Random Whovian Thought: In the episode The Doctor's Wife Idris complained that the Doctor didn't read the instructions Pull To Open. But as the picture obve shows to access the phone you have to pull to open the door. It's not the instructions on how to get in. Oh well it was a funny scene between the Doctor and her.

The first time we see this moment we were seeing it through the Doctor's eyes. Who was this Woman? How does she know me? Why does she have my screw driver? But once you've seen all the other episodes and you come back to this one and rewatch it... You see it from River's perspective.

This moment kills me. I just ache for her...

#Netflix Removing #DoctorWho February 2016!

If it wasn't bad enough that we have to wait for series 10 until spring of next year, now Netflix is planning on removing #DoctorWho from their line up! Spread the word so they know we want it to stay!

When did River learn the Doctor's name and why is it important?

Moffat has recently questioned the validity of all of Doctor’s marriages. Including… the Doctor’s and River’s. The reason he questions this is because the Doctor didn’t tell River his name when they were married.

This irked me because, I for one think they are married, not to mention they think they are married. So I’ve been mulling this over ever since I read his comments. Why? It’s what I do best when I’ve been perturbed.

Here’s what I’ve come up with…

Flashback: The Library

Doctor: River, you know my name! There’s only one reason I would ever tell anyone my name.

Let’s Kill Hitler He, Rory, and Amy all find out that the Ponds’ friend Mels is in fact Melody/River. Only Mels doesn’t know she is River yet.

The whole episode (while her kiss is killing him) the Doctor tries to teach her how to be the River he knows she will be. Then just before he dies he tells her:

DOCTOR: Find her. Find River Song and tell her something from me. RIVER: Tell her what? (The Doctor whispers in her ear.)

What if that’s when he told her his name?

If he had already told her his name, then he wouldn’t have needed to tell her his name at their wedding.

Question for any Doctor Who followers out there.

I have a friend who’s thinking of getting started with the series and has a minimal knowlege of the show.

I’m thinking of starting him out with an introduction of one story per doctor (He wants to get an understanding of it as a whole, not just the revival). He’s less concerned with starting on good stories (which I suggested) but Insead ones that will introduce him to the lore of the show.

So I’m thinking mainly Dalek and Time Lord based storys for the most part. Anybody got any good suggestions?

I've introduced a good friend of mine to DW. We just started at the begining of the reboot. But she didn't become a Whovian until DTs "Christmas Invasion" episode. Not sure if that helps or not. It depends what he's after. You could do story based episodes, i.g. Jack Harkness Eps. Or River Song Eps (two ways... The Doctors Time stream and then her time stream) etc... The Sky's the limit really.

Favorite was MS's first TARDIS. Hated his 2nd! Though I kind of like it with PC's Doctor. Must be the books.
