Matthew Daddario being the cutest cute to ever cuteĀ (ļ¾ā3ā)ļ¾*:dļ¾ā§
it took an amazing amount of self-control not to reach back and smack the man upside the head. because someĀ people, no matter how much the changed, still acting like the same punk asses they were growing up. Felix had absolutely noĀ doubt that luke would continueĀ being a punk ass until he died, and then would still somehow manage to be a punk ass from the grave.Ā āmost, if not all, caused entirely by you,ā felix said flippantly, waving the comment off with a roll of his eyes. heād dealt with luke long enough, and now ran his own base filled with cocky asshole kids, so heād grown rather bulletproof to sass (mostĀ sass, the record would show that he stillĀ spent an inordinate amount of time riled up for no good reason).Ā
and honestly, for the amount of times heād run into luke in the past, none of them good, particularly in the years that followed the shadow wars between olympus and ichor, he shouldĀ have been more weary of the man. felix was a force of his own, but that was in the past. heād been permanently wounded, battered down by years and years of fighting. he was an easy target for luke (and if he had anything to say about it, a highly unsportsmanlike one). but he wasnāt worried. One, because he knewĀ luke. and even in the otherās time in ichor, luke had spent a great deal of his time seemingly avoiding felix. but, wellā¦.there had been more than a few times where heād ended up on the bad side of his knives. thatĀ was something felix hadnāt forgotten, and would most likely neverĀ forgetā¦though he had forgiven him for it. he was too fucking tiredĀ to be holding onto anger like that.
ā¦but secondly, felix had grown a bit less naive in his older age. he had, up on the roof, one of the veryĀ best snipers in the business. and heād chosen this open area because there wasnāt anywhere luke could reallyĀ get away to. call it his insurance policy. heād done nothing to hideĀ his sniper either. he knewĀ luke knew the guy was there. which was all fine. because he knew he wasnāt here by mistake, and he knew (or rather hoped) that luke didnāt think he was stupid enough to come with no defense.Ā
āso, why are you getting sloppy?ā he asked, cutting right to the point. because, well, that was the real reason he was here, wasnāt it? felix had beenĀ ghost, heād lived that life already. he had possibly been the best shadow in the business in his day, so he knew, with the kind of certainty that comes from experience, that he hadnāt foundĀ luke because he was good. if luke had been tracked down, it was because he wantedĀ to be found, subconsciously or not.Ā āgetting lonely, after all these years of indiscriminate killing?ā he gave him a knowing lookāa look that proved he knew more than he let on.Ā ābecause iām not stupid enough to not realize when iām beingĀ āsummonedā. so, what is it that you want me here for?ā and that admission, really, showed the amount of trust felix still had in him. because even when one of the deadliest men in the world set up what was damn near classified as a trap, he still walked willingly into it. because yes, the sniper could and wouldĀ kill luke if he did anything fishy. but luke couldĀ absolutely drop felix first if he wanted to. felix simply trustedĀ him not to.Ā
without the slightest inclination to either take a seat with or stand before the other male, luke decided to stay where he was, poised and deathly still --- a stark contrast to his previous unrest and impatience. he was much better at hiding things now; such as how tight he was currently coiled, ready to STRIKE if needed, or the hint of curiosity masked behind a meticulously dissectingĀ look. he then concealed the rarity that were his flashing pearly whites, but behind a smirk of enjoyment instead of the default scowl. as he laced his fingers together before him, head tilting a fraction of an inch, he spotted the end of a certain old knifepoint scar luke had impulsively placed on felixās neck years ago. there was never any doubt that this was not the same man --- the young assassin simply wanted to reminisce ... and blatantly ignore the comment regarding loneliness. belonging to nothing but the shadows was admittedly beginning to eat at him.
