i still like the longer hair i used in my previous artwork of him... may repurpose it for an eclipsed ace design, who knows!

ace is a really interesting character to me, i feel like he's percieved in the fandom to be a lot more innocent than he actually was. i've been thinking a lot about how he got eclipsed, how he made all of the wrong choices despite being in anti-night and presumably knowing how to survive it. his mistakes almost seem intentional, and i haven't really seen anybody talking about that. he may be doomed, but i think he doomed himself!

not only that, but are we going to talk about how the "vacation" thing was probably a flat out lie? i think what happened to ace was planned out, either by himself or the influence (in which case he knew what the influence was planning somehow?)

he probably made excuses to try and protect his friends. obviously, that didn't work out, but he most likely held onto hope? i kind of love how much he lied to them, actually. such an interesting character.
