This post/blog is for discussion. 1st, I am in my thoughts, It's time for some Ah-Ha moments. Go along with me, please. So, headlines .... a Banana sells for $120,000! 🙄, and duct-taped to the wall of an Art Gallery for a piece of art. Stop... right there and let that sink in. Think about what has just transpired. A piece of common fruit that you and I can purchase at the local supermarket, a piece of fruit growing in bunches on trees was worth that much to the buyer. Yes, You heard that right. A BANANA functioned as Art and fetched a pretty hefty price tag. Is this a question of insanity or is this a lesson in VALUE? Do you value that the banana is worth more when it is sold as a piece of art? I do think the Banana is art as all of the Creator's creations are. We are a work of Art! However, That is in a spiritual sense. Taste-wise.I love Bananas and the deserts you can make with bananas are very good. Healthwise the benefits from eating the Banana surpasses its use as the actual fruit being duct-taped to a wall. A banana is not guaranteed a long life, after all, it is actually dying taken from its life source, only the idea is alive. It will serve it's commissioned purpose but change the appearance and rot away on a wall as it ripens. So, this Banana will change its form. It will not be a pretty picture-perfect yellow Banana again. Such a short life span for an expensive purchase.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, all Bananas aside. 🍌 I can go to Bananas when I think of what my business can truly do for another business. What I do for a business is far more valuable while being cost-efficient. which doesn't match the actual value. Real creative energy, from the source (My own mind). Used to create artistic and appealing Graphic Designs. The results are a product that will continue to grow a business and give much-needed recognition which creates prosperity for that business. 💡How is that possible you say? Good design draws the target audience, which is the customers and clients. Well, what makes your business stand out from the rest? You stand out when your branding pops out. What do people see first? People will see your Brand Identity first. How do they distinguish your brand from the next? They will distinguish you from the uniqueness of your branding. Do you think the average eye will be caught by a bland logo over a custom created high-resolution scalable vector logo? Of course not. It is easy to tell a computer-generated or non-designer created logo from a design from an artist who puts time, research, effort, and value into the work. So much to explain. Be honest, Many top companies have gone on to become household names from the work of their Graphic Designer. They have been so successful that they command Millions and Billions of profit. A freelancer like myself may never reach that level but has had a part in that success. If you want to discuss more of how Simply can provide integral Branding services for your company, far more valuable than that Banana at the Art gallery, then message me.😎Or maybe you think the Banana will give you the best results🤣. By the way, that Banana got eaten by a "Hungry Performance Artist"...No big deal, it wasn't destroyed because it was an idea. The buyer bought another Banana from a local fruit store this time they didn't pay $120,000. The Art is still displayed at the gallery. Go figure! 🤣 My work will go on forever and through web and print.

Everyone has a different story, and different experiences. All you can hope is that someone can see the world like you do.
Thieves have no shame! If you have a creative business and you are more of a solo-prenuer, Freelancer, an Artist, a Crafter, Makers, Small business, the vulnerability has probably been on your mind. How vulnerable are we as we post and publish our work on the internet. As we are an opportunist who takes the opportunity to show and sell our work through various platforms. We tend to feel sort of reluctant. As I can attest, I do. I think about all the designs I have public and just how many low down opportunist there are. Who literally list something that they may not be authorized to list because as an Artist and Designer, I have exclusive rights to my designs. In this day and age, of copy and paste or hacking listing codes. Be aware of fake sellers who prey on the creators like me and others. I am not sure whether I am a victim personally but a platform that I am on has been compromised by a straight out thief. An independent artist and designer in a group I am part of informed fellow artists. As she has spotted her material on a very large Marketplace, Then others say it happened to them as well. It was troubling to see that these fake sellers are on the largest Market place under Makers. In fact, my go-to shopping source. What is even more disturbing is that they have descriptions and images from the source. Obviously, there is a breach in security that protects us, artist. Some platforms put their watermark on designs but some go left unmarked. All products may not have coverage. This is beyond the Artist and Designers control. I remember of the past stories, makers as well have fallen victim. Seeing there makes on a website they weren't familiar with. The audacity of someone stealing orders. Then the other victims are the customers who are paying for something that cannot be delivered or a low-resolution print. In my case, I wonder they don't have the source files, I do. I send high-resolution images. The images are mocks, will these thieves produce an actual product? With Christmas around the corner, so watch the internet you never know what you may see. Opportunities are everywhere and not all who seek are legit. If you see the POD products from Simply or Simplymslori and it doesn't go back to the source. The platforms that I have agreed to upload my work to. Then something is wrong. Of course, there are some platforms with affiliate agreements, this is a legal agreement with the platform to show some products on a website or blog. If you would like to feature something just let me know, I will point you in the right direction. So that you will legally agree with the platform about advertising and getting pay. Back to the subject, links have to go to the source. That means for my POD designs, all URLs lead to the platform. The platform handles the sales, they handle the customer service, they handle shipping and delivery. Payment goes to those platforms. As an Artist and Designer, I am just paid a small commission unfortunately by the platform from each sale. So every cent really counts, and if someone is stealing your design or images with the design. They profit while the artist remains starving. Sad but true :( If you are not shopping through these platforms which are secured sites, then be leary. Pay attention, please do not support a thief. Do not let a con take the credit and the money too. THIEVES HAVE NO SHAME!

My first year as Simply
HAPPY FRI-YAY! It's the weekend & I am smiling with tears in my eyes. 📢 This is the day my business became official as my local government sealed the certificate. 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 WARNING HERE COMES THE SPEECH👇 This has been a real baby. No one will know how much one person under their circumstances has dedicated to making this a thing! a real thing! Well, Sole Proprietors, Freelancers, Small business owners. You can understand the nerve you have to BE A LEGIT BUSINESS. and the CONFIDENCE you have to possess in a day in age of COMPETITORS. The self-doubt got me for a long time. Also, the multitude of running a business on your own, which is different than some businesses. I do a lot of unpaid activity, too much🤔. Yet, I enjoy what I do! 😀 In this business, I wear many hats. I am everything to the operation. An independent artist, an freelancer. Growing the Graphic Design part, while still maintaining the Graphic Arts part. It has been tough, can't honestly say the year has been exceptional. ✨My wishes are to be profitable. I mean I could use more business for both sides. Steady and Stable clients are the ultimate goal. 1 or 2 a month, branding clients. Or 3-4 intakes for all other services that are not full branding. But on a bright and positive note. I have met new people, I have had a few awesome clients along the way, developing new designs, continuing building my brand, Educating, gathering new skillsets, revitalizing my current beautiful website( will get into that soon)and going for complete MASTERY. Even shaking things up !...🤞 . Sometimes, I can't believe I were that depressed Real Estate Agent, who fell short of her glory. Who did not renew her license. Who seemed like a failure. Although, I still want to enter back in the industry. I am in 💘 with The Graphic Design Industry. My artistic talents get to see the light. However, I have dark circles and bags to show how much and how many countless hours into it 🤣🤣🤣🤣. No seriously, I do have to take care of myself just as much as this business. On another note. The universe has guided me and I followed through. So here's to year one! 🍾🍷 I am going to try to hang in here. Make this business work! Give it another year. I will extend this anniversary for special purposes. And before you fall asleep, if you haven't already........................... Monday is a time when I need to come clear. I have something planned about something I told you all I would do before the 2nd quarter was over. Also about some other ideas. Will make announcements Monday :). You will stick around right?
Simply from me to you,
Happy Fathers Day!
