Alternative mobile ways to track fronters

For those of you wanting to track fronters while not using any available system apps as of now, I figured I'd try and offer some ideas. I see mostly PC and/or physical options, but a lot of us track on the go with our phones I'm sure so here's for all of us

Obviously none of these are going to offer good statistics for how long someone has been fronting. You will simply be able to see when someone was fronting for.

1. Basic notes app - simply write down who is fronting, the time they started, and the time they ended; downside is most don't have a search feature so you'll be scrolling for a while if you want to find a certain date even if you make a new note each day to track

2. Diary app - similar to option 1, but with more customization options most likely depending of the app you would download. Simply make a new entry each time the front switches.

3. Spreadsheet - add a column for name, time started fronting, time ended fronting. With this, you can actually track the amount of days, though not hours so you could at least see the amount of days someone had fronted for once they leave front. I will make a form for this with the formula needed this weekend for everyone

4. Google form to spreadsheet - similar to above but instead of filling out the spreadsheet, you would fill out the info on a Google form and it would transfer it to the spreadsheet manually for you. Would be more useful for those who you are documenting start and end times for more than just the start time however. If there is interest, I can try to make a guide on how to create one yourself

Decision time for this blog. What do you think I should do?

Having tried both Octocon and Ampersand, I don't know that I can work with either to make templates on them as the functions are a bit janky still. If we were to continue making templates I'd be making them in a notes app and avoiding markdown options (which means no visual on how it would look on the option you choose to use it for)

We'll still make alternative terms and flag stamps, as well as other graphic items. Templates just might die out on this blog depending on how stable simply plural can remain in offline mode.

How to adapt?

Finish current template requests and no longer offer templates

Switch over now and ignore all template requests made

Switch to no markdown template system

Since everyone's quite up in arms about Simply Plural stopping updates and the likes, if you want to start transferring data to a spreadsheet if you don't like any other app options (or just want a backup list) we made one for ourselves before so here's a blank template you can bounce off of for your own use

I didn't add a slot for images because I hate how it looks having a giant box for everything else to make an image visible in just one row. You could do row 1 as images and change the headers to be going down instead, but if you want to keep count of how many you add, you can't really do that when your rows are lettered

Of course if it doesn't bother you than add a column in front of everything and add images there

Unsure about an innerworld sheet yet. Will have to think about how that would look if at all possible in a sheet like this
