Multiple users from across simmer forums/blogs have all stated they have been hacked. This is not just one or two users but a cyber attack on a large scale.

PLEASE PLEASE READ!

If you don’t already have security questions linked to your account. Do this now. Secondly, check the email associated with your sims account under Account and Privacy. It has been noted by several users that before the hacker changes the password they will change your account info. This will require the owner of the account to prove their ID with a serial code belonging to one of the games they had purchased.

Unlink your visa card. Multiple users had stated when their account was hacked that the hacker purchased items through their account. While others used their own visa and had the account banned due to using foreign currency.

After speaking with EA the other day, they stated that most of the hackers appear to be from Russia and Belarus. This is due to a crack down on users wanting to play EA games that are considered controversial aka The Sims 4. Thus, hackers are trying to steal users accounts from other countries in order to play.

Please, please, please change your account info. It has not just been a few people hacked. I truly do hope that EA will address the massive amount of hacking complains.