ā SLOPPY ? ā luke mused with mock offense, his tone despicably arrogant. ā this little rendezvous is anything but. if you want to hear theĀ truth, well, as truthful as anĀ espionageĀ god can be, then here it is --- you were the one being sloppy. iāve known youāve been hot on my trail since fuckingĀ SIBERIA. took you longer than iād have expected for you to catch up though, you know. getting a little lethargic in your old age, are you ? ā eyes returned to scanning the area once again, half out of habit and half out of faked disinterest. luke hadnāt been this amused in a while. ā so, that begs the question of what exactly it is you want me for. ā
after straightening out to tower over the older agent --- or whatever he was now, luke ran a hand back through his raven-dark hair, looking back to him with a cocked eyebrow. given his own track record, the youth had half a mind to expect a proposal of blackmail or a guilt-tripping speech regarding a sense of duty and patriotism, but luke knew neither would be the case --- not from HIM. there wasnāt more than a mere handful of people in the entire world who truly knew luke sinclair; faults, motives, desires and all ... and the man sitting before him was one of them.Ā they probably didnāt even need to catch up in order for it to be known that luke was more SEFLISHLY content than ever before. for once in his life he was finally free to make the choices he wanted to make without reservation --- having become an untamable and formidable force to be reckoned with. everything heād ever wanted to be. mostly.Ā
ā shit,Ā hold that thought --- ā a pointed finger and the assassin was checking an expensive-looking-and-definitely-not-his watch on his wrist, eyes narrowing to slits of focused cerulean as his brow furrowed. then, that same hand prodded a little roughly and a lot annoyingly at felix, urging him to get up and follow him as he began to walk in the opposite direction from which he came. ā can you manage walking and talking ? --- i have some place far more IMPORTANT to be, you see. ā there was a tactful pause before luke continued with a dismissive scoff. ā donāt forget to tell the wannabe at your three-oāclock to keep up, either, i guess.Ā ā
@sinlcair
he couldnāt say with completeĀ certainty that luke would be there. even his own ops team, his highly trainedĀ ops team, had trouble tracking theĀ āghostā down. heād first heard wind of an ex-army hitman with the dangling ghost id tag back in the states, from a report heād been handed down by the state of defenseāsome delegation bullshit that he had far less patience for nowadays. and even though there was virtually noĀ information in that file, and noĀ usable leads he could bounce off of, he didnāt need them. there was only one person in the world with those dog tags, and he knew exactlyĀ who that one person was.Ā
now, tracking luke down had been difficult, yes. but somehow not as hard as heād expected. maybe it was a combination of the kid wantingĀ to be found, and him just not caring if he wasā¦ego was not something that luke had ever lacked, that was for certain. so when soter sat on the bench in baden-baden, germany, heād almostĀ expected luke to find him. as it turned out, he didnāt have to wait long at all.Ā āi always thought you were more of aĀ ātaurusā anyway,ā soter mused, smiling at his own stupid and rather dad-like joke when he caught sight of the (admittedly) taller male, changed and grown, but almost certainlyĀ the same snot-nosed kid heād had to deal with years ago.Ā āseen any ghosts lately?ā
little sinclair, ares, loki,Ā now GHOST. thoughĀ no longer soĀ little any longer, LUKE remained as enigmatic as ever, both in name and adaptable skillset. he was a boy --- a man now, who couldnāt ever stay in one place too long, nor be still and simply settle without a fierce yearning for excitement overtaking him like withdrawals. this particular european city, for instance was beginning to get to him. in the years that heād been ASSASSINATING, heād never, not once, pulled off two consecutive hits in one place. a former mentors chastizing voice echoed in his mind with how thoughtlessly STUPID that was to do, but those doubts were controlled and then stifled. luke was once well-known for a unique brand of careless recklessness, but his current mission was anything but.Ā
worn combat boots stayed rooted for yet another minute in a strategic spot against an alleyās wall where he could easily scan from. thoughts were beginning to race, fingers fluttering with anticipation whilst sky-bright eyes darted around in search for his next target. not the politicians daughter next on his hitlist --- but that scolding gruff-voiced older agent that had done for luke more than a few things in which to be eternally grateful for. ( not that heād ever get to thanking the old man.Ā )Ā
the assassin lurched forward, suddenly moving with the prowling grace of a panther that had just spotted the prey to make his heart race. the risk to stay in town was well-calculated, after all --- because there, sitting casual as if they were in london just yesterday, wasĀ AGENT SOTER. felix brennowitz. the ghost before him. a surprisingly unforced grin found itself upon lukeās face as he leaned slightly over the back of the bench, a deep-voiced drawl of a comeback on his recognizably scarred lips. Ā ā with how much more white hair youāve sprouted, i think i can safely count you as one, canāt i ?Ā ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā donāt mock me, luke ā i was really worried. ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā rory pouted, thinking about how distraught sheād been whenever she thought what could have possibly happened to him. her cheeks seemed to become an even darker shade of red as he returned his mouth to her neck, reaching up to tangle her fingers in his already tousled locks. this was supposed to be about making h i m feel better, but she was quickly losing her grip on the situation. she should have known things wouldnāt go her way, considering it was luke, after all. tugging at his hair, she attempted to protest between flustered noises.Ā ā l-luke, wait ā this is supposed to be about you, i-i want to make you fā ā she was interrupted as a soft moan involuntarily left her lips, causing her to lose her train of thought completely.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā luke wanted her protests toĀ cease. lips sucked at her skin-- hard, and after a moment he pulled back only enough to look at the dark bruise and drag his tongue over it slowly. āi do feel better,ā he held her gaze-- his own with a certain intensity in the moonlight. slightly, his jaw tightened. āalright?ā he meant it. fingertips glided so very GENTLY up the side of roryās thigh. luke was a boy who talked fast and his hard, yet here he was being every so soft with her. the corner of his mouth turned upwards in the smallest smirk, and he didnāt breakĀ eye contact. he wanted to see this. lukeās hand crept overĀ her leg until it was between them, sliding up quickly, now-- he was impatient. lips grazed over hers at the exact moment his hand was stopped-- heād moved it upwards as far as it could go. luke nipped at her bottom lip, tugging on it with his teeth and wasted no time before moving his fingers against her panties, slowly, but firmly.Ā
āprincess.
