My boyfriend Sam and I have been listening to Les Miserables in the car. And we decided to record our own little version of Master of the House. Enjoy!

Just a reminder

I am not a professional singer

I am not a vocal teacher

I am not a vocal performance major

I haven’t even received formal vocal training

I am simply a teenager who sings a lot and sings pretty well. I have A TON of experience in practice but not so much in theory. I don’t have the most knowledge in the world when it comes to vocal performance, and it’s probably better to ask someone other than me if you want serious techincal advice from a professional. I’m just trying my best here! :)

What's the difference between having a musical theatre singing teacher and and a classical singing teacher?

Musical theatre technique is very different from classical technique. Musical theatre is more about communicating emotion and projection and less about technical accuracy. Classical singing is much more technical and less emotional.

It’s sort of like the difference between an opera singer’s voice and someone like Sutton Foster’s voice. :)

Musical theatre teaching is more of the acting aspect of musical theatre where as musical theatre singing teacher is more of the singing techniques.
