JC smiled, bringing Simon´s hand to kiss their knuckles. Simon was so understanding, he knew he could talk to them about anything and he wouldn’t feel judged. Still, this wasn’t an easy subject to bring out and he was glad he had someone like Simon by his side. “One dinner, I promise. If you don’t like it, then it’s not for us. We can even have a q&a, so it works out for the three of us, leave it all in the open. Nothing works without communication”. He would have to do some research, it was the first time he had voiced this out loud and he wanted this to work, without hurting anyone’s feelings. “I can give her a call after breakfast. Now, the real question is, what kind of pet are we having?”
Simon did their best to let it go. JC was going to call her over and if Simon didn’t like her, then they could back out, no questions asked. JC had given them his word, and they trusted him more than anyone else. “Uh, babe,” they whined, taking the plate for breakfast and dropping it on the table. “I don’t know. What about--here, look at these?” They held up their phone to show him pictures of Sugar Gliders. “They don’t live super long so if we hate it, we don’t have to care for it forever.”