Rory laughed a little nervously as he spoke, watching his movements carefully. Her cheeks only grew more and more red by the second. As Luke pulled his lips away from hers, she followed them a little mindlessly before catching herself. She let out a shaky breath at his lipsā and his tongueā on her neck, and she felt so stupid because she didnāt know what to do withĀ herself. She had gotten soĀ flustered at the slightestĀ touches of his lips. She couldnāt help it. A small smile spread across her lips as he thanked her.Ā ā Iām glad youāre okay. I really did miss you. ā She bit into herĀ bottom lip, her eyes wandering down to his.Ā
ā Aw, did you think something terrible happened?Ā āĀ She was so worried and Luke felt a little bit guilty. He hadnāt even thought of her for the past couple days. Just a whole lot of anger, regret, and self-hatred. It wasnāt terrible to him ( he was used to it ) but the boy had gotten into a LOT of trouble. His father didnāt love it in the slightest. His brother made sure he knew it. The bruises were under his shirt and hidden-- what was he worried about? Reaching out without thinking about it and exposing his fingers slightly, he thumbed at her flushed cheeks. Ā Theyād never done... much. Sheād always insisted that she didnāt care and wasnāt interested, though Lukeās arrogance had difficulty believing it. Her eyes fell to his lips, and Luke knew she wanted them. His mouth moved back to her neck, and this time he didnāt come back out, sucking and kissing at her tender flesh long enough to leave m a r k s.
āprincess.
āĀ What? What is it? ā She asked, searching his eyes a little. Something was bothering him, but she couldnāt tell what itĀ was. She watched him carefully as he shrugged the covers off of them, her eyebrows furrowing curiously when LukeĀ failed to finish his sentence. She decided it was probably best to drop it āā she didnāt want to upset him. A smileĀ formed on her lips as he smiled at her, again feeling the warmth at the pit of her stomach. Her cheeks became hot at the touch of his lips, and even hotter when she felt his tongue slide over her skin ever so slightly.Ā ā W-whatā- What are you doing, L-Luke? ā She stuttered out, finding it difficult to steady her words. She always did when sheĀ was nervous or flustered, and right then she was both.
God, she was adorable. Adorable in the sense that he always wanted her close-- he always wanted to mess with her... because then she was even more adorable. He was surprised heād gotten away with that, but not everyone was as overly-perceptive as himself. The wry smirk returned at her reaction.Ā ā I told you, Rory. Iām hungry. And since you didnāt bring any snacks...Ā ā He leaned in again, impulsively, but that didnāt matter. This time, his lips met hers and he SUCKED gently, hiding his hand in the sheets on the other side of her before hovering close. After a moment, his lips moved to her neck and his tongue slipped out, licking her there, too. Ā Bright eyes looked up to catch hers and he stopped. They were full of curiosity, but mostly just mischief. He was distracting her-- easily too. Anything to put off talking about his problems. Anything.Ā ā ...Ā Thanks for coming.Ā ā
Send me a ā and my muse will kiss yours
āprincess.
A heavy sigh left her lips as she was dropped onto his mattress, propping herself up onto her elbows as Luke frantically reeled the rope back in through the window.Ā ā Luke, whatās wroā ā Before she could finish, she felt Lukeās fingers over her mouth, her cheeks flushing at the proximity. She silently thanked the Gods for the darkness, making it impossible for Luke to see.Ā When the boy took his hand back, she could only assume that it was safe to speak again. Just in case, she kept her voiceĀ at a low, but frantic whisper.Ā ā I-Is everything okay? Iām not Ā going to getĀ you in trouble, am I? I shouldnāt have comeā Iāmā I-I was justĀ so worried a-and I had to see youāIām sorry. ā
ā Itās fine. Youāre fine, Iām fine, weāre all fi-- Fuck.Ā āĀ Luke looked down only to see that heād half-hazardously smudged blood on her porcelain-- slightly red-- skin. From his fingers. Shrugging off the covers, he settled into the bed next to her and bit his lip, wondering if sheād even notice. Fingers curled into his palms-- he hid them well. He his most things well, like his arms under the hoodie, the paranoia from his eyes. Maybe,Ā not so much.Ā āĀ We just have to be quiet... I think. Probably not, they didnāt care when I was... āĀ Yelling earlier. He didnāt finish the sentence.Ā ā Donāt apologize. Iām glad you came.Ā āĀ He meant it, giving her a small smile of sincerity before his eyes were drawn back to the stain. He couldnāt do this. Leaning in, the dark-haired boy kissed her cheek. Kissed the blood... and then he licked a little, making sure to wipe the metallic taste off her skin. She might have noticed after that.
