that Astro has become increasingly volatile of late due to the frustration he feels at still having to share a room with his two brothers, despite the family having room and money enough to expand their accommodation.
Others say, "He's just a mean sim of a cowplant!"
Simavia Today will keep an eye on the situation as it evolves.

Catching up with the Holidays
Autumn Holiday: she grew up in a cheerful home filled with laughter and good cooking and plenty of love and attention, wanting for nothing except a sibling.
Now a young adult, Autumn knows the chance for a sibling is long gone and perhaps it's time to plan a life for herself filled with more achievable wants. She has a number of ideas but, driven as she is for absolute perfection, can she succeed?
Summer Holiday and Mitchell Kalani met at work when they were both lowly Line Cooks working for the same restaurant chain. He made her laugh and she encouraged him to pursue his Joke Star dreams; she made him excellent home cooked meals and his stand-up routines became a key ingredient in the success of her dinner and house parties.
Spurred on by Summer's belief in his talent (and her delicious cooking), Mitchell has finally made it big on the comedy circuit. But will his star ever shine as bright as that of comedy legend Johnny Zest … ? And, with everything one could want for a life worth living, does he even really care? It may even be time to retire and put his feet up …
They both consider their daughter, Autumn, to be their greatest success.

Coming of age this week ...
Valentina Lothario, only child (that we know about) of Simavia's most famous playboy, Don Lothario, and 'heart crusher', Nina Caliente.
With no small amount of trepidation, we look forward to seeing how genes will out in this young heir.
Robyn Huntington, once (briefly) heir presumptive of the Huntington Dynasty, but now a mere spare. We hope she can make a good marriage or something, lest we lose interest in her future.
For now she remains in the family home in order to help care for younger sibling, Edward. Such drudgery!
Lamar Caliente, youngest surviving son of his late parents, musician Katrina Caliente and her husband Eddie Landry (the programming whiz suspected of several lucrative incursions into Landgraab Systems).
On coming of age, Lamar took the traditional S20,000 out of family coffers and moved into Plumbob Alexson's, 'Home for Wastrels, Spares and Retirees'. We don't know what that says about his future.

Kim-Lewis Newling
Alice Spencer-Kim and husband, Eric Lewis, are pleased to announce the birth of their third grandchild, Vivian Kim-Lewis. The baby is also welcomed (tiredly) by her parents, Olivia Kim-Lewis and Alexander Goth, and (grudgingly) by siblings, Spencer and Denise.
New Landry Heir
John Landry, orphaned as a teen and arguably Willow Creek's--ney, Simavia's most eligible bachelor, is off the market with his marriage to childhood sweetheart, Danika Moyer (orphanded herself as a child and adopted by famous sim-mortalist, Alex Moyer).
It is rumoured that the couple are planning to have a Big Happy Family to compensate for their own childhood.
They have already welcolmed a new Landry heir, baby Nyssa. Named for her 'battle axe' great-grandmother--famous for the Family Fortune scandle that saw John's mother, Ava, rise to become family matriarch.
Only time will tell if the family's fortunes will continue to grow under its current stewardship.
New Pancake Heir
Thanks to the power of modern sim science, newly weds, Iggy Pancakes and Charles Goth, have already welcomed a new heir to the Pancake line: baby Ruby!
Of course, she doesn't really understand her position and responsibility yet. She knows only that she is loved and adored by her fathers and devoted grandparents, Bob and Eliza.
We'll leave her be for now but, rumour has it, she's destined to be the foundational sim in a whole new Rainbow Legacy. Keep an eye on our Society Pages for more info.
Sim Dispatch Notices (and a birthday!)
Adamo Martínez and his wife, Maple Martínez (née Pancakes), are saddened, and somewhat miffed, to anounce the death of Jennifer Martínez (mother), who died during their marriage ceremony early this week. Survived by her children, Leonardo, Sofia and Adamo, and beloved soulmate, Paolo, she will be much missed.
The Martínez newly weds are currently on their honeymoon doing their best to revover from being upstaged in such a ghastly manner.
Update: Adamo Martínez and his wife, Maple Martínez (née Pancakes), are further saddened to announce the death of father and renound Bodybuilder, Paolo Martínez. The family's grief is somewhat mitigated by exasperation, as, just like his wife before him, Paolo upstaged loved ones by dying during a special occassion.
On that note, Simavia Today warmily wishes a very happy joint 1st birthday to Martínez heir presumtive, Paula, and her slightly older twin, Jenny. Congrats and commiserations, girls.
Gone-ish, but not yet forgotten.
Mortimer Goth, of Pendula View, Willow Creek, passed away unremarkably on his bedroom floor earlier this week.
He is survived by his wife Bella; their six children, Cassandra, Alexander, Charles, Helena and (twins) Morticia and Leonora, and their four grandchildren, Arabella Goth, Spencer and Denise Kim-Lewis, and Ruby Pancakes.
It is understood that his heirs will be keeping his mortal remains at his ancestral home, Ophelia Villa, and that it is politely requested that mourners visit by appointment only and do not pick any of Mortimer's prized Death Flowers.
After winning the Simavian Lotto, Jasmine Holiday buys Streamlet Single and moves in with her fiancée, Carla Desai.
71 days, three generations and LOTS of kitchen fires.
Though their careers are progressing nicely, Lingjun Gu and Wanjing Gao have made very little financial progress as far as owning their own restaurant is concerned. Mainly because Lingjun keeps accidentally setting fire to their home.
They have, however, expanded their family (sons Tengyi and Huizheng, daughter Tianjian) and made some slight home improvements.
The Simavian Resettlement HO are reasonably satisfied, despite all the oven fires.
The wannabe restaurateur couple Wanjing Gao & Lingjun Gu. Alas, one (or both) may be an Unlucky Chef.
The Simavian Resettlement HO has assigned them Riverside Roost--it doesn't look like much now, but it has heaps of potential. Will they rise to the challenge and outperform the Pancakes next door, or burn it all to the ground?
Tobin Brackenthorpe, Frog Fanatic currently residing in Streamlet Single, Foundry Cove. Will he have enough room for all his frogs?
The answer is that, yes, after a fashion Tobin does have enough room for 25 frogs. But his fiancée is unimpressed--Jayleen Baker refuses to become Mrs Brakenthorpe until frog-mageddon is dealt with.
