[TS2] Furry Bigfoot Default Replacement

Hi there! I really like Maxis usual bigfoots in TS2, but one thing bothered me a lot - their faces. This is just my personal preference, but I like to see my bigfoots all hairy hehe So I used the usual Maxis bigfoot hair & clothes, but changed the face texture, eyes and teeth. Now they are using Lilith's Feather werewolf skins and eyes by keoni-chan. I use them personally but I think they would go with a lot of other default eyes. The original default was made by Amaryll on GoS, but it contained the matching skintone as well, and it didn't match Maxis ones as seen in the left picture:

So I fixed it by merging Maxis textures for the neck and Lilith for the face:

Flattened Sims 2 Maps

My troubles have been saved by Slig they had flatten the 3 og maps and added more roads.

SC4 Maps

So for my SimCity uberhood i chose to set it up in 3 parts the mountains will be where the farmlands will be. It will have one major highway like Strangetown, but i think for terrain i want to use @criquette-was-here’s dirt terrain on MTS. for some reason it doesnt work with rual roads or curious b roads so ill have to figure it out. 

The main urban area will be flat. I can alway alter it in the sims 2 but for now i just wanna focus on setting up roads. That will be lush, mainly because i dont like the whole map straight up cement. I’d rather use some effects to blend it.

My coastline will be where most of the apartment/condos will be. This will be about as heavly populated as the urban area but have more rich families and neighborhoods in it.

Issues Ive run into:

No matter how i do it the maps for Strangetown and the other hoods wont show up in the downloads folder so i have two options. Either i leave the maps as is or i make entirely new ones. either way i still have a lot of work to do.

Uberhood Plan

So I have this plan for an Uberhood and its... a lot. What I want to do is of course connect all the neighborhoods into one, but add a variety of subhoods to match under the banner of SimCity. Where I grew up there was an urban landscape, a beach, farmland and national parks. I think it would be cool to intergrate that with the premade towns of the sims 2. 

The main hood will be my version of SimCity. I will use a lot of @criquette-was-here @lowedeus for the hood decor and effects. For now this all I have planned out entirely, I know every other town will be subhoods, but I’m tempted to change their maps and even combine some (like pleasantveiw and bluewater village)

My main concern in doing this is loosing existing files (ie relationships, memories and gravestones)

This is a recreation of a memorable location in Pleasantview’s story pictures. For accuracy, I had to turn the bars backwards. They function, but your bartenders will be facing the wall so you may consider flipping them the correct way. :P

So I’ve been playing the sims 2 for a long time and as windows has updated, my shortcut icon for the game looked more and more out of place. Recently I came across a thread on reddit by  u/LuqiRN where they made a HQ .ico in two versions. I use this on @lazyduchess Sims2RPC shortcut since its meant to replace the normal one anyway. YOU NEED TO EXTRACT THE ICON YOU WANT AND PLACE IT WHERE YOUR COMPUTER CAN FIND IT.

How to change Shortcut icons on Windows 10:

1.) Right click on your shortcut and click on the Properties tab.

2.) Click the Shortcut header.

3.) At the bottom you should see the Change Icon button and click it.

4.) A new window should open asking you select a new .ico image, instead click Browse and navigate to where you placed the new .ico image. For me I keep it in my Sims 2 Tools folder with lot adjuster and all that. 

5.) After that hit Apply and OK. It should have switched over.

Conversions For Days

Recently I’ve gotten more into finding 1t2, 3t2, 4t2 and Mt2 conversions for my uberhood rather then hunting down new things of clutter. This link is to a Live Journal where someone has found and organized all these items (esepecially my kryptonite clutter 😅)