āprincess.
She scoffed, rolling her eyes as she stuck her tongue out at him when he called her a nerd. She hadnāt really realizedĀ how much sheād missed him until now, and sheād do justĀ about anything to get to spend time with him. She listenedĀ intently, walking over to the aforementioned bush && retrievingĀ the long piece of rope. Looking between the window and the rope in her hands a few times, she laughed nervously.Ā āĀ Right⦠no problem. Sounds totally easy. I can do that, ā She said, reassuring herself more than anything. Taking her lip between her teeth in concentration, she threw the end of the rope towards the window.Ā ā Crapā ā She hissed when she completely missed her target. Pulling the rope until theĀ hook was back in her hands, she prepared for a second try.Ā This time, she thought less about the outcome && just wentĀ for it, like she had done with the rock earlier. Sure enough,Ā the hook caught the window sill perfectly. Rory couldnāt helpĀ but celebrate her accomplishment, jumping up and down aĀ bit before returning to the task at hand. Hesitantly, she began scaling the side of his house, gripping the rope until her knuckles turned white. It wasnāt so hard once she got the hang of it. AsĀ she reached the top, she reached out for Luke, needing hisĀ assistance to actually get inside of the house.Ā ā A little help here, please?Ā ā
A sly smirk found his way onto Lukeās lips as he watched. He wasnāt going to offer any more help-- his instructions were very clear. He never liked making things easy, either, and it looked like she already knew that. When she MISSED, he let out a laugh, much louder than heād meant.Ā ā 'CrapāĀ ā Luke mocked, using her voice, so very amused that she didnāt swear. When she began to climb, however, a noise wiped the smile off his face and made his skin lose two shades of color. { ā LUCALION? ā } Muffled. They were being too loud. Panic hitched in his gut and the boy quickly reached over and heaved Rory inside and onto his bed before grasping up the rope as quickly as he could.Ā ā Fuck.Ā ā The last thing he saw was a shadow in the grass-- presumably a Sinclair checking on his window from the outside-- before he ducked and dropped down, pulling the covers over them both. Fingers clasped over Roryās lips. His body pressed against hers, nearly protective. He was asleep-- He was going to keep her safe. After a moment,Ā and nothing, he untensed and let go of her lips-- but that was it. Ā
āprincess.
ā The school has this nifty thing called the student directory. Makes stalking you super easy. ā She let out a small laugh, shoving her hands into the pockets of her thin jacket. She couldnāt help but roll her eyes up at the boy as he explained why he hadnāt been around. Of course he had gotten into trouble. She pouted. Ā ā Well, Iāve been worried. You canāt just drop off the grid like thatā¦. āItās a big deal to me. ā She narrowed her eyes slightly as he inquired about snacks, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. Ā ā I didnāt bring any, but youāre out of your mind if you think Iām leaving. Either you come down here, or tell me how to get up there. Iām not taking no for an answer, so you can just save your oh so precious breath. I have to make sure youāre okay. ā
Of course. āĀ Nerd,Ā ā he corrected. Luke looked her over-- God, was she in a dress? He supposed it wasnāt entirely ridiculous. It was a warm night and she probably didnāt have jeans in her closet. It warmed his heart, ever so slightly, that Rory missed him. Cared about him. Unless, he was just feeling a little bit tired and confused. --Probably just that.Ā ā Iām perfectly fine. Now, listen up. Yāsee that fucking bush, right over there? Thereās rope in it. Use that excellent aim to throw the hook at the end up here and climb.Ā ā He crossed his arms and stood back so that the metal tied to the end could grapple at the window sill. Sheād be able to scale the wall easily, then-- heād done it a thousand times. It canāt have been that hard.Ā āĀ Canāt fucking believe you didnāt bring SNACKS,Ā ā he complained, slightly relieved that she was coming up because there was a less of a chance his mother spotting her.Ā
