Since the title of Lohengrin is technically a major spoiler for the opera itself, letâs all just pull a M*cbeth and start referring to it as Untitled Swan Knight Opera
13 years ago today, Pepsiâs Super Bowl commercial starring BeyoncĂ©, BritneySpears, Pink & Enrique Iglesias was premiered. #PepsiGladiators
Damn these were simpler times
so lemme break this down
-lord caesar iglesias, who does not sing in this musical commercial, has captured britney spears, pink, and beyonce to battle it out gladiator style -our trio decides instead of fighting, they will instead rock so hard that the audience forgets about their battle to the death -their musical prowess is so damn powerful they rock the foundation of the earth and overthrow caesar iglesias along with his stash of ancient roman pepsi -beyonce, britney spears, and pink drink pepsi while the audience cheers -enrique iglesias is eaten by a lion
Kendall Jenner could never >_>
yâall are overlooking the most important part of this ad. all of this centers around Queenâs âWe Will Rock Youâ, with Brian May and Roger Taylor even making a split second cameo (Rogerâs even playing a little drum!!)
truly the collab of the century
Better than avengers endgame
why canât more commercials be creative and fun like this
okay so since we all agree that being 13/14 was the worst for most of us, reblog this + put in the tags which songs/albums/artists carried you through that tough time
Justice baby, my adrenaline junkie Hawke gets off on this, you have no idea~
If you want a DA2 post-credit cutscene, do it yourself! A parody for the famous final scene from Some Like it Hot/РЎжазД ŃĐŸĐ»ŃĐșĐŸ ĐŽĐ”ĐČŃŃĐșĐž - I had this darn idea for ages (ha), ever since my jokester Hawkeâs answer from Legacy DLC when Anders starts his âYou should find someone else, loveâ self-flagellation routine. No regrets whatsoever ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
*yes theyâre on Isabelaâs ship, she let Hawke steer for a bit~
Lol, here's a fun one: if you had been born in the medieval era and without access to modern medicine, how long would you have lived? If I managed to survive being born (unlikely) I would have died at age 22 from appendicitis :) hbu?
The number of you absolutely convinced you would have been convicted of witchcraft and burned at the stake seems statistically unlikely.
no idea really. never had any dangerous illness but then again I grew up in a normal vountry where kids were vaccinated against pretty much everything so in the Middle Ages I might have died of a lot of illnesses
the director of my don giovanni production has never seen an opera in her life but she just sent out a scene-by-scene filming guide and someone should hire her to write synopsis booklets for opera houses
please ask her to let you upload the whole thing this is perfect
whats ur role in the tumblr community how do you contribute
I allegedly post about opera and liveblog sometimes but lately there hasnât been much new stuff thatâs worth watching and Iâm consumed by taiga dramas anyway
Happy International Day of Mushiness Valentineâs Day from the opera-shitposts team, yâall!
And also a great thank-you for @simone-boccanegra and @lessthansix for the pictures! which mod rayatii stole from their blogs
the real OTP of opera XD
Plans for the Sengoku tarot (I'm taking suggestions, feel free to send)

@odatodeath @odaclan @daeva-agas ideas please? I need to find cards for Akechi Mitsuhide, Date Masamune and Honda Tadakatsu. And there are still some to fill.
Akechi - Justice or Judgement. I honestly have no idea what the difference between the two is. But Honnoji was sometimes considered âjudgementâ of Nobuangaâs âwrongsâ. Also the Japanese Minister of Justice in 2015 is actually named Mitsuhide and I thought that was the funniest thing ever. Â
Masamune - the moon. His crescent helmet.
Tadakatsu - The magician, maybe? image-wise the magician has a magic wand that you can replace with his spear
I think Justice is the allegoric figure of Justice with a sword, and Judgement is Judgement day. Either could fit :D
Oh yes the Moon is perfect for Masamune!
more Skyrim characters
Leonora, Imperial. she collects poisons but wonât use them, she will just put them in one of her houses when she has a lot
Sieron, Wood Elf
Makrah, Orc
tried to make Mitsuhide again but there are NO good samurai hairstyles in either Apachii or KS Hairdos
Isabelle, my Breton Destruction/Conjuration mage (to be a vampire later)
7 and 15 for the book asks?
7. Have you ever despised something you have read? The Piano Teacher was the worst trash I had to read for uni.
15. Do you agree that Jane Eyre should be considered a feminist novel? I havenât read it since I was a teen and frankly never cared much
so I helped out the Companions with the Giant as usual but must have accidentally hit one of them because they aggroed on me. Sheathing didnât do anything. So I ran away into Whiterun, hoping they would cool down. I started smithing and they eventually walk back to town, spot me and instantly attack again. The guards give zero fucks, mind you. So I attacked Ria and apparently sheâs killable. Aela kept shooting at me so I blasted her with flames. Sheâs essential but once her health went back up she was suddenly fine with me and walked off. I then resurrected Ria with the console and she was also fine with me now, even told me to come join. I didnât even get bounty? The guard was there, watching, then the only comment he had was âheard they are reforming the Dawnguardâ
Skyrim logic...
6, 8, 24 for the book asks. :)
6. Are you the type of person who will read a book to the end whether you like it or not, or will you put it down straight away if youâre not feeling into it? Life is too short to waste on bad books.
8. answered
24. Do you prefer happy endings or sad endings? Sad, but it has to be well-written.
3, 10, and 25 for the bookish asks, if you don't mind?
3. Are there any genres you will not read? Romance, horror unless itâs historical, erotica and generally stuff with a modern day setting unless itâs magic realism or soemthign equally weird.
10. Bookmarks, dog ears or leaving the novel open and face down to keep your spot? Bookmarks only
25. Do you enjoy concepts in books to be concrete or abstract? I donât like overly philosophical books. Give me plot.
8, 26 and 27 for the books ask?
8. Do you prefer to read first person or third person? ThirdÂ
26. A book you studied in school and ended up loving? A baroque epic about a historical siege that most students hate. Itâs got so much badass fighting and heroic deaths. If only the Hungarian film industry had any money for this kind of thing...
27. Classics or modern literature? Classics
