This is an introduction to the lore behind my current gameplay.
Ember and Leonardoâs story began long before adulthood ever weighed them down. They were childhood friendsâinseparable, innocent, and always side by side. As the years passed, that bond deepened into young love, then blossomed fully when they became high school sweethearts. Everyone around them believed their future was set in stone. They were that coupleâthe kind people whispered about with smiles, convinced nothing could ever go wrong.
When Leonardo finally proposed, Ember didnât hesitate for even a second. She said yes with tears in her eyes and a heart full of dreams. Marriage felt like the final step toward the life they had always imagined together.
But reality, cruel and unyielding, had other plans.
Years went by, and the one thing Ember wanted more than anythingâa childânever came. No matter how much hope she carried or how many times she convinced herself this time would be different, her body betrayed her again and again. Each failed attempt chipped away at her spirit, leaving behind desperation she tried to hide behind soft smiles.
Meanwhile, Leonardoâs life was accelerating in ways Emberâs wasnât. Young, brilliant, and ambitious, he quickly rose in popularity as one of the youngest and most promising doctors in their area. His career thrivedâbut it demanded everything from him. Long shifts. Late nights. Missed dinners. Empty beds.
The house that was once filled with laughter slowly grew quiet.
Ember found herself alone more often than not, trapped between longing and lonelinessâdesperate to hold onto her marriage, desperate to give her husband the child she believed he deserved, and desperate not to lose the man she loved to a life that seemed to have no room left for her.
