SINGING WITH MY MOUTH FULL 012: TAMALE TEMPTATION
In this installment of Mouthful we pay homage to our greater Mesoamerican traditions and celebrate the Mexican holiday, Cinco De Mayo, with tempting vegan tamales made easy! Listen to the podcast and review instructional images below:
INGREDIENTS: WRAPPING  â˘Â Corn husks of 2 fresh corn stalks
 FILLING  â˘Â 4-5 Button Mushrooms, chopped
 â˘Â 2-3 Kale Stalks
 â˘Â 1 Cup Dried Red Kidney Beans (soaked and cooked)
 â˘Â 1 medium sized Red Onion, chopped
 â˘Â 4-5 Cloves Garlic,  finely chopped
 â˘Â 1 Red Pepper, grilled and sliced
 â˘Â  Fresh Corn off the cob
 â˘Â 1 Jalapeno Pepper (to taste â ours was Jumbo Sized)
 â˘Â ½ teaspoon Cumin
 â˘Â ½ Cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
 â˘Â Salt & Pepper to taste
  ⢠Juice of 1/2 lime, to preserve color
