Holiday me

Sorry for the rant but

Last night following the social at REM and a few drinks at eagle my boyf and I were waiting for food before heading home. I'd opted not change out of my gear as I figured I'd be fine in my rubber tracksuit bottoms. How wrong I was.

A bunch of middle-aged women (it's always middle-aged women isn't it) were making snide comments. I turned around and defended myself somewhat ineliquently before storming out of the place. Boyf was better able to deal with them before we got our cab home.

I'm not upset by this. I'm fucking angry. I'm angry because up until then I'd had a rare night in the village when I'd actually enjoyed myself. I'm still angry reflection on it all this morning. It's highlighted yet again the need for greater awareness of kink without its normalisation as well as the need for our safe spaces to remain our safe places. If anything the experience has galvanized me to be more visible and challenge these arseholes.

Bottom (no pun intended) line: this morning I'm not ok but I'll be back bigger and kinkier
